And finished Hacknet after about 8 hours, with all Achievements. I'll probably buy the DLC too in the next day or so.

Because it's Stardew Valley.

I go back to it all the time, I'm on my 3rd or 4th playthrough.

I did a dedicated runthrough when the main game was completed and haven't done it since. I play for an evening once a month or so usually between other stuff as it's chill and easy to pick up even if I haven't played it in a while. It also induces "one more turn" syndrome, so I can't play it regularly or I'll end up staying up all hours of the night.

It's got a lot of replayability as you can mess with the different setups for the farmland, min max the ones you've done before, and pick a different partner each time, or just remain single.

I have Stardew Valley in my library. I should play it some day. But then I remember I still have Story of Seasons to play as well.

I played Lucy: The Eternity That She Wished For. It's a short VN, if you read decently fast it's maybe 5 hours?

Anyways, I was expecting something longer than that, which is the problem. It's the type of story that I absolutely fucking hate: one that tries to set-up and present an ethical, moral and/or philosophical problem, then completely ducks out of doing the hard work of trying to answer it by taking a zig-zag aways in a different direction.

Went back to Lego City Undercover to play out the story before giving The Stick of Truth another run-through.

This is a fun game, challenging in all the right ways, and lots of little nods and jokes for the fans. But dear god, is this a shitty port. The game lags at random times, freezes up for several seconds sometimes, or just flat out stops working and has to be shut down.

Not having played the original console version, I gotta ask: was it like this on consoles?

Don't get me wrong, I'm not sorry I bought it - I just wish I had waited until the price dropped a whole hell of a lot more before I bought it.

EDIT: Forgot to mention: the cars. Christ on a crutch, the vehicles in Lego Marvel Superheroes weren't nearly so hard to control.

Modded the hell out of Kerbal Space Program. Mostly with parts and cosmetics. As well as a few tweaks to the UI system. I also added in a neat autopilot system that automates some of the more annoying maneuvers. It has limited uses and you still need to do a lot manually.

I have around 200 mods in, and it takes about five minutes to load initially. Mostly due to the cosmetics. After that, it isn't bad, but does take a little longer going from one screen to another than it used to, particularly the build areas. Maybe 30 seconds instead of 10-15.

This is mostly due to the metric ton of parts I added in. The UI stuff is mostly for organizing all that. Plus it tweaks the progress tree so that modded stuff gets added in and splits it up a little differently so the game still progresses without having all the cool stuff front loaded so you can go to the edges of the universe right away.

It does things like landing a plane for you, which is stupidly frustrating otherwise because the controls were designed for rockets and not terrestrial vehicles. Also have a mouse aim piloting mod in, which also helps take some of the frustration out of some of the game.

You can also set up an auto pilot system for just about anything, but still need to plot in your course and manage resources, and a lot of maneuvers are still easier to just do manually.

You still need to design ships that work and manage everything, so it's not nerfed the game or anything. I also have reworked physics installed that makes things a little more realistic, and not an in favor of the player kind of way.

Still a stupidly fun game. I haven't even left the atmosphere yet. I built a plane and am working on getting the parts for a rover, as a lot of the missions I'm getting are to do stuff on the surface of the home planet due to mods that add missions and testing gear.

Finished the story mode in Lego City Undercover. That final level was brilliant; one of the better game endings I've had the pleasure of playing. Ending up with 30% completion with the finish; now to go back and get the 100% completion!

Seeing as i've killed the last boss, Monster Hunter World is basically in farm mode now. Decided to cool off from it a bit, seeing as i've some 60+ hours into it, and play some more GW2 as I work on my fic.

Man, my 2600k/290x just isn't cutting it with that game anymore. I wish there was a way to turn off all particle effects save for your own characters.

Skyrim Special Edition.

I haven't actually played the SE version of the game since it came out. Mostly because I wanted the Script extender to have been out for a bit so I could mod it properly first.

It's been out for a while, and there are enough mods for it to make it worth it. Not as fully featured as the one for the original, but more than enough to mod the game.

It's surprisingly stable. I've got about 150 mods in, have played several hours, and have not had a single crash while playing. Most of what I have in is extra stuff, a mod that finishes and puts back some of the cut content, some new dungeons, areas, and quests, Civil Unrest, environmental stuff like weather and lighting, an ENB, a ton of extra animations, nudity for both genders, Sky UI and item sorting, more armors and weapons, and a bunch of texture mods. I've pretty much retextured the entire game.

