Okay, this is a thread for recomending webcomics.
If there's actually another thread for this, I'll apologize.
Until then, webcomics.
MegaTokyo. If I have to explain...
Girl Genius. Awesome steampunk. This person has also done the artwork for some of Aspirin's Myth books.
Dresden Codak. SCIENCE! PHILOSOPHY! WEIRD SHIT IN GENERAL! Still awesome.
Yosh! Catgirls, talking penguins, forces of darkness, anime, things that are basicaly persocoms, ninjas, sorcery, demons, and did I mention the monsters? What more could you ask for?
Blue Zombie. Dead, but still awesome. wait NO! I didn't mean to use a pun...
Feywinds. Awesome fantasy. That is all.
Apple Geeks. There's a mac joke in here somewhere.
A Miracle of Science. Completed. In the future Mad Science is treated like mental disorder. With stages. Yes, it's great, art's meh though.

Well, what are you waiting for? Anyone know a good webcomic?

... Well, I suppose if it counts, pretty much any Deviant Art Tournament. Though they're a tad hard to follow without the proper channels.

Oh, and this xkdc thing I'm reading right now. And I suppose those Seraph Inn ones, though they could use a tad bit of work. Nice for the intrigue and mystery, but the action scenes in the first were largely lacking and the plot left a tad something to be desired.

And looking from one to the other, the characters look a tad similar, but with artists I suppose this is pretty common. Not that I'd know, but I've seen similar things with different series holding true. :sweat2:

I read (in this order, no less):

http://schlockmercenary.com/

http://shortpacked.com/index.html

http://nuklearpower.com/latest.php

http://www.vgcats.com/comics/

http://www.penny-arcade.com/comic/

http://leasticoulddo.com/

http://www.lfgcomic.com/page/latest

http://www.questionablecontent.net/

http://xkcd.com/

http://www.sinfest.net/

Best one is xkcd. No question. If you don't read it, you should.

I personally like LICD and Penny Arcade next most, then Questionable Content and SchlockMercenary and 8bit Theater, then Shortpacked, VGCats, and LFG. Sinfest I just picked up, but after reading all 8 years of it in 2 days, i can safely say its pretty good.

Ah, yes. Webcomics...probably the first form of entertainment I discovered on the internet. Well, aside from free books.

Narbonic - Mad science, gerbils, and evil. And complete. The text is a little hard to read in the beginning, but it improves much later on. And it is awesome.

Sluggy Freelance - One of the oldest and still-kicking webcomics out there, I recently took it upon myself to get caught up with it again. Ranges from humorous to awesome to parody to ridiculous and...well. Experience it yourself. It is nifty.

Yet Another Fantasy Gamer Comic - A DnD-based, somewhat sketchy comic that is nevertheless quite good. It starts out with a beholder spying on a goblin bathing...and sort of mushrooms from there. Has bare boobies on occasion, so probably not work safe.

Marry Me - A fairly short but complete webcomic. A guy gets dragged along by his best friend to a pop concert. He winds up marrying the star of the show without meaning to...or did he? Cute, fluffy, well-illustrated...don't expect anything too realistic or deep, but still a good read.

1/0 - A classic (and complete) webcomic that...hmm. I guess you could say it explores self-referentiality, as crazy as that sounds. Might not be for everyone, but give it a shot.

Something Positive - The long, ongoing tale of an apathetic asshole involved in theater, his two very violent female friends, and a boneless cat. Funny stuff.

Questionable Content - A guy, a girl, and another girl. And a robot named Pintsize. And Indy Rock references. Greatly amusing.

A Girl and her Fed - What happens when the ghost of Benjamin Franklin, a liberal journalist with a black belt and no attention span, a cybernetically enhanced government agent, and a talking koala get together? This comic. It's better than it sounds. Art stinks early on (and still isn't great), but in my opinion, the writing makes up for it.

Darkbolt - ...I've read this webcomic for quite awhile. I like it. You might not. It's a sentai-esque series involving humanity, demons, angels, and aliens.

