The soft jingle of the chimes alerted Urahara that his shop had a visitor. Pausing for a moment he internally debated on whether or not to deal with the riftraft himself, but chances where that Tessai could handle most of the strays that came round looking for special gigai's or other items of interest. After all, even after a hundred years, neither he nor Yoruichi had decreased in power nor been detected despite Soul Society frequently trying to detect them.
Hpmh, once news of Yoruichi spreads through Sereitei, people are bound to realize that I am still the greatest! Urahara mentally cackled. After all, I did perfect the gigai. Oh yes, Urahara was perfectly aware of the quality products made in Sereitei and Rukongai and how they all trumped of their so called their "improvments" and "advantages"
"Tsk, tsk, tsk. Weaklings should not overreach themselves lest they fall" Urahara said silently as he bent down and continued on the unconscious Ururu with his specialised reiatsu gloves as he returned to debate on whether how best to increase her and nurture her blossoming reiatsu within the parameters of his Limiters. Really. What did he care that others were becoming flithy rich of his efforts and his works ?
Perhaps he should have Kurosaki's son come 'round a bit and do some menial work. Yes that would work
Tessai could help expand the boy's combat experience by fighting against him with Kido. Gods know its impossible to teach Ichigo anything from a book if he didnt want to Perhaps even refine the boy's glaringly spacey reiatsu control and dare he even think it ? Teach the boy the basics of Kidou ?
And besides Urahara thought as he sealed Ururu's body up after completing his checks on her internal systems,
His reiatsu would provide the perfect cover for Ururu's own while the little girl with some extra combat experience. Sadly, trouble follows you like cat to fresh fish Ichigo-kun.

Not the he doubted of course. That man could have actually given his daughter some degree of ability...but in so far as from the gossip he heard, Urahara doubted that Nemu could even come close to the perfection that was Ururu. Perhaps he should devote a few more hours into researching zanpakuto ? If only I could give you a zanpakuto of your own Ururu...the mayhem I could cause..fufufufufufu.not to mention the heart attacks it would cause!
The aneuryisms alone would wipe out half the Central 46 once they heard what he what done. Note to self, build a Scrying Pool or some other means of spying on Sereitei while trapped in this realm. Maybe he could hook up his old camera system. Maybe it was still functioning...and even if it wasn't there had to be an insane amount of good recordings among all the other junk there
It was only as he did the buttons of Ururu's shirt up did he notice that the shop was particulary quiet. In fact, it was as if there was no noise at all and now it was all coming back to him in a rush. Do I really breathe that loud ? Must be getting slack after all these years

I personally think it would be hilarious should both Isshin and Ryuuken crashed the party on the Soukyouku Hill. It's definitely a stretch and would be difficult to pull off since neither of them are exactly father of the year material. In point of fact, Ryuuken would be a real threat to Aizen seeing as he's not a Shinigami, and thus, has never seen Aizen's release; it also doesn't help Aizen that Ryuuken is a long range machine.
Or alternatively, another amusing idea would be Orihime accidentally negating Rukia in a fubared attempted at stopping Aizen from removing the orb, thus destroying the orb and fucking Aizen's plans over.

As events in the Soul Society were reaching their climax two deceptively powerful fathers were enjoying some tea as they sat in Ishida Ryuuken's kitchen.
"What do you suppose they're getting up to, Kurosaki-san?" the eldest heir to the Quincy line asked of his fellow physician and father.
Isshin was unchacteristically somber as he sipped his tea and responded, "I wish I could say Ichigo was spending quality time with his new bride away from his loving father's watchful eye but even I'm not that optimistic."
"You think his heritage will come up?" Ryuuken asked with a raised brow.
Isshin snorted and responded, "With as vindictive as Oyaji can be, I wouldn't put it past him. Never mind the trouble someone like Retsu-chan could cause."
"At least knowing the truth will keep them from executing your new daughter-in-law. Technically, no laws were broken in her tranfusing her reiatsu into what at its core would count as another Soul Society noble. If anything, it would merit a commendation for quick thinking," Ryuuken replied with a knowing smirk.
"Hmm, and maybe your son will come home with a new Shinigami girl for you to meet, old friend. There are some rather fetching members of the different divisions that he could interest," Isshin teased back, only to smirk at the grimace of distaste to cross Ryuuken's lips.

And back in Soul Society, Kurotsuchi Nemu sneezed for the first time in her life.

"No need to speculate on things beyond our control I suppose, Isshin-san," Ryuuken replied, conceding the small verbal sparring match to the former division captain.
"I agree," Isshin responded with a brighter smile as a bit of his melacholy lifted. Now if only he could get past whatever was making him feel like bolting every few seconds. Or at least find out the cause and direct it at Kiuske in an effort to save himself.
