Sadly, at this moment in time, most of my ideas involve Jack building Megas XLR somehow.

Also, Jack abusing the Golden Tiger Claws to steal Wu.

Slightly different idea, Jack is related to Coop and somehow recruits him, Coop sometimes seem on the fence morals-wise anyway.

And notice Kiva does look a bit like Wuya...

I pretty much transplanted these from the recommended fanfic thread. It's a good place to get the creative juices flowing with them.

Another way it could've gone. Featuring the Original Dragons, Wuya's fall from grace, and the most bizarre explanation you're ever likely to find for why Omi grew up in the Xiaolin Temple.

I always liked this one and it deserved to be mentioned.
That... That's actually really good, and the idea it's self really deserves more then just a oneshot.
Agreed. I wish I could run with it myself, but I don't think I could really do the idea justice. Although it does make me think of when Wuya conquered the world and Omi went back to learn how to defeat her from Dashi. (And how the kid who could meditate for 1500 years in a block of ice to wait for his chance to defeat Wuya is not a better choice for leader than the idiot that joined her because he was a prissy jealous ass I will never understand.) Anyway, it made me wonder if Dashi would be aware that Omi was his and Wuya's son? If he was, could he bring himself to tell Omi?

So many questions. So many story opportunities. I mean we all know that for all he wants to corrupt him that Chase has a soft spot for Omi and respects him. Could HE figure out the kid's heritage and tell him?

What would Wuya do now that she knows about Omi? Would she tell him? Try to build a relationship with him? Could Omi pull a Luke with Vader and actually redeem her someday?

Argh. The plot bunnies are all fighting in my brain.

It could make sense. He was, once upon a time, was a friend of Dashi, if Chase knew who Omi really was, it might be that old part of him trying to take care of his friends kid.

And Wuya's reaction would be really difficult to predict, because she's never seemed to be the caring or sentimental type, but at the same time that could also be a reaction to the loss of her son twisted further by her fall.

Um, no on the Jack being his brother. Considering here Wuya had him 1500 years ago and was still sealed as in canon he's not exactly brother material. A many times great-nephew perhaps if Wuya had another kid as a Heylin, but not a brother. Still the whole concept does get me thinking.

Wuya scowled as she retreated from the battlefield deprived once more of her Shen Gong Wu. Although the reason for her scowl had more to do with the look on the young Water Dragon's face than it did with her actual defeat. In all fairness, she knew better than to team up with the likes of Hannibal Bean and expect success. The worthless excuse for a demon hadn't had a true success since corrupting Chase Young. But still, he had a plan that would put her near the Dragon Warriors, and in doing so, put her close to her son, Omi.

Omi, such an insignificant name for someone so important. If only she could get close enough to talk to him. To let him know of their connection. To let him know that she still... no.

No, she would not think like that. Those bridges were burned away long ago. Burned by her own actions as she searched for him. As she joined the very Heylin sect that had stole her precious wonder away from her in an attempt to find him. The fact that Dashi, Omi's father, could allow himself to lock her away in a puzzle for a millennium and a half was proof enough that she could never go back.

And yet still, the look in Omi's eyes seemed to cut through the years of resentment and self-recrimination like a dagger of ice in her heart. He wasn't even looking at her, dammit! He was looking forlornly as that miserable excuse for a Fire Dragon Kimiko flirted with Raimundo. You would think that her one-time ally would have better taste, never mind her own son! But no, both desired the video game obsessed little tart. Pity that she only had eyes for Raimundo. Omi was obviously the superior specimen. Look how much he took after Dashi.

Wuya growled as she shook that thought from her head. She hated Dashi. Hated him with a passion that had even eclipsed the love of their youth. It all started with that bald-headed arrogant ass. He made her fall in love with him. He got her pregnant. He wasn't there to protect their child as Omi was stolen away. He failed to join her in the search for their child because of his duties. He forgot about her. He locked her away. He STOPPED LOVING HER

Wuya didn't even take notice of the copse of trees around her that were reduced to flaming cinders from the emerald flames dancing in her hands.

