What monster family do you hate most?

For me, it's the Murlocs. I absolutely hate the buggers. They are often cluttered together and it's difficult to kill them one by one, they respawn much too fast, they run away if they are low on health. And probably their biggest flaw, the lack of decent drops.

I'd probably say Murlocs. Besides all the 'fun' quest that require killing them (coughcough), no matter what level, they are always a pain.

None of the other monsters reached the same annoyance as killing murlocs. Even when I had to kill like a 100 yeti (for a single stupid quest item to drop) it wasn't as bad.

Hyenas. Huge aggro range, everyfuckingwhere, take forever to lose aggro. Murlocs rate a close second.

Personally, the Naga are at a close first in my book. Every one of those friggin things has some sort of snare effect and that just pisses me off alot.

I'm gonna agree with vote for gnomes.

If they don't count, then any deep underwater mob. They're not particularly harder to kill, per se, however, you keep having to come up for air between kills, and you essentially have a time limit for kills. So things you might be able to kill on land with a bit of skill and luck become phyrric victories as you drown trying to make it up to surface after killing the beastie. If you can breathe underwater, then it's not a problem, but only a few classes have abilities for that.

After the specifically deep underwater mobs come murlocs of any kind. Admittedly, underwater murlocs hold a special hate from me.

Hmm...

The Quest family.

I.E. Every fucking quest monster that requires a huge amount of items that only drop once every sixteen kills.

Have to agree about the underwater monsters. You dive deep, kill one, and then you have to quickly resurface or you drown to death. This is especially annoying when you're in a sunken ship and when you have to find a hole to the top quickly without, hopefully, aggro a bunch of monsters/ghost/whatever along the way.

Though I still rank Murlocs ahead of them. Probably because, given that my main is a Warlock, she has the advantage of 'unending breath'. ^_^

Also have to agree about the quest monsters. You grind like 50-60 of them just to get ONE item. You can literally spend hours, clearing the area where they are, level up, and still not have it drop (while some lucky bastard could have gotten it on the first one or two kills).

However, even those quest, it isn't too much of a problem for me. Annoying and time consuming yes, but usually, they are easy kills.

Murlocs though, besides the annoying sound they make "RwlRwlRwlRwl", many times when you're trying to kill just one, you aggro one next to it. Very annoying when I'm playing my non-pet classes (Paladin, Warrior, Rogue, Priest), and then the bastard just has to run away aggroing more. :headbanger:

I know there are other monsters like that. But the Murlocs stand out more because they are one of the most common monsters you 'have' to kill for a given quest.

Dragonkin. This could just be a holdover from my first character, a fire mage, but it seemed like every damn dragon type beastie out there was fire resistant or immune. Red dragon? Immune to fire. Black dragon? Resistant to fire. And those two were the most common types. Green and black dragonkin are a rarity.

As for murlocs...I love to hate them. As annoying as they are while leveling, I could slaughter them wholesale for hours on end. You could be sauntering along, looking for a last few herbs before you head to the next zone...and you suddenly hear "Aaaaaughibbrgubugbugrguburgle"!!!

Yep. It's murloc killing time

My only gripe about them is that Blizz forgot to add these delightful little horrors to Outland. We have boars, of course. Naga are everywhere. Too many clans of ogres to count. But Murlocs? Where are all the Murlocs? Where, blizzard!? WHERE!?

But...but...you can't kill them! You just have to let them...go. That quest was such an incredible letdown. Here you have a cage full of some of the only murlocs in outland. They're cutest, cuddleyest, googly-eyed baby murlocs in all of WoW!

The little beasties are just so adorable, you could take one out of it's cage and snuggle it. You could hug it, and squeeze it, and find out that your fingers fit perfectly around its tiny little neck...

 I can understand the feeling of, love to hate. In other words, going "Damn it! I hate these things!" :evil3: "Time to kill them!"

In my case though, I find simply killing them annoying. Hence where the hate from them is coming from. So, while I do have joy after I killed them, during the process of killing them only brings annoyance from me. Especially if they run when low on heath, aggro, and I die before he does. :sweat2:

You all hate murlocs? HEATHENS! Murlocs are awesome... I abandon every quest to kill them... Unless it leads onto a quest to kill naga, my love for murlocs is nothing compared to my hatred of naga.

Everytime you kill a murloc, a gnome avoids death.

Nope. And everytime a gnome survives, another member of the alliance dies in their place.

What's funny is, I can't love or hate certain races in WoW. Why? I play both sides. :rip1: Though I do play Horde more if only because my most advance is one (which I hope to get to 70 before WotLK comes out. 62 now).

[edit]Well, okay. I'm not a huge fan of trolls even when I am Horde. Ugly no matter if they are friend of foe. :p

I hate Murlocs for the simple reason that it seems that every single skill that is supposed to reduce the speed of an enemy just makes the little garglers that much faster when they run away.