I also have Sofia, because that companion mod is awesome. Plus a mod that makes her look fit in with everyone else.

Also, Uncle Sheogorath's really helpful tips for the loading screens. I've used this mod for so long I've forgotten the regular loading screen tips.

I'm satisfied with how it's modded now, so I won't be adding anything else this playthrough.

A few odd bugs, but those are mostly related to the mods I'm using and not the game itself. For example, I had a mesh not show up so one of the bandit towers was missing a wall. Even then, most of it was there and I was able to get through. It also seems to be just that one tower. I've been through most of the map at this point and haven't found any other instances like that. I can live with that as it's a place I hardly ever visit more than once.

I'm not claiming Skyrim isn't buggy, just that I've not run into nearly as many as I was expecting, and the ones I have run into have all been minor. The Unofficial Patch probably has a lot to do with that.

Anyway, it looks great, and I'm enjoying this replay more than I thought I would. Especially considering how stable it is.

One odd thing, for some reason Skyrim SE doesn't like it when I add a Bashed Patch to my mods. It CTDs at the main menu when I create and enable one. Works fine without it though.

Might throw up some screenshots later in the appropriate thread. I haven't actually taken any as I've really only just started actually playing it today. The day before yesterday I did my modding and made a test game save and cheated hardcore with the Leveler's Tower Mod so I could run around the map and visit everywhere to make sure everything was working. This includes visiting various dungeons to make sure all the creatures, extra spawns, and interiors were loading properly and that I wasn't getting any chronic crashing due to certain types of areas and to check for missing textures and such.

I did need to do a little tweaking to get my LODs working properly, but that was easily cleared up by simply disabling and reenabling the LOD mods. I started a new game. I spent most of last night visiting every major city. I always walk the first time I go to any of them and don't take the horse carts so I can get map markers along the way to make getting around later on a bit easier. Now that that is done, I'll actually start doing quests and dungeons later tonight.

I've never modded regular Skyrim this much and had it this stable. It also has a much more consistent framerate. Hooray for x64!

Given the amount of extra content I've added on top of the base game, I'll probably be playing this for a while.

Downloaded and played the Tera beta for ps4. I see where htey are going, but it's quite rough all around.

Decided to see how the PC version compared, it's fairly decent, though I played all but an hour of it. Probabaly won't keep me away from GW2 though.

Civilization V.

I'm not getting VI until all the DLC is out and I can just buy it all at once. I've grown wiser with age, and Civ V is plenty to scratch the strategy diplomacy itch when I get it until I can get VI on sale with everything included.

I modded it of course. I've done it before, but this time I'm using the Communitas Mod pack. It patches a lot of bugs, and does a bunch of other stuff.

I knew about it, but never used it because it doesn't play nice with anything that adds new units, enhances cities, or otherwise messes with stuff in the menus. It triggers the production bug where it makes it so the production menu doesn't show up properly and you end up not being able to advance. I think it has to do with how it sorts units and improvements in the game, it tweaks it so they don't sort alphabetically.

It's basically the best Civ V mod. It ups the difficulty, makes the Barbarians spread like plague, fixes all sorts of minor issues with the interface and information the game gives you, and tweaks a lot of small things. If RTS combat is your thing, this is a good Civ V mod. I'm not even at war with another Civilization, and most of my turns are dealing with the barbarians. It still has all the diplomacy stuff and does things to improve that too, and you can go to war, but everything is a bigger threat, including the scrub mobs. It does things to the AI to make the other CPU players smarter, and I don't have the time to sit through an entire game of multiplayer.

Still playing Skyrim too, I'll burn out on Civ V in a couple of days and go back to that. I've already gotten a Science Victory, and am going for another type. I usually don't go conquer the world through force playing Civ, and might try it again at some point with this as it will make it a serious challenge.

It does work with IGE and the Advanced Startup mod. I'm not using IGE, but do like to tweak things in IGE to give the other Civilizations a fighting chance by upping their recourse pools at the start.

I was using an AI mod that fixed Gandhi so he didn't go nuts. I ended up missing Gandhi Hitler though and decided to remove it and put this in instead. Was totally worth it and this is probably going to be my new permanent Civ V mod. I can do without a bunch of reworked and added units given all the other stuff this does.

