I should probably give the MM comic a read, considering how the Mega Man comic is probably the only new official Mega Man content being produced at all these days...
I can send you the link if you want. Since it is a site that hosts "licensed content" I am a little leery of posting the link as it was posted on Spacebattles.
Can't you just tell us what site name without making it a link ? I'm interested too.

Alright, X-termination seems to have been, lets clean up the loose ends, more than anything else. It's irritating to see stuff end that way but whatever.

Recently, I re-read the Dark Knight Strikes, the sequel to The Dark Knight Returns. My primary reaction? Wow, the art is horrible and the story reads like bad Batman Fanfiction.

DC and Marvel's continuing mistakes with their characters have driven me into the arms of Top Cow for the moment.

I snatched up The Darkness Compendium Vol 2 and the 'Accursed' run. Overall these were some pretty good stories that kept Jackie an anti-hero (Well all right if I'm honest he's a Villain Protagonist and a Noble Demon on a good day), who still managed to grow and learn. I'm not really happy with the Rebirth run of Jackie because it seems he's forgotten a few lessons, but considering he did just remake the universe so I'll call it arrogance. That said his actions are biting him (and the world at large) in the rear and it looks like he's finally going to deal with it all.

Witchblade rebirth is an Urban Fantasy Story which works for me. That and the fact he's generally dressed in warmer clothes than when she started make me happy (Well to be fair the Witchblade has just stopped ripping her clothes off at any excuse.

Madame Mirage and Hunter-Killer volume 2 were both great stories and proof that Rockfort was WASTED on Redhood and Superman.

Anyways, I'm currently reading through WildCat's Volume 3 and will have a review later.

There's an used bookstore like ten miles from where I live, and I've taken a few trips up there - they've got a pretty good selection of used tpbs.

I've really gotten into Mark Waid's Irredeemable. It's an interesting story with some great art.

I've also picked up the first 10 Deadpool trades (Secret Invasion - Evil Deadpool). Love 'em.

Also, finally, FINALLY, picked up where I left off with Fables. Then picked up the spinoffs. Again, very happy with Bill Willingham's work.

I haven't been reading comics for a while now (Close to 2 years). no comic shop near me. But recently one has opened up and I've found myself at a loss of what titles are good out there.

Can I get some recs?

Well, This thread has some good recommendations.

For some Marvel/DC stuff going on currently, I recommend X-Men Legacy, all the new stuff with Legion. And Mike Carey's X-Men: Supernovas, come to think of it, though that one's a bit older than 2 years.

Also, Journey into Mystery, the entire Kid Loki storyline, which starts from 622 I think. It's epic.

I have recently read the Guarding the Globe minis and the Invincible Universe ongoing from Image, and I have to say they're a good time. I also have to say that Best Tiger is AWESOME. He is not merely a good tiger, he is BEST tiger.

Just got caught up with Xmen Legacy and I am now a David Haller fan. Now that the fist fight between him and Cyclops is gonna start, I've got only one thing to say:

COME AT ME BRO.

Ayup. +1 Agreement here. I never thought I'd be a David Haller fan, but this book made me one.

Glanced through Avatar: The Search out of curiosity. I don't think I'm going to read another Avatar comic.

Reading through the Ultraverse... and having to DL the entire reading library, as it's pretty densely intertwined with each other.

Mantra, I love; not so much the reboot, though
based on some other, future synopses, Lukasz somehow comes to take over his successsor's body anyway, so a nice little F.U. to the direction Marvel was going with things.

Strangers, they were pretty good, though
Atom Bob's corruption into The Pilgrim is a storyline I would have love to seen resolved in regards to whether or not he accidentally created the latter and it took over his life and sanity, and would he ever return to just ol' Atom Bob
.