Dan and Mab's Furry Adventures - Yes, OMGFURRY. Got it out of your system? Okay, art early on stinks, but then it reaches this point where it improves astronomically. Like many webcomics, it tries to balance humor and fantasy, and does the job fairly well.

Zebra Girl - Note: No zebras. The story of Jack, Crystal, and Sandra, who find a mysterious book, and promptly fart around with forces man was not meant to comprehend for shits and giggles. The art's fantastic, the storyline...likes to seesaw around between parody and dark stuff...and pulls it off fairly well, in my opinion. Updates tend to be sporadic.

Kagerou - I'll be honest. I'm...vastly behind on this one. But I enjoyed reading it. Short synopsis...what happens when someone calls for a champion from the mortal world into a fantasy land...and get someone really fucked up in the head? This. And the fantasy world isn't anything like shits and giggles either. Boobies are shown, so not work safe.

The Adventures of Dr. McNinja - Not serious. Very awesome.

The Order of the Stick - DnD-based humor and stick figures...but, even without any knowledge of DnD, you'll still probably find it hilarious.
...I have more, but this is enough for now.

A Curious Stranger said:
I'm surprised no one's mentioned Order of the Stick.
My post has been edited to rectify this.

...I know way too many webcomics.

Dominic Deegan - one of the best webcomics I've ever read; an excellent balance of comedy, drama, and action.

Wasted Talent - a college student's view on life, university life, and what follows

The Cobra Days - a take on the life of the Cobras before the events MGS3; highly amusing and entertaining

The Ansem Retort - a high-crack content comic that parodies the Kingdom Hearts game series and reality shows.

MacHall - another college comic, overviewing the lives of a group of housemates

Three Panel Soul - the post-graduation continuation to MacHall

Errant Story - the life of a half-elf on her way to finishing the magic academy and the chaos that stems from her senior project to become a god; done by Poe, the same guy who did Exploitation Now! (a rather raunchy, blatant webcomic)

While pretty much all of the webcomics I read have already been mentioned, I've recently come across a very interesting one: The Phoenix Requiem. The setting for the story seems to be in a slightly mythical analogue to early Victorian England, what with the style of dress that the characters wear; and their mannerisms.

I mentioned that one. It's the second creation by Seraph Inn. The first being Inverloch, which was completed before this one.

I know some good webcomics.

Captain SNES is the (not-so-epic) continuation of the God-awful 90s TV show Captain N: The Game Master. In this, the brave Captain SNES travels through Videoland (with his 30-Megawatt plasma cannon) in his quest to defeat the Sovereign of Sorrow before she destroys Videoland for good. Everyone else hopes he doesn't do it first.

Bob and George: The Webcomic! wasn't supposed to be a sprite comic. It was supposed to be about a pair of super hero brothers who were arch enemies and...stuff. But the author can't draw, so he did Megaman sprite comics instead, which ended up being way more popular anyway. It's worth noting: Bob and George is the original sprite comic.

So wait.. we've mentioned Penny Arcade but not Player vs. Player? PvP is the other popular gaming comic, though Penny Arcade is admittedly the better product.

And I also ask: where's the weirdness? El Goonish Shive is one of the weirdest webcomics out there, and it's high quality to boot.

Zap always needs a mention. Need more sci-fi.

Antihero For Hire is a good look at what it could really mean to be a super hero. Shadehawk is a hero like Batman. He doesn't have powers. In fact, his real "ability" is... his really big gun.

So sue me, I like my fantasy webcomics.

Lesse... my webcomics folder, in order. Links will be provided to non-mentions so far.

Dominic Deegan (the most awesome thing since cake, also, very punny)

Schlock Mercenary (Only slightly less good than cake)

Girl Genius

Menage A 3

Keychain of Creation, my favourite Exalted webcomic (also, very punny)

xkcd (RAPTORS? You bred RAPTORS?)

Darken - The OTHER side of Adventuring.

Dark Legacy - The most zany WoW webcomic in ever.

A Hate Story - Requires one to read Agnar's Comic (the precedessor) first, but is excellent.

