I've been offered a new job.

I thought I'd missed out on the opportunity because the job I had been working with the agency was going well (I was quite wrong) and sent an email on Saturday not thinking much would come of it. I was quite wrong again, but this time it was the good kind of wrong. I got call on Monday for an interview on Tuesday. I knew that there would be one thing that ruined my chances (colour vision) but I got a call on Wednesday to come in for a second interview on Thursday. where they liked the results of my tests and interview and finally made the offer on Friday.

It's been quite the week.

Well, new job seemed to go OK for a day of induction and introduction to the company. I'm beginning to be more and more reassured that I made the right choice with this one.

Man, strange to think Mother of Learning has been going on since 2011 and it still gets updates. Still looks to have another year or two in it as well. It isn't crazy to think it might hit the 10 year mark, which for a web fiction is pretty insane.

My dad had to get an MRI to check for cancer; it came back clean, thankfully. When I asked him about it, he said the doctor told him his brain was working fine. I asked him (jokingly) how the doc came to that conclusion. His response?

"A group of doctors got together and flipped a coin!"

At the bottom left of the page is an option to switch themes. The list is being tweaked/customized right now - hmm... perhaps I should do an announcement when it's over?

I'm going to hold on redoing my links until I see exactly what the forum reorganization is going to do... I made the mistake of jumping on doing that when the Move 2 came about, then some of the Negima and Love Hina links all changed again right after I redid them because the sections were merged.

I'm not going through that again, esp since the great mashup, if it occurs, could depending how done affect all the links...

After enough weeks, my body has adjusted to the crazy heat waves going on. But the last few days I've still been too warm, because the air is just so freakin' stale that I can have all the windows open in my place and the air refuses to MOVE. Today is the same temperature as yesterday, but now that there's an actual draft I can get cooler air in and all the heat inside my place will actually move.

That sucks. We had some rather nasty storms Saturday night here in Michigan. 3 EF1 and 1 EF0 Category tornadoes were spotted and then Mother Nature decided to come back for round 2 last night.
