What's your favorite/most shocking plot twist?

I'm curious what people consider some of the most shocking plot twists in anime/manga history.  For me, four come to mind:
Kamille's fate in Zeta Gundam.  In a series known for killing off almost its entire cast, to see the writers come up with something arguably worse for the main character was very shocking to me.
Aizen being revealed as the real villain way back in the day.  It's taken for granted now, but back when it happened there was literally no warning at all.
Kamina's death in Gurren Lagann, mainly because prior to that he'd been played up as the protagonist of the series.
and my biggest shocking twist:
Lelouch has led Cyborange-kun into a trap.  To Lelouch's shock and horror, even being immobilized doesn't stop the assassin from advancing for the kill.  Only to fall to a knee and declare his LOYALTY.  Definitely the biggest left turn in a series with more of them than the average NASCAR race.

Hmmm... In no particular order... (suffice to say, these can have spoilers)

Girls Bravo - the next door neighbor ending up with the pervert was quite the surprise twist

Magic Knight RayEarth, that the queen would turn out to be both the bad guy and that you could still feel sympathy for her situation.

History Strongest Disciple Kenichi, I wanted both his masters to have beat that idiotic notion of not fighting girls out of him as it without question his greatest weakness.

Kanazuki no Miko, certainly not the ending I would have desired

Love Hina Manga, sad it ended that way, after years of strife, ends up with the girl still chasing and beating him up even after marrying her

Maburaho, in the end, the most obvious girl for the kid grew the least and became a possessive shrew, and the two whom seemed the least for him grew the most and loved him the most had only barely managed to work themselves into his graces.

Mahoromatic, that ending sucked on so many levels it was not even remotely funny, nor was it remotely connected to the prior 90% of the series.

Princess Lover, I think needed another season to really sort out the romantic mess.

Type Moon, practically every ones of the series in Type moon is great... the endings all suck though.

Witchblade, felt sorry for the main female character.

I personally think that the UBW good ending was pretty great though.

and my biggest shocking twist:

You must be new to Anime. I called that after the first episode. It was pretty obvious given the setup. I was actually surprised he lived as long as he did. Kamina was never the protagonist and it was pretty obvious if you're familiar enough with common anime tropes. It was always clearly Simon from the start, and it was apparent that Kamina was going to have to be removed from the equation to facilitate that. He was clearly an Obi Wan if you were paying attention.

Martian Successor Nandesico does the surprise twist death far better than Gurren Lagann. There are a few good twists in that show, and you should check it out if you like that sort of thing in Anime.
It sets up Gai Daigoji as comic relief for the show, making viewers think he's relatively safe as a running gag, then immediately kills him off at the end of the first episode in a very anti climactic scene where he just gets shot while hanging around on the hangar as several traitors abandoning ship escape.

Does kind of suck how the main never gets over it. He knew the guy for like two days and it's treated as if his best childhood friend died.

I didn't dislike Gurren Lagann, but basically nothing that happened was ever a surprise. It kind of ran out of steam in the end because it was sticking so close to the usual tropes. It did crank those tropes to 11, which was kind of fun, but it really wasn't any deeper than that.