Vendetta - Defenestrate your mind. Also, THIS is what I call artstyle evolution (compare last to first pages)

Order of the Stick

Questionable Content

SGVY - Sparkling Generation Valkyrie Yuuki. Genderbending magic-girl obsessive now-Valkyrie? Check. Lecherous norse god in plushie body? Check. Fierce monsters from norse mythology? Check.

Gigaville (aka The Last Days Of Foxhound)

El Goonish Shive (READ THIS IT IS MADE OF WIN)

Gone With The Blastwave - Post apocalyptic man-hating humor, I love it.

GU Comics - Yes, gamer humor. I am so very fond of it.

Penny Arcade

The Noob - making fun of all MMOGs, in ever. Caveman <3.

Lowroad75 - Crazy adventures of crazy people, only it's fun.

GoA - The Gods of Ar-Kelaan. It's beautiful. It's about an apathetic human who became a god - along with the rest of his fellows from Earth. Meet Ronson, God of Booze. And Not-Caring.

Grim (aka The Adventures of Minimandy And Death Junior)

Teh Gladiators - WoW Humor. Don't read if you don't play WoW.

Nodwick - Henchman, meet webcomic. Webcomic, meet henchman. This one is extremely funny and I urgently recommend everyone to read it... if you have SOME appreciation for roleplaying metagaming humor.

Noobz - more WoW/MMOG humor

Looking For Group (aka Richard, DEM Deluxe)

And a few non-finished defunct ones, which I will not link (even though Comedity is awesome. And full of penguins.)

Hm, I don't read a whole bunch and most of my choices hae been covered (My two mains are El Goonish and Goblins)

The only knew name I can add would be Misfile which is an interesting 'dramady'. It focuses on Ash (A delinquent street racer, A sophmore I believe) and Emily (A put together A student senor pushed to succeed by her mother). Though the story starts up in Heaven where the angel on duty of looking after 'filing room of Creation' is smoking up out of bored. In an effort to hide his stash from the superiors he knocks several files loose and in a hurry to put them back in place fails. He gets busted it removed from active duty and Ash and Emily feel the effects... It's one of many Gender swap stories (Ash is turne dinto a girl due to the misflie. Emily loses two years of her life an is back into highschool even though she original graduated.) It's got a lot of solid humor some kick ass street racing teams and a solid bit of drama as the two struggle to adjusted to the world when no one else knows that they have changed at all. Hoping to just tough it out until The angel can get back up to heaven and straighten things out... to bad he's a total fuck up. (and though long winded I didn't reveal anything beyond the first chapter...)

And for a min recommendation I would say check out 'The Chosen Four' on starman.net, A comic retelling of the NES game Earthbound. Definitely recommended to those familiar with the game.

Not so much a webcomic, as a bunch of comics done by the same person. I think.

Tales of the Quester is a really well built fantasy world. And I do mean REALLY well built. Not a recomandation for furry haters, seeing as the protagonist is a Racoonan. Guess what that is.

Tallyho is awesome. Mix Garfield and Fox and the Hound, throw some other odd stuff, and that sums this up.

Camp Calomine is one I find funny as hell. Especially seeing as I actually did some counselor work at a summer camp a few years back. Not only is it funny, you gotta love the main guy. Smart, sarcastic, and actually has wilderness survival skills. As opposed to most of the other counselors, most of which are the 'dumb' tree hugger kind of people. I'm sure you know what I'm talking about. People who go to such extremes that they don't think logicaly anymore. The main's a decent enough guy, but if you go straight up to a badger and try to cuddle, he won't stop you.

I know lots of people here read Looking for Group, but I'd like to draw attention to LFG's bastard cousin, Dungeons and Denizens.

It's a D&D comic with a noticeable relationship with Goblins, except much more light-hearted, and focusing more on the requirements of running a D&D dungeon.

Current favorite scene:

Good stuff here, plenty to keep me occupied for awhile.

One of my personal favorites is Basic Instructions . The art is pretty average, and suffers heavily from copypasta, but the writing more than makes up for it.