Freex, I was pretty miffed it was ended so suddenly, especially
when we just learned that Contrary is possibly Wetware Mary, the one responsible for injecting hundred of babies with stolen nanotech that made them Ultras, not to mention we're stuck getting a narrative from Michael's lost half of his mind as he remains unable to do anything about the sudden shift of reality that erased him from everyone's minds and replaced hm with a still-living guy named AJ.

Oh, well, going to read Exiles now, and hope my DL finishes before next year at this rate... :(

In the meanwhile, I need to find What If (V2) #51. What if the Punisher became Captain America? (#3 on the list).

I just read the entire new 52 Wonder Woman run and I gotta say it was pretty good. I'm not usually a WW fan but the whole mythic arc thing is pretty cool. Also, ARES WASN'T A DICK! What is this I don't even

Anyway, it was a fun time what with the various Olympians being referred to by their domains like Moon, Harvest, Sun, War, and so on. My main issue with it is I don't see how WW had the time to be off in the Justice League at any point, if she'd left for an extended period at any time a Bad End probably would have resulted.

Over on the Marvel end of things I read Avengers Endless Wartime, and generally? I thought it was pretty terribad. It was really unclear what continuity it was supposed to be in as the setting appeared to be 616 but the characters acted like their cinematic incarnations. I especially dislike the characterization of Cap as someone who felt ill at ease even with those who were his closest friends. Also, if it WAS set in 616 I'd like to know what the deal was with Slorenia as last I recall it wasn't exactly inhabited by people so much as it was a barren wasteland possessed by a bloodthirsty Arthurian vengeance spirit the size of the Empire State Building.

Read the 2 collected volumes (each) of Avengers Arena and All-New X-Men.

God DAMN, Scott is a giant dick lately, ain't he? Also, Arcade as a serious threat? Awesome.

Yes. More the former than the latter. Also it makes zero sense when you consider a line by Zuko when the group goes to the beach house.

Just finished Empowered Vol. 8 and the whole of Locke and Key.

I can't recommend these enough.
Doubly rec'd. Empowered starts off a little weak (imo), but really gets better around halfway through the first book. And it continues to improve from there.

Locke and Key is simply brilliant. Excellent writing and art combine into one awesome and downright scary series.

Lovecraft is Missing. Sadly it may not be finished because the creator has cancer. Why does this keep happening with books and comics I like?

So, I've been keeping up with Gold Digger recently and the quality issue to issue varies a LOT. Storyline and plotting wise I mean, the art's consistent. The one's where he's doing his own arc, his own characters and so on are so much better than when he's using re-purposed 80s expies. It's unfortunate says I that he uses so many of those.

Is anyone else here following DC's Masters of the Universe series? I picked up the first volume on a lark, but became quickly intrigued by the story and the art (which is fairly good, imo). I think it's a nice addition to the cartoon canon, with some great world building done in-story.

The bits dealing with the back stories of the characters, especially Randor and Keldar, was pretty damn entertaining and informative.

And I have to say, I like how they dealt with Audora, and showed a more dark interpretation of some events (Orko, anyone?).

I'm just curious about my fellow TFF'ers thoughts on the series.

I too am reading it, have been since the beginning. I even took a look at the DC vs Masters mini. I've been enjoying it myself. I like what they did with Orko myself, the total thing not just the initial revelations. I felt that Randor's fate was a sad one, and I'm really looking forward to seeing how this whole thing with Anwat Gar resolves.

Old thread revival.

I'm currently waiting to get Hawkeye vol 4 issue #22 (Marvel being remarkably slow shipping to outside the States). I have loved this series so, so very much. After vol 4, Hawkeye series 5 is kind of a disappointment. You just can't top Aja & Fraction.

Anyone else reading it?

I've been waiting for it to be delivered by Amazon for months, and only just got an email the other day informing me that the book would ship near the end of the month. I've been wondering what the hell's been going on; the release date kept getting pushed back.

Aja and Fraction did a wonderful job with the series, I gotta admit. Watching Clint slowly self-destruct his relationships was both sad and amusing. It's one of the better series he's had, really.