This was pointless. Who cared what those pale shadows of REAL Dragon Warriors did? The only one of them worth anything was Omi. Maybe she could draw him away from those fools before they made things any worse for him? Perhaps setting him up on a date with that nice Katnappe girl? Or if he prefers someone "good" then Jack's cousin Megan was growing into an attractive little thing. Decisions, decisions. Oh well, save that for another time.

For now, she had to return to her current hideout to recover from the battle. The last thing she wanted was to be caught out too long and have to deal with Chase. She was only now regaining the majority of her power and the last thing she needed was her former comrade in arms getting in her way. With that in mind Wuya took to the air, hoping the flight would purge her of some of the ghosts of the past that always haunted her.

And in the distance a stoic former Dragon Warrior nodded to himself as he watch the Heylin Witch take flight. He could sense the conflict brewing within Wuya. He could feel her fighting it, but it seemed that perhaps Dashi had been right. Maybe, given time, she could be saved. At this point no one could say for certain. But in whatever passed for Chase Young's lost soul, he hoped for her sake and that of his potential apprentice that it was possible. It was time for this conflict to come full circle and be brought to a close, one way or another.

See, that's the kind of thing I would like to see in a bigger story. Maybe Wuya starts teaming with Katnappe more often and pointing her at Omi, the dragons get curious as why she beats up on the other three (more so Kimiko and Raimundo) more than she fights Omi, while Chase occasionally appears to reveal bits of info behind Wuya's actions, maybe a couple looks into the future (Maybe evil Omi ruling the world with his mother, or maybe something good).

Seconded. Ah, the 90's-mid 2000's, when cartoons were actually good. I'm glad to see this show is getting more recognition. I was browsing FFN, and I found almost nothing there. BTW I didn't know the episodes were on YOutube, so thanks. Now I can watch them again! Haven't seen them since they were first aired (not including reruns).

One snippet isn't doing it justice. It's just trying to get creative juices flowing again to see what I can do here and in my other fic ideas.

Here's an addition to the idea, that big battle in the end of the last episode didn't happen, just Raimundo becoming leader. Omi is a nice guy, but he still feels slighted by not being leader (I suppose, going with Dhampyrs snippet, Kimiko starts dating Raimundo as well) after everything he'd done (Yes, he messed up a couple times, but with good intentions, where Rai near ended the world on purpose twice because of pride then jealousy). He drifts from the others a little and spends more time alone, accidentally meeting Wuya...

Where to go from there...

The pervert in me says that Wuya decideds to corrupt him into a new better and evil Dashi for her to love. The nonpervert in me was killed long ago to for getting in the way of good times.

We are talking about Wuya being Omi's mom, you know. I said like it would make any difference <_<

Just checking. I think the biggest trouble would come in the actual corrupting Of Omi. Even if he comes to believe Wuya is his mom, he would also have Dashi as his dad, so the 'it's in your blood' thing may not work too well for him (although that could be an excuse for the other three dragons distancing themselves from him. Dojo and Master Fung would probably not care as they've known him since he was young). He was also raised to be good by the monks of the temple, and that wouldn't change easily.

I'm not saying it's impossible, just kinda difficult unless a Wu is involved, but as seen in the show, when turned bad by the yoyo, he's more energetically fight-loving and annoying than he is evil, he would have to be lured naturally to evil, otherwise he's a mean little Goku.

...And, fine, I'll admit Evil Omi/Wuya incest is kinda cool...

Dojo is an interesting case here. It's not really touched upon much beyond his friendship with Dashi; but he was there with the original Dragon Warriors, including Wuya. He and Guan are both sources Omi could go to in an attempt to confirm his parentage. It's kind of the Obi-Wan/Yoda telling Luke about Vader dilemma. How do you tell the kid destined to fight her that Wuya is actually his mother? At this point the only one that might see this as a good thing would be Chase.