Dragon Quest VII via a 3ds emulator.

Gonna play DQ VIII next.

I've also ripped Ocarina of Time, Majora's Mask, and a few other titles including Metroid Return of Samus. I have several raw roms that still need to be decrypted as well. No hurry on that, and it doesn't take but a few minutes once I figured out the tools.

The 3DS emulator I'm using is Citra and 3DS emulation is still in the earliest stages. Basically, a lot of games don't work and what does isn't perfect. I don't recommend checking this as a method for playing 3DS games unless you're into emulators like me. It's not well optimized yet and you're better off sticking with a real 3DS for probably a while yet, maybe a year or two.

Learned how to rip the ROMs and decrypt them though, which was an interesting afternoon in itself. This is on top of having to decrypt the ROMS themselves.

It's also worth pointing out that it isn't as simple as just getting some ROMs and loading them into the emulator. You actually need some system files from a legit 3DS to get some games working that the emulators can't legally include.

I got myself a New 3DS, so I had one that I could use without worrying about bricking my only one, so I decided to look into emulators. I didn't get it for that reason, a couple of the buttons are getting kind of sketchy on my old one.

Also, I hate the way Nintendo sets up their controls in a lot of games, and the fact that they don't usually let you edit them. I really don't get why consoles do this, it's not that hard to add an editor for controls so you can set up the buttons and triggers how you want. Emulators let me do this. Nintendo is just the biggest offender of the bunch for creating awkward controls and not letting players do anything about it.

Despite some minor issues, it mostly runs good. I can use a gamepad for the basic controls, and the mouse for the touch screen stuff. Some games I wouldn't bother playing this way at all, but there's plenty that works really well with this control scheme.

I can also adjust how the screens are displayed, and thanks to Steam I can set up my controller to handle hotkeys for the emulator itself, as well as the basic game controls.

It looks amazing though, relatively speaking. The games look like crap without upscaling on a large screen, but the emulator does a nice job cleaning things up considering what an early state it's in.

It's also surprisingly stable for such an early state. Haven't had any crashes yet. Some stuff that wouldn't boot up, but once something runs it stays running so far. Though, DQ VII is the only thing I've spent a considerable amount of time playing and that's just an initial impression.

The last screen is just one of the configurations for dual screens. I can also do side by side, and have either of them as a very small screen in the corner. I can also swap between which is the larger screen, or as the other shots show, just make one of them full screen. Which is best depends on the game.

For something like DQ I'll probably play most, if not all of, the game as a single screen. I'll probably play several JRPGs this way in the near future.

You can also see in the text how grainy it is without upscaling. For some reason the text remains grainy. A lot of cutscenes and such are also like this, but the gameplay looks as good as the screens show for everything I've tried so far.

Also, they haven't figured out Pokemon yet. It's apparently being kind of a bitch to emulate. As well as the 3D Mario title. Some stuff runs really well, other stuff runs, but at a terrible framerate. The emulators themselves are not very well optimized yet, but when it's good, it's really good. There's a lot of potential here.

Also, being able to use the mouse for the touch screen is better in some cases, and not so good in others. It depends.

A PS4 controller is really nice for this. The touchpad makes for a nice replacement for the touch screen, and it has two analog sticks for N3DS games that support it, which the emulator also runs. If you've got it as an option and decide to try emulating 3DS games, I highly recommend using the DS4 controller for it.

Oh Tera, every time I get an outfit that makes my female toon not look like a complete slut, you give me an upgrade that takes me back. Well, at least my character isn't in 24/7 panty flash mode anymore.

The game itself isn't too bad so far, actually quite fun. It's not as easy to pick up as FF14 was though. That game had a very nice learning curve to it, but the time I reached dungeon play, I was well versed in the mechanics. Playing a mystic in Tera though, i'm still not sure just how group healing will go.

I got my hands on a copy of Ratchet and Clank (PS4). It's a barrel of fun! Been at it for some days now.

They really meant it when they said this is a game based on a movie based on the game. It's, from what I can tell a very different game that what I played on the PS2.

I've owned that for some time, but have not yet been able to play it. Really should though, I hear it's great.

Decided to Mod GTA V.

Particularly with the big update for Natural Vision Remastered.

Aaaand of course, there was an update for GTA V this month, which breaks Script Hook V until it gets updated to be compatible with the new update.

