Currently bingeing on Gotham. 3 episodes in, I still can't tell whether this show is demented genius or misguided haplessness.

I also can't tell if I should be talking about this show in this thread or in the comic-book section.

Recently I've been watching Big Giant Swords; What Could Possibly Go Wrong?; Backstrom and I've just watched the first episode of Black Sails.

BGS: Irish Mike is mental, and he's what makes the show great.
WCPGW: It's a bit like Mythbusters, only they're just having a laugh on camera.
Backstrom: Best summed up by its tagline: Brilliant Detective, Total Dick.
Black Sails: Not bad, but it's clearly not got the same budget as Game of Thrones. Some of the effects work was a bit weak.

I've watched Big Giant Swords. Guy's got a good grip on his imagination; there are some pretty awesome swords / weapons he's made.

The giant whale sword? Awesome.

The Zeus sword? Awesome. Made even more awesome when he hooked it up to the battery.

Spent the last week having a nostalgia viewing of WKRP in Cincinnati.

I'd forgotten how much I enjoyed this show when I was a kid, watching it in reruns. Of course, now I actually understand most of the jokes now that I didn't then... that probably helps.

I'm catching up on The Flash on the CW. It's one of the best comic book hero TV shows on TV right now.

Caught the first couple of episodes of the Lizzie Borden Chronicles on Lifetime. Much like the movie they did that spawned it, this miniseries exists solely because Christina Ricci is badass, hot, and compelling. Although I really feel like it should be named "Wednesday Addams all grown up and in the 19th century for some reason we refuse to explain." Too wordy of a title I guess.

But there is something about Ricci when she goes from demure to showing steel with just a look, or the way she smiles when she hears her sister scream after discovering the body of someone she murdered before going back to sleep peacefully in her bed. Yeah, that's Wednesday right there, as only Ricci do the role. They take everything just tongue in cheek enough to know they are not taking anything too seriously and you have to restrain yourself from snapping your fingers when you see "Lizzie" get ready to go off on someone.

Watching season 3 of Brew Dogs.

If you like beer, you should watch this show.

Even if you're not that keen on beer (maybe you don't have good real ale/craft beer in your area), you should watch the show because it's two mental Scotsmen going around the world and having fun with brewing beer.

... There are other kinds of Scotsmen? I did not know that... ;)

Not quite so true anymore with how off the rails the show's gone more than once.

Watching the Daredevil series, first two episodes.

Daaaamn the entire last 5 minutes of episode 2 is all one cut, very impressive camera work!

If anyone is looking for a new show to watch, season 2 of The Librarians should be starting sometome around December. I loved Season 1, despite it only being 10 episodes and the 3 straight to TV Movies that the show was based on were pretty cool too. I highly reccommend them all.

Forged in Fire - Like MasterChef, only with blades.

How can I not like such a thing?

Been watching Dark Matter on Netflix. Basic premise is six crew members wake up on a star ship with no memory of who they are, or their relationship with each other; now they have to work together to find out who sabotaged their memories and why, all while dodging the deadly pasts that none of them can recall.

Watched Season 2, episodes 1 & 2 of The Librarians on November 1st- which came after the Librarian movie marathon on the 30th and the Season 1 marathon on the 31st. All I can say is that The Librarians and The Drowned Book and The Librarians and The Broken Staff totally killed it. For you more literary minded, yes those episode titles are a reference to Shakespeare, though I'll not spoil how or why. Whereas Season 1 kind of orbited around Arthurian Legend, Season 2 looks to be delving more into classical literature. Definitely looking forward to the team facing off against James Moriarty.
Also, kudos for them in making The Monster look more like his "in book" description rather than his more common classical Hollywood look.
