Alright just woke up a little while ago and had the strangest dream... (to give you a idea of how strange the Transformers theme was playing in the bakcground thorughout the dream and at one point had g1 Dinobots cameo taking on a Khorne demon >_< ) and while most of it was odd little things of giant robots vs WH40k monsters.... a general concept seemed to be in my dream was the various giant Zords from Power Rangers ending up on a imperial world for a smack down against giant summoned Warp Daemons....
Yeah yeah I know utterly ridicilous x-over PR and WH40K... What can I say? Sometimes i have really strange dreams. However when I woke the idea wouldn't leave my brain, telling me htere was some potential for Crack in there. *and now that I come to think of it a Transformers/WH40K x-over could be pretty cool to if done properly.. may have to explore that*
So I thought about it some more... and slowly a Crack version of the idea emerged in my demented mind...
Deep beneath the Emperor's throne, in a hidden chamber... unknown to even the Adeptus Custodes. Inside laying deactivated is one of the Last of the Iron men, various electronic devices and a large tube filled with some odd varient of warpspace.
Come some event (Earthquake, warpstorm, perhaps the NEcro encursion that nearly reached Mars?) the Tube seems to activate and a face appears inside....
A face that some might know recognize as bearing a similar resemblence to a certain corpse seated in a golden thron above the hidden chamber.
Yes staring the Emperor of Mankind as Zordon...
his first order ofr business of waking up in his secret command center... re activating the Iron Man ALpha-1, who after mellinia of deactivation has acquired a few odd personality quirks (Like crying out Ai-yi-yi all the time),but hey at least he's not corrutped by CHaos.
EoM: Alpha.... stop reading Imperial 4-chan and listen up I need you to search across the Imperium for 5 subjects with Attitude... beyond the 'Xeno and chaos grr smash/kill' my loyal subjects usually preach.. than teleport them here.
Not sure where the Emperor's new power rangers should come one (Should one eb a space Marine? Commisionar? Adeptus Astartus? a lowly Techpriest?)
thanks to the hidden chamber filled with many lost tech and experiemnts... it can do things other Imperial tech can't. Like teleport the rangers across the imperium, and the EMperor's Zords...
Of course first he has to get his Rangers from stop worshipping his Tube...
Main opponent I suppose owuld be a persistent Chaos Cult, lead by the recently reawakened Daemon Rita, who was imprisioned by the Emperor before the great crusade. (Or maybe she's his EX-girlfriend... who has recently figured out the Emperor has been psychically surfing the Warp and started looking for him... I kindof liked that aspect in the Crack Eva/PR fic I read once)...
although I suppose NEcron, ORK, or Tyranid foes could work occasionaly to ...
not sure where this bunny woul dlead... a Oneshot? A series of Crack chapters.. New Rangers having to be summoned as the old Rangers keep getting persecuted as Heretics due to lack of 'revernce' for the emperor? I dunno..
