World Only God Knows Idea thread

After failing to find a general idea thread for TWOGK, I decided to make one on my own (Please correct me if I'm wrong).

One idea I had was a TWOGK and My Bride is a Mermaid crossover. In the beginning, due to some shenanigans, Keima sees Sun Seto (with fin instead of legs) and mermaid law kicks in - if a mermaid is seen by a human, the mermaid (or human) must die. A change with canon Mermaid story, is that Keima's mother was part of a biker gang. Take that upto 11 (especially since some underworld thugs are attacking her precious son), things won't go easy for Sun's father - he can't exactly bully Keima or his family. What I'm having trouble figuring out, is how to get the two of them bonded (or at least, engaged).

Another idea I had was if Hakua was the one who contracted Keima instead of Elsie - would it work for a pairing story? In the latter manga sections, while Hakua becomes a bit ... disillusioned with Keima, its obvious (to me) that she still likes him. But I just don't see him reciprocating in any manner.

Idea Three - why not change Keima's obsession to something other than gal-games? A defining trait of his character is how obsessed he is with those things. I don't mean 'give him martial arts' or a similar physical trait, but something else ... lets say that he's obsessed with strategy games instead? Or MMOs? That would give his obsession a social angle to develop him in some manner - possible for shipping material?

Idea Four - well... not an idea, but a possible story angle - are we EVER told anything about Keima's father? Its really odd that he doesn't make an appearance, especially with his wife threatening divorce every few months. And before anyone suggests it - do NOT EVER mention the Futurama family-tree (or loop) idea. That's just sick.
Another important character is Elsea's older sister. She's supposed to be some big-shot in new Hell, but we hardly hear anything about her.

Idea 2: There's a story like that on FFN, one of the bigger ones (over 60k), I don't think it's updated in a while. It's under the Keima/Elsie character tags though.

Idea 4: Repasted from the discussion thread

You want to hear something really odd?

Keima's father is apparently named Keiichi, so Keiichi Katsuragi.

In Ah My Goddess!, which has three Goddess sisters living together with the main character (along with other goddesses and gods and demons and demonesses, but ignore that), the main character is named Keiichi, and his father is named Keima.

So Goddess sisters, and a father-and-son pair named Keima and Keiichi. All we need is for Keiichi K. to show up and be as badass as Keima M. is in AMG

also Keima Morisato has an extreme fear of women. It's only his own wife, daughter and Belldandy who he doesn't recoil from. Quite different from Keima Katsuragi :p

I was actually thinking of Keima being involved with Harem anime's where the girls have serious problems and he has to use his capture skills to help them. I think the thought that started it was Keima involved with Love Hina, then it went on to Keima in School Days, or Keima in Higurashi...

Didn't realize it even existed. From the description, can I assume its this one?

Weiss and Human by Honore - Form. MerlintoVivian
Summary: Keima - the Capturing God. Hakua - the rising star in the Runaway Spirit Recovery Squad. Put them together at the start, and you've practically got a new story! But as in all fanfiction, there is always a subtle twist...

Looks like it hasn't been updated in a year. Pity. Still, I might give it a shot.

Keima's father is apparently named Keiichi, so Keiichi Katsuragi.
From where did you gather this information? I'm pretty sure it hasn't been mentioned in the manga.

But an AMG! crossover. That sounds interesting - the only problem would be HOW to get Keima in a position where he's forced to do something. The guy is a talented recluse - gets good grades, doesn't really bother anyone and (ignoring his gaming obsession) is not some kind of troublemaker in class. Frankly, if I were his teacher, I would be really happy over the situation.

Give that guy a wish and he'll more likely wish to literally enter his game worlds or enter some kind of space-time capsule where he could be left alone to play his games without disturbances.

Or, he doesn't take the wish seriously and just blabbers whatever is the first thing that comes to his mind - problem is, I'm not sure how to develop the plot from there.

...

