If Uzume beats Ikki bad enough would she be deactivated? Because Ikki is less of an adult than Musubi. It's like you combined the immaturaty of Musubi and Kuusano, the insanity of Yukari, and didn't actually give her any positive traits.
Ikki's issue is that she's going by what she knows and the crap MBI fed her. She's finally in the game, reacted too strongly to her Ashikabi, Ichigo. Her reaction with Uzume is more of a shock, as why would
any Sekirei not want to protect her Ashikabi with more Sekirei?
She can't understand it and to her POV Uzume is acting selfishly and putting their Ashikabi in more danger.
She also admitted in her argument with Uzume that she was wrong to push to fast, as she assumed that if she reacted Nanaha would react. She still thinks Nanaha will react, and she wants her to be Ichigo's Sekirei badly yes, but not to where some are thinking of a forced winging.
Mainly as Nanaha is Ikki's counterweight, and you already saw that she quickly got the idea of what Ikki was doing. She is not too thrilled by it. And I think we showed what happens with how Nanaha can get when Ikki's crossed a line. Ikki herself knows this, but again, expected her to react like she did.
Ghost and I did go in knowing that this could be a reader reaction after Ikki's verbal fight, but do want to point out to what we stated in her bio. The girl does wants whats best for her loved ones, its just that she gives it all she's got, and she may not realize that she may be going in the wrong direction. Besides, Yukari is still more insane than Ikki.
We did try to show at the end, with Uzume and Ikki working with the cleanup before Yashima showed up with Ichigo that Ikki had pretty much forgiven Uzume there for acting like she did through her actions(her "it can't be helped"), but it probably didn't show up well enough. It's just that when Ichigo came back with Yashima that she came to the logical but completely wrong conclusion that Ichigo wants to win this game (and her incorrect conclusions reinforced by not realizing why Uzume has such sadness on her face). We're going to have to revise that.

I doubt very much that Uzume would do so. She'd have to really belive that Ikki continued existence is outright harmful to ichigo in order to decide so.
And I'm not sure even if she reached that conclusion, she'd got rid of her, a beating to lay down her law yes, but not deactivating her. It would compromise Ichigo safety, and even worse, Ichigo would never forgive her if he somehow learned of it.
This is very spot on. And I know that those speaking against Ikki are viewing her through their own eyes but aren't quite thinking of how Ichigo would really take something like that happening.
Its one thing to establish pecking order, but a beating to outright termination? And to get away with it she'd have to lie to
both Ichigo and Miya? And then how bad it would be if and when what really happened gets out?

There is also the fact that sekirei are linked physically to their ashikabi, and that that link goes both ways.
This is also true. We have already seen it in-story with Yashima's cry for help. We also saw it in canon with Mikogami after Yomi was terminated.
Hammer girls winging will make the whole situation even more complicated for Ichigo, because now he won't be able to say that he isn't willing to wing more if they react to him, not to mention that what he just witnessed and rescued her from will make him very pissed that this is not the only incident.
It's an utter reinforcement of what Seo told him. And to get to an earlier question, Uzume likely does not know about this or to the extent of how much goes on with her not being a forced lackey for Higa.
I do hope he gets out of his phase of not doing much beside bemoaning the loss of his irrelevant spiritual powers at this time, he is far from powerless in the real world.
He is pretty much out of that phase, but the news was a shock to him and his thoughts quickly assumed the worst.
