You fail!

Yeah. While I see why the "You Fail" post are now banned, sometimes you just want to say something to the guy that, can be considered not so nice. Granted, I rarely post in fics that are obvious failure since I usually go "Hmm. Crappy fic? Bah, ignore!" But if said author keeps posting more and more of these crappy fics, it makes ignoring it a little bit hard.

With that all said, I do try and give something useful to the poster. And this after all, isn't FFN. Hopefully whoever post here, has something that they actually want to improve on and not simply left to be crapified. I mean, look at my early work. Quite a number of you might have been using those "You Fail" post on me. <_<

Or perhaps, when you first see a crap thread and would be tempted to spam "you fail" at that instance, instead close the window and come back again at a later time when you are more calmed down and in a better state of mind to make for meaningful contributions? :unsure:

Or simply fail the idea instead of the person. Attacking ideas is fine, though I would prefer it if it went along the lines of "This idea fails because..." rather then simply "This idea fails!".

But PM's are fine too and still clues the originator into that he/she has come up with the biggest pile of wilderbeastshit this side of the Sahara. But with the I-gotta-get-on-the-bandwagon-mentality of the net, a you fail post usually leads to a bunch of other you fails posts from other posters. One such post is one thing, ten or fifteen of them is quite another for the insecure newbie writer ( who's usually the ones that comes up with the really crappy stuff... ).

Though I must say that I have yet to come across an idea so incredibly crappy, that I haven't been able to critique it. If it's such an amazing piece of rubbish, finding stuff to point out as major wrongs that would have to be improved upon before it's a viable idea, shouldn't be all that hard.

The other, a comedy series about a gender changing guy, a series who's audience is aimed at teenagers." So, even then it isn't 'too' impossible. Still sucks, but isn't impossible. <_<

I would have twitched at the Strawberry Shortcake/La Blue Girl fusion idea, but then I remembered a certain pic that almost got the guys from Penny Arcade sued... If you know what I'm talking about, you know why it desensitizes me.

Anyway, it's less disturbing than American McGee's Alice, so I wouldn't be so disgusted. I probably wouldn't read such a fic, though, as it doesn't seem like an idea that could go anywhere without being very very forced (no pun intended).

Of course, take away the Disney version of Alice in Wonderlands, makes you wonder a few things. First, it is a story with magical mushrooms. One that make you big, and one that makes you feel small. Hmm. Not to mention, a rabbit going down a hole and following it, a rabbit who also has a pocket watch? Not to mention the queen of cards, wating to slice Alice's head off.

The original books Disney took Alice in Wonderland from, written by Lewis Carroll, were actually a political satire in the form of a children's book (written for his ten-year-old niece, IIRC).

Sorry for the necro, Hawk, but was curious if people doing nothing but posting images with things like 'haters gonna hate' that really do nothing but annoy people would count under the 'you fail!' rule or not.

Of course, I'm not talking about any picture threads for a certain anime/manga/whatever, I'm talking about someone going into a discussion and simply posting a 'haters gonna hate,' 'cool story bro,' or any other 4chan reaction images that are intended to rile someone up instead of contributing to the discussion.

Because while you've ruled some macros and moar posts have been allowed, it seems the sort of images I refer to don't seem to have any sort of good natured intent behind them and only seem to try to stir up trouble and seem to be trying to violate rules 1 and 4.

So any clarification on if that would fall under the 'You fail!' rule would be greatly appreciated. Because one user is REALLY starting to be obnoxious with posting large images instead of responses.
