Has anyone seen Planet Terror or The Invasion, both came out recently, trying to decide which one to watch tonight.

Went and saw The Forbidden Kingdom.

If you like moderately cheesy martial-arts movies, it's pretty good. They did drop at least one plot-twist I wasn't expecting at the end, though I probably just wasn't paying enough attention. The fight at the beginning of the movie, between the Monkey King and The Jade Warlord was very cool. Other than that it was fairly standard fare for a cheesy martial arts movie, excepting the coolness of having the two masters in one movie.

Watched Leatherheads last night.

Not the best movie ever, but not bad at all.

And as silly as those old uniforms look, they're way beter than the tights and platemail footballers wear nowadays.

The ending is a gyp though.

Recently saw two movies that were both pretty good. Stop-Loss was the first one. I felt like it really tackled the issue from all sides of the equation instead of just one, and that made it a lot better than I expected it to be.

Also saw Forgetting Sarah Marshall, which was just as gold as I expected it to be. I think it's the best one of the three, honestly (Knocked Up, Superbad, and this one).

Saw Leatherheads last week. It had it's moments, but wasn't as good as I'd expected.

Saw Forgetting Sarah Marshall last night. Funny as hell, I thought. Overlooking the

it's probably the best movie I've seen so far this year.

Planning to see Forbidden Kingdom later this week. I'm not expecting much, but since both Jackie Chan and Jet Li are in it, I feel obligated to give it a chance.

Saw street Kings recently... On a scale of 1 to 10. 10 being the "BEST MOVIE EVAR!!!111oneone one" and 1 being "Shit that you can not believe" It would be a 5.5 to a 6. Maybe a 7.

Just finished "Frank Herbert's Dune" The more recent one that was released as a "Mini-series"

More like a trilogy short movies.

Not bad, aside from the obviously fake background scenery and a few poorly done lines.

Alia isn't half as creepy as she should be, but it's hard to get a child to act well and truly like that freak is supposed to.

And there's the fact that they actualy show Fremen outside Sietch without a suit.

I just recently saw There Will Be Blood and Walk Hard The Dewy Cox Story

Walk Hard was pretty good not one of the best comedies ive seen but pretty funny and entertaining

There Will Be Blood was also pretty good but it was a little slow and hard to follow at times

I saw There Will be Blood,

I thought it started off really well, but it just... went on a bit too long, IMO.

Enjoyed the fact that the soundtrack was cut by Radiohead though.

and I thought that Paul Dano did a really good job of breaking out of his Little Miss Sunshine image.

I just had a marathon of just about every Godzilla movie out there cept Godzilla's revenge and Godzilla vs Biollante. Godzilla vs Hedorah has the single largest WTF moment in all the movie IMHO.

I won't get a chance to go see Iron Man until next Sun but I'm hoping for some good things.

Saw IronMan last night.

Fucking awesome.
Hopefully you stayed through the credits. There is a hint as to the possible sequel after them, and if they do it as well as this one then it will be truly awesome. :sisi:

For those of you who didn't know to stay or want to be spoiled, the gist of the scene is in white below.

SPOILER SPACE

Nick Fury(played by Samuel L. Jackson) shows up in Tony Stark's mansion and asks him if he knows anything about the Avengers Initiative.

Actually Favrou (the Director) wants to make it a trilogy of Ironman movies. Which most likely from the response will be green-lighted. He expressed his wishes of introducing or Stark's alcoholism and Rhodey taking over as Ironman. Then of course the third movie being with Rhodey becoming War Machine.

Watched Iron Man today, first good Summer film I've really enjoyed in awhile. Downey hit it perfectly as Stark, and can't wait to see how they keep going with this. It looks like doing these under the control of Marvel own studios might well work out in the end. Will be curious to see how Incredible Hulk does, and what all they decide to adapt next into a workable film.

Well there is a possiblity of an Avenger's Movie with Sam Jackson playing Fury if the scene at the end of the Ironman credits is anything to go by.

Also Downey has a cameo as Stark in the new Hulk movie.

I'd heard another rumor that there will also be a fury scene in Hulk, but that's not confirmed anywhere.

There are a few minor hints about the other movies as well, though none directly. In a couple scenes there are "recordings" of other marvel movies on various TV's

Yes, I heard about an Avengers movie, but with the response to Iron Man and that hint... I'd say it's definite.

All we have to do is gather the rest of the team, and I've heard that Captain America and Thor are going to be making their appearances on the silver screen soon. I think we're still one or two short, but I'm not sure.

And yah, Iron Man was very awesome. Testing the flight boots cracked me up.

Saw an excellent movie today. What was it? Here's a hint:

It was a BLAST watching, and I think everyone performed well in it. Packs all the goodness and cheesiness of 70s cartoons into a psychadelic bundle, and the racing is like a Japanese drifter and Captain Falcon made sweet, sweet love, and had a rocket powered baby.

With wheels.

Plus there's a monkey. A TRUNK monkey, at that!

Watched "City of Violence" which was a (subbed into english) Korean movie. The last parts of the movie was kind of insane. I only recommend it if you only want to see the two main characters to pretty much say "Oh hell no" in one scene while all bandaged up from their last fight and encounter yet another person they had to fight.

Some scenes I wish were extended, but pretty interesting nonetheless.

Also watched some Hong Kong movie called PTU or Police Tactical Unit...I think. I came in with nearly no knowledge of what was going on and it left me thinking who the hell was really the 'bad guy' in the end of that movie. Not really any action, but you really wouldn't care as you'll probably be interested in what the hell is going on and stuff.

I mean moments after the first minutes of the movie, you get a detective losing his gun and it all starts to go downhill from what seems to be a serious movie that has bursts of a little 'humor' here and there that make you mind throw into a loop every now and then.

Watched "Diving Bell and the Butterfly" last night.

Not terible, but not great.

Worth watching once, and then relegated to blurred recolections.