Though, there IS another silly angle. Instead of Keima, have his mother be the one to answer the call and get the wish. For added lulz, have Keima be the room when Belldandy appears and announces herself to his mother. Mrs. Katsuragi, of course gets shocked, or surprised. As for Keima? He still sits around playing his games and commenting about how 'lame the plot is'. Belldandy (or another Goddess - whoever you want) makes a comment of how surprising it is for a human to be so calm in the situation.

Anyway, Mrs. Katuragi gathers her wits around and looks at her son. Being the concerned mother (what will happen in the boy's future?) she makes a wish for his sake - the goddess should become his wife! And obviously live with them.

In school (or was it college? I forgot) Keima, or rather his wife, gets a LOT of attention. She doesn't really fit in well and gets into all kinds of scrapes. Out of obligation (or his mother forcing him), Keima, very reluctantly helps her out. It slowly results in them growing closer.

Thoughts?

The very day I debate putting up a story here for preview, my old one surfaces. It's either a god's way of a practical joke or the quantum particles of the universe screwing with me.

... so you wrote 'Weiss and Human' ?

Alright. Should be fun to review stuff done by a TFFer. :) You'll hear from me soon enough!

I haven't decided still if I'll continue that or even my other stories.

Reason being... well I fall back on the ancient adage: "It's complicated".

P.S.: You've got decent ideas, but Keima would say it's too easy to see the endings in each.

There's another recent Keima/Haqua romance fic but it's short and poorly-written. I may have to write it myself because I  that pairing. It would include lots of gratuitous fanservice scenes of Keima walking in on a naked Haqua.

Dunno. Seems to me like there should be a lot of crossover potential, though one would need to reconcile the whole existence of the Jupiter Sisters and Old Hell/New Hell with Heaven and Niflheim. I suppose it could be done that the former are proxies in some sort of war for influence between the latter two entities, or maybe just close parallel dimensions.

Also, Keiichi's name is mentioned by his father, Keima's grandfather, Denma Katsuragi, on this page. Took me a while since fan-made wikis are incredibly poorly cited.

Keiichi is also 01 in the Fandom Shorthands

Wish he would share those endings with me. I can't seem to figure out where to take the ideas. :(

Actually, I was thinking of just limiting the supernatural influences to just Heaven and Niflheim - the Jupiter Sisters or Old/New hell wouldn't make any appearances. Though, Keima's canon classmates might have something in the plot. Again, my muse isn't coorporating with me on these ideas... :(

But if New Hell doesn't appear how would we ever get Elsie and Haqua :(?

And all the better Jupiter Sisters (the trolling ones, that is)?

Not that I don't want them to appear, but I'm not sure how to 'merge' the two universes together. It just looks easier (and lazier?) to ignore the devils/goddess from TWOGK universe and merge the classmates together instead.

They could be a breakaway extremely minor third faction, maybe, of both devils and goddesses. I dunno.

This reminds me of my personal canon theory that the 'new devils' in TWOGK are actually fallen angels/goddesses. I find it weird that hell would come under new management without intervention.

Besides, they look too kawaii to have originally been devils anyway.

Just an idea I started, then lost interest in:

“H, Hey... What... Are you doing?” Katsuragi Keima questioned, unnerved by the pink haired girls invasion of his personal space.

“I don’t have anyone else I can rely on, except you Keima-Kun...” Kanon confessed,

“I’ve been strange recently!!” she almost cried into his shoulder.

“I... haven’t forgotten you Keima-Kun” She was scared, he realised.

“I remember everything...” And just like that, the silence that had surrounded the two of them since she had grabbed him was lifted.

“Ehhhhh! Kanon-Chan!”

“You know Otamega!? What’s your relation to him!?”

“C, Come with me.” Keima mumbled, pulling Kanon to her feet, and leading them out into the hall, ignoring the grumbling complaints of the other students.

“What’s wrong with you!? Why are you telling me that you’re...” He trailed off; a sudden understanding dawned on him.

“Wait, you remember!? You remember that we were seeing each other before?” You questioned carefully.

Kanon blushed at his rather blunt confession

“Yes...” She relented.

“About the rooftop and the stadium at the waterfront too?” he questioned; he knew that some of the other girls had vague memories of him so he had to make sure.

“I remember everything!” She shouted at him, desperately begging him to believe her.