NaturalVision Remastered doesn't require it, but unfortunately I also want to use a couple of other mods that do. Notably VisualV, which NaturalVision Remastered recommends. So I'm stuck waiting for Script Hook V to update until I can play it again.

Fortunately, I'm not done with Skyrim or Dragon Quest and was just modding it ahead of time so I could play it once I finish with those games. So it's less frustrating than it might have been. Still a bit frustrating as I can't test it out to make sure everything works until I do. Should be fine as I didn't do much to it aside from RealVision and it's recommended companion mod, just a mod that makes explosions better and another that improves the Euphoria animations.

Anyway, playing Skyrim still.

I have several follower mods in, as well as Enhanced Followers so I can have more than one.

I DLed several fully voiced follower mods, and discovered that some of them talk to each other. They have unique dialogue conversations specifically for if you have other specific mod followers installed.

I have Ambriel, Vija, Inigo, Recorder, Sofia, and Song of the Green, which has a follower named Auri.

Ambriel and Recorder are voiced by the same person, and will chat with each other. Recorder and Viga interact, and Viga and Inigo will chat as well. Auri has a patch that lets her interact with Inigo and NPCs from Interesting NPCs, which I also have installed.

They all have quests as well. Ambriel's is literally Star Wars IV, V, IV, mostly V and VI. It's a loose adaption, and I don't think the characters are voiced by native English speakers, even though their accents aren't too bad. Seriously, the main villain speaks almost exclusively in Darth Vader lines, and the "Big Bad" uses a lot of the Emperor's lines. There's even an Obi Wan character. I'm not sure which of us is supposed to be Luke actually, they didn't seem to make up their minds. I suppose my character is mostly Han, but also gets some of Luke's story points. Ambriel is more Luke with her overall arc though.

I have to often restart plot points in her quest and tell my other companions to wait, or they'll be triggered into aggressive mode and attack invincible story NPCs during cutscenes for her quest. Kind of a pain, but not too bad. I've had to do that three times so far.

Vija has the heaviest accent of the bunch. I'll probably dump her off once I'm done with her quest stuff. She's kind of quiet and hard to hear at times, but there's nothing offensive about her. I probably won't install her again, the others are all more interesting, plus I need room for Serana. Five companions is about my limit of patience given how they get in the way at times. Six is too much of a crowd.

Recorder is fun, but kind of breaks lore a little. She makes pop culture references and speaks as someone from our world would. That's intentional as it's kind of hinted she's not from Nirn, much less Tamriel. She is amusing though.

Unfortunately, Sofia doesn't interact with other followers. That would have been cool, but she's still fun to have around despite it.

You can also get several of them drunk, which is fun for a bit. Sofia especially. I give her liquor fairly frequently.

Anyway, still have lots to do in Skyrim. I haven't even touched the DLC yet and still haven't bothered going after the horn either. I am the Archmage, but that's all I've really done.

Am at, what I believe to be the final boss of Ratchet and Clank. This is a really HARD fight. The bosses before this weren't so though. In fact, the boss right before this is Captian Quark. That was a really fun fight. He mostly uses the same kind of weapons we have and when he throws the Groovytron, we get a painful reminder of why all the enemies don't like it. :) There was a weird 'Mother Zurkon' fight before this. It was my first fight using the jet pack. Somehow, I had a feeling that I just whizzed by it.

But this last fight? Against Dr.Nefairous? It's really, really hard. And I think I'm playing on easy mode. ... I think. Need to check that. You fight in an arena with 4 platforms and a star in the middle. I *think* you die if you touch the star - it looks really hot and I haven't experimented going near. But you can fall off the ledges and die. There is a LOT of firepower being thrown around - which makes navigation confusing. The war-bots that appear after the Nefarious has lost some % of his health really don't make things any easier either. -_-

By and large, the game has an arcade-y feel to it. And is simply fun. :)

I decided to kind-of cheat and look up how to beat the last boss of Ratchet and Clank. Turns out, the mistake I made was not flying around enough. I think when I saw the bottomless pits of the arena, I tried to be stingy on the flying. But in the air (and knowing the kind of attacks the boss throws out), it was straight-forward enough to beat him.

Not sure if I'll bother with the side objectives. But boy-oh-boy, the game sure was FUN!! :)
