WoW problem

After 4 years I've decided to start playing again.

I created a battle.net account, but when I tried to link my old WoW account to it I got a message that said that the WoW account has already been added to another battle.net account.

Now, I'm pretty sure I've never created another battle.net account before.

More problems. I've installed WoW and started it. Big surprise as the client automatically downloaded 25 Gb of data after I started the game.

Afterwards I tried to install The Burning Crusade (French version), but I got a message the the version is not compatible with the installed version of WoW (which is the French one too).

Then I tried to install Wrath of the Lich King but got an installation error n° 2.

Another problem is that when I tried to enter the keys for the three games I get the message that they keys have already been used. Well, of course. I installed the games back in 2007. Does that mean that each time I get a new computer I also have to get new gamekeys?

Have you tried just logging in? The entire point of a battlenet account is that it holds your previous purchases.

If it's downloaded and ready to go, and you have, at *some point* bought vanilla, BC, WotlK, Cata, and Panda and associated it with a wow account, then you can just log into that wow account.

EDIT: Assuming you have game time.

The problem is that I can't log into my old WoW account as I said in my first post. And I'm afraid the current problem with the keys is related to that.

I stopped WoW a long time before Cataclysm came out, but I've ordered Cataclysm and Pandaria and shouls receive them next week.

You don't log into your wow account. You associate your old wow account with a battle.net account- and then you log into the battlenet account.

I tried that and got the message that the WoW account is already associated to another battle.net-account. And I'm pretty sure I haven't created a battle.net-account ever before.

So basically, you haven't actually opened a ticket yet.

Go open a ticket.

Did you play the Diablo series or another game you might have used Battlenet for?

No. The only other Blizzard game I've played is Diablo 2 and that was long before WoW.

It's working now. I got my old account back. Too bad my hunter lost all his cool pets I had so much trouble to catch back in the day.

And the skill teees of all my characters have been reset.