“...E, Even that we kissed?” He chocked the question out; it wasn’t this hard asking anyone else!

“...Yes...” She replied, her face a deep shade of crimson, her head down.

‘She really does remember everything...’ He thought, silently stunned.

“Keima-Kun... So you do remember too” She stared slightly at him, he really remembered her?

“Keima-Kun!!” She cried, throwing herself at him again, relief surging through her.

“What!? What are they doing?”

“Who, Who!?”

“We’re in the middle of a test!”

“Eh, Kanon-Chan?”

Sound from the classrooms had finally began to leak out into the hall, as the more gossip loving students left their classrooms.

“I... I...” She mumbled into his chest.

“I... Love you Keima-Kun!” She yelled,

“I always... always wanted to tell you that!!” She punctuated by holding him tighter.

“Wha, What?” What was going on? This wasn’t like his games! His parameters with Kanon had been set back to zero!

“Ehhhhh!! A love confession!” The eavesdropping students yelled, but Keima barely heard them, his mind attempting to figure out what was happening, and failing miserably.

The hallway exploded in to mindless chatter before Keima’s mind rebooted, causing him to grab the blushing idol’s hand and pull her along the hall, out of everyone’s sight.

“What... What are you blurting out all of a sudden!?” He nearly yelled at her.

* * *

After reaching the stairwell, he turned to face the girl who had just confessed to him, mindful of the fact he was still holding her hand.

“Keima-Kun, please listen to me! I’m being targeted by someone!” She sounded scared, understandable given the circumstances, and the fact that she came to him of all people...

“Targeted by whom?” Although he had a pretty good idea, somebody had antagonised Hinoki to further evolve her Weiss.

She suddenly yanked her hand back, sending him tumbling to the floor.

“Humans shouldn’t get involved any further than this!” Kanon’s voice rang out, although it sounded different then it had a moment ago.

Climbing to his feet, he took note of the most obvious change.

“A halo!” He took a step back, he shouldn’t have been surprised, but strangely he was.

Aside from that, a few red marks had appeared on her face, unlike Diana.

“Ooh, I switched places with her! It seems a bit of my power has returned!” She was grinning, although it looked quite out of place on Kanon’s face.

“It’s all thanks to you!” She said, turning in his direction.

“However that’s enough. I won’t involve someone who has nothing to do with this!” Giving him a quick wink, she turned on her heel and bolted.

Frowning, he took off after her.

* * *

Now, Keima knew he wasn’t the fittest person around, but as of his conquest had begun, he’d be pushed to his physical limit many a time.

He knew it was impossible to keep up with Kanon, he wasn’t the most physically fit person after all, but he could keep her in his sights easily enough.

He had managed to chase her outside of the school, she probably wasn’t even aware that he has followed her, as she had slowed to stop.

A small grin reached across the capturing gods face at the opportunity before he noticed something out of the corner of his eye, frowning his pushed his tired muscles as hard as he could.

* * *

“Even if I say that...” She muttered aloud, “Was this really the right thing to do?” She frowned.

“I can’t even fly... Where can I find a good hiding place?” She muttered taking a glance over the building in front of her.

“Kanon!” She heard the boy, Keima’s, voice before she was roughly shoved to the ground.

“Hey what was that-!?” She was about to shout at him before she noticed his current predicament.

He was suspended in the air, some kind of cloth wrapped firmly around his neck.

“Guh!” He choked out, he had managed to stop whoever it was from getting Kanon, but he had been caught instead.

“Damn you. Damn you. Damn you!!!” Turning his head, he noticed the cloaked figure; a girl if the sound of her voice was any indication.

“Damn you to hell Katsuragi! Why are you always interfering!?” She was screaming her head off, apparently his latest act of ‘Interference’ being too much for her take.

“Die! Katsuragi!” She was in front of him before he even had a chance to blink, the feeling of something being rammed through his chest cutting off any remark he could have made.

“Keima-Kun!!!” He heard someone scream, right before the darkness took him.

* * *

Watching Keima getting stabbed was enough of a shock for Kanon to reassert herself and push Apollo into the back seat again.

