Watched the first half (6 / 12 episodes) of The Demon Girl Next Door.
The basic premise is the protagonist, Yuko Yoshida, becomes a demon girl overnight, gaining goat horns and a succubus tail. This...doesn't really change much at all, except now she has to find a magical girl and fight her to take her blood to undo a family curse. The problem with that is Yuko's family is poor, so she's generally malnourished and has a weak body, so when she finds a magical girl in her grade, said magical girl is a lot taller and stronger than her. And nobody takes Yuko seriously as a result, especially when she struggles to even lift a makeshift weapon up.
It's very light-hearted for the most part. Comedy with heartwarming moments and slice-of-life, that sort of mishmash that's fairly common. Though I wouldn't be surprised if the last couple of episodes suddenly take a curveball and have some dark moments, as is the course for this kind of show. A lot of the comedy comes at Yuko's expense, either between her being a shorty, having no stamina whatsoever, blowing what little money she gets on tasty food (and obsessing over tasty food when trying to summon up emotions to use her magic), etc. One running gag is calling Yuko 'Shamiko', from when she tries to introduce herself under her demon alias 'Shadow Mistress Rumiko', but gets completely tongue-tied and fumbles her introduction, and the nickname is sticking. The show very much loves its 'cute girl making adorable distress noises' shots, which I'm honestly a fan of. The animation also loves to play up her tail emoting on its own, and there's a few neat moments where Yuko's classmates play with her tail while it's wandering around.