But the thing about Dojo, he might not remember. He had trouble remembering things that far back, the the positioning of some Wu.

Where you hid some magical trinkets that were supposed to be powerless as long as Wuya was locked away (IIRC) is a far cry from remembering the girl who was your best friend's girl, got knocked up, had her son kidnapped, went nuts, and nearly conquered the world. The way this is set, losing her child made Wuya what she was. Not even Dojo could forget that. He might not want to believe the child could really be Omi, but I doubt he forgot about the reason for Wuya's fall.

Master Fung looked on with a look of serenity as Raimundo and Kimiko teased each other as they, along with Omi and Clay, went through the daily chores for the Temple. It was clear there there was a mutual attraction between the pair, although it was still clothed in the innocence of youth. In fact, they had not even shared a deep kiss at this point in the relationship.

For his part, Dojo was far more concerned with the sight than Master Fung was. "That's trouble waiting to happen," the dragon muttered to himself from his perch on the monk's shoulder.

"They are just children. It is natural for such things to take place given their youth. After all, they were not raised here as Omi was," Master Fung argued.

"Maybe so, but I remember just why the Dragon's aren't supposed to get involved with each other. And I can say from personal experience that it's a good idea. Not that Dashi agreed with me. Even after..." Dojo trailed off with a sad look.

"He was the last one that thought she could be saved right until the end," Master Fung agreed.

"Yeah. Dashi always did lead with his heart. He's a lot like Omi in that. If only the Heylin hadn't got hold of her, we might have got through to her," Dojo reminisced.

"It was a wise man that said the path to Hell is paved with good intentions. Wuya joined her enemies to try to regain what was taken from her. In the process she herself became what she hated," Master Fung commented.

"When do you think they'll be ready to hear the rest of it? They know what happened to Chase, but not even Guan likes to remember what happened to Wuya," Dojo responded.

"It is harder to accept Wuya's corruptions because she embraced it of her own free will. What happened to Chase Young was something done to him by Hannibal Roy Bean," Master Fung argued.

"And it's easier to say that when you don't see a girl no older than Kimiko with a smile that seemed to light up a room for Dashi when you see her," Dojo retorted with a shake of his head before flying off to be alone.

It was hard enough sometimes to see Omi bustling around the temple given how much he looked like Dashi. Thinking of Wuya just made the dragon's heart ache even more for absent friends. The resident Shen Gong Wu detector paused and looked back at the courtyard of the Temple, and for a moment he saw a redhead with a saucy grin and sarcastic look in her eye instead of the black-haired girl with a kind look and a video game constantly in hand.

Absent friends indeed.

I wonder how they would tell Omi, it's probably a difficult thing to tell a kid his mom is a powerful force of evil that was so bad it had to be sealed.

Or, what would happen if he found out himself? Like he started to wonder about his parentage and used the Crystal Glasses and the Reversing Mirror to see into his own past.

I don't think they would tell him. I tried to leave it ambiguous there to imply that Dojo and Fung don't actually know Omi's pedigree. That was more just Dojo remembering Dashi and Wuya as they were because Omi reminds him so much of Dashi. Even with the discovery of the Sands of Time Dojo still might not put the pieces together. Guan might suspect and Chase knows for certain but Fung is in the dark and Dojo just never put it all together. Yet.

I know, but I keep thinking some Wu work on intent, like if they tried, the mirror would make the Two-Ton Tunic as brittle as glass, reversing it's strength instead of it's weight. The crystal glasses show you the future, and the mirror is supposed to reverse effects, so the reverse of the future is the past.

...Didn't they try that in an episode already? I think it was when Omi got the glasses and used them, but someone else (I forget who exactly) used the Reversing Mirror to show Omi a false future in which he became an evil ruler.
