Hmm. I'll try to name a few, since I have so many. :p

Well, you named one already. Hawker's "Ships in the Night". Not only is it based on my idea (yes, overloaded ego alert. Of course, deflating it, where's MY version huh?), but definately one of the finest Love Hina stories I have ever read (and even when I get around to writing my version of it, Hawker's story sets the bar so high in terms of quality, that mine will look dang amaturish in comparison!).

I also love the other story by him. "Loss and Redemption" and its sequel "Aftermath: Loss and Redemption 2". The popular, but still my favorite alternative pairing, Motoko/Keitaro.

WTF. Naruto/Kin?

Oh, I remember "White" now. Though, the fanfic isn't exactly excellent from a grammar POV. The premise is good, but I'm one of those guys who have a hard time enjoying something when grammar is poor.

...incidentally, that's one of the reasons why it can take months for me to post new chapters. I'm anal retentive towards my own fics... if I'm not satisfied with my writing style, I often scrap entire chapters and redo everything.

As for the FLCL fics, I actually think Naota/Ninamori is canon and Naota/Haruha isn't, since Haruha is... too selfish to honestly feel for Naota.

Mind you, I'm basing my opinion on the FLCL manga, where Ninamori is much closer to Naota than Haruha, but...

On a side note, Haruha seems to have an identical twin in the manga, who refers to herself simply as 'Major Raharu, Haruha Raharu's commanding officer'. She makes it very clear she's not Haruha, though - in the manga, Haruha took off chasing after Atomsk again, completely forgetting about Naota.

The whole 'Major Raharu' thing is most likely just a split personality she either invented to further mess with Naota or is just a side-effect of her own psychosis. My money's on the 'just to mess with Naota' idea. Also I'm basing my opinions on the anime, but I did love the manga as well though. In my mind the 'canon' pairings for Naota work out like this.

1. Haruka
2.Mamimi
3.Ninamori

Which is why I say Ninamori is an alteranate pairing. Also, why do you call Haruka 'Haruhara'? I realize she said this was her last name but not once in either the manga or ther anime was she referred to by it, so it's pretty strange that you call her that.

Actually, her name is stated pretty clearly to be 'Haruha Raharu' in the end of the second volume of the FLCL manga. Haruko is just a cover-up. Notice the names:

With my pairings I wasn't saying on how much the girl may or may not have liked him I was listing them in the order he would have probably chosen on who to be with if forced to and given the choice. Remember I see everything through the main character's perspective and thus his eyes become the ones through which I experience that particular world, so what the other girls do or do not feel is really up in the air with me. Naota, given the choice betwen the three, would obviously, from how he acts in the anime, choose Haruka first, because he is, or at least he believes himself to be, in love with her. Mamimi second, because he obviously likes her quite a bit as well, this is most shown in Ep.5. And then Ninamori as he has a sort of grudging love-hate friendship with her the entire series but he clearly shows that she would not be his first choice with the way he acts towards her in Ep.3. Aslo an alternate pairing is just one that is not often seen or used and you have to admit you don't see many Naota/Ninamori pairings out there, and if you do then just point me to them as I'd be glad to read them. And I know that they say her real name is Raharu in the series but she goes by Haruka for the entire series and the ONLY time you hear her last name is when she introduces herself in EP.1 and when Amaroe tells her real name in EP.6, so I just thought it was kind of strange for someone to call her by a name we only hear twice throughout the entire anime. Meh, but since when did I care anyway, call her what you will.

Ah, I see.

Well, let's just agree to disagree then. :lol: Everyone is entitled to his or her opinion. In my case, a large part of what makes a couple 'canon' is that both parties want each other, and in Haruha's case, I'm not sure she does want Naota. She's just too crazy to know for certain.

That said... I'll read up those fics. As long as they're good... :)

'Agree to disagree'...yes it seems like we always have to do that don't we? As for haruka's feelings...well, I doubt even she herself knows exactly what she feels towards anyone. And of course those are good, you think I would post anything less than quality fanfiction? In fact two of those come from my own personal favorites list, I only have ten fics on it, so you can see that I'm extremely picky about what goes on that list. So trust me, it's all good :lol: B) .

Why of course I know the value of modesty, modesty is the bread which I eat, the table at which I sit, and the god to whom I pray, I sir, mort certainly do know the value of modesty, and that value is...absolutely nothing. The only people in this world who are modest are those who are faking it to try and get more attention than the people who aren't.

Hmm. Morgan Le Fay/Keiichi story? Cool! Talk about rare pairings! Not only would alternate pairings be rare given the size of the fanfics out there, but this one...is probably the rarest of them all. [edit] I somehow didn't finish my thoughts when I first wrong this. <_<

Looking at the reviews, 109 reviews? Dang! And I thought 22 for my story was a lot considering that it was an AMG story. Hmm. Has to tell you something about this story! Granted, the story is two years old (and sadly, this author seemed to have stopped writing two years ago), still, if he can get 109 chapters at that time, it must be good!