“Keima-Kun!!!” She screamed cradling his head in her lap, tears trailing down her face at the sight of his unnaturally pale face.

“Keima-Kun, no!” She sobbed, she felt useless, and worse, she felt guilty.

It was her fault, if she had stayed quiet in class, then this wouldn’t have happened.

‘No. It’s my fault, if I had explained things too him...’ If it was possible, Apollo felt even more guilty than her host, if what the demon had said was true, then Keima was already intimately involved.

“Kami-niisama!!”

* * *

He was surrounded in darkness, his body weighed down by an invisible weight.

“Where, where am I? He questioned, his voice lacking the strength it usually held, as if the world of darkness surrounding it was draining of his strength, or rather, as if it was draining him of himself.

He could hear sounds, but they weren’t the sounds he was hoping to hear.

Deep feral growls, and the sounds of claw on stone, and even though the darkness had robbed him of his sight, he knew that whatever creature was making those noises, it was coming after him.

“-ma-Kun!” Was somebody shouting him?

“-eima-Kun!” The voice was getting louder, but the creature was also getting closer...

“Keima-Kun, look out!” He knew that voice, he dived in its direction, hearing a thud behind him, indicating whatever had tried to attack him had missed.

He felt something grab his hand, and the darkness that governed his sight faded.

He glanced up at his rescuer, and almost froze in shock.

Asuka Sora smiled at him, a light blush painted on her checks.

* * *

“He’s alive, surprisingly, since a curse of this level should have killed him almost instantly.” Haqua commented, her face twisted in worry.

All this talk about Keiichi and Mari who happens to be a bikergang woman conjures up the funny image of Belldandy being a biker girl. Which really isn't that big a stretch. :snigger:

That's one heck of an insert! Asuka Sora is that girl from the broken video game, right? Other than an AU direction, I'm not sure where this could go, but I think I enjoy reading it. :)

Yeah, I wrote that a few days after the chapter where Apollo got stabbed was released, but lost interest in it, and only just dug it up again this morning.

Maybe it's because you were copying material, and maybe it was because that was mostly dialogue, but your writing didn't do too well in that.

Okay, given the current happenings in the manga, let's say after Keima sorts things out, and returns to his own time, he goes into some sort of depression, abandons his games, and becomes "normal". The Goddess + Elsie, Haqua and Chihiro conspire together to bring The God of Conquest back into the world, by doing everything they, and whoever else gets roped into it, can to bring back the old Keima.

Before the collar on his neck decides he can't do his job anymore, and takes his head.

A smattering of ideas...

A couple of these are copy and paste from the general ideas topic, because I forgot this topic existed

1. After the events of the manga, when Kanon goes on tour again, she brings Elsie/Eri with her as a 'front vocalist', like how some shows have front bands. Elsie wouldn't actually be pretending to be Kanon this time around, but she can at least still belt out some vocals. And Kanon will be all the happy if Keima gets dragged along by Elsie for the ride ;)

2.

Keima plays Doki Doki Literature Club (plus). Which would be a given since it's nominally an otome game at first glance, and he'll play every otome game that's released onto the market...Then Elsie screws up a spell that makes the game metafiction real.

If Elsie was to accidentally make an otome game real, that'd probably be the most interesting one off the top of my head. That, or Yokkyun, but in this case I'm looking at real world games.
Probably Keima would meet a Monika in full meta mode, and he'd go off on her for deleting the other three girls. Then Elsie of course screws things up even further and when she retrieves Keima, makes Monika real as well.

3.

Some of the girls with DFC (delicious flat chest) have low self-esteem go to Keima over this for advice, expecting him to have one of his moments, but still give them a confidence booster. Keima does in fact go off on a tangent deconstructing it in terms of galge games but, in the end, gives good advice

4. A more lewd idea...The reason Elsie retcons the universe and becomes Keima's blood-related little sister in the ending is because she thought he was into the imouto heroines from all his dating games. Heck, he actually does purchase an otome called 'Little Sister's Crusade' in chapter 2!

Could be a good, alternate ending for the series.
