@PCHeintz72 ,

That is an amazing setup! Thank you for sharing it. I have no idea if I'll follow or not, but its good to know folks do these kind of things at home. I'm fairly confident in my technical expertise to manage the *software* upkeep of the whole thing - am just not too sure about the hardware parts (i.e. would it be worth the expense of doing it?).

Still, awesome setup! :)

Normally, it's pronounced Pii. So, don't forget your watersports.

You're in Greece, so your Pi Day is on 22nd July anyways!
Yeah, it goes day/month/year here, and there's no 14th (or 13th) month.

You should steal a day from May and give it to April!

It is the Ides of March my friends. Make sure to wear extra-durable clothing today so your enemies can't stab you in the back!

Hmmm... I had my income taxes done today. Went decent.

It is also the Ides of March. So is anyone else celebrating the 2065th anniversary of te death and assasination of Julius Caesar?

I was watching TV and saw an advertisement from my government. The gist of it was "stay at home and be safe". They way they showed the ad ( think the broadcast was <10 seconds long), we see a family sitting at a dining table, eating and enjoying life. Then, the next scene is of another person - who (in my eyes) was not even a family member being carted around sick, and potentially dying.

Like ... what is the point of showing me that? Am I supposed to believe that if a family has a party, a totally random stranger is going to die? That's ... hard for me to accept.

For those interested, there is a bigger version of the advertisement (or public message?) on youtube,

It's Saint Patrick's Day. Is this why the apartment across the hall is blasting "Mister Brightside" on repeat? At 1 A.M.?! :(

I don't get why people think the Irish are the hardcore drinkers. Wow, a special day for drinking

The Germans have festivals lasting over two weeks for drinking

I've met people from Poland and the Czech Republic. If they don't have such days/weeks, it's because every day is for drinking. :D

No lie though, I would like to go to the Munich Oktoberfest one day. Just need a missus to go with first, I guess...

I feel like being a passive-aggressive little shit at work nnd highlighting the part on the label for the sanitising wipe containers that says 'keep cap closed between uses to prevent moisture loss', because some people like to keep the cap propped open and it dries out a lot of the wraps. I don't get it.

It gets rid of the smell, you see.

Yes, that's really a sincere answer. I remember in my freshman year, one of my college dormmates used that answer for why he perpetually left the cap off a bottle of rubbing alcohol in the shared bathroom. Which confused me because I was always under the impression that if the smell is completely gone, that probably means most, if not all, of the alcohol is too.

Beware of Dog. Cat not trustworthy either.
I actually like their glazed donuts...
I did too. They opened up a bunch of them in my state, they seemed to do fairly well but after about a year the local media published the nutrition information with how much sugar and fat were in them. Within another year they were all closed. Can't blame people really. The doughnuts from KK are so bad for you, really "one" is all you should have and not very often. Not a crowd inducing business model.

To my eternal shame, I can't taste the difference in glazed donuts between Krispy Kreme, Dunkin Donuts, and the local 7-Eleven.

Don't feel too bad about that, the only time I've tasted an actual difference with a Krispy Kreme glazed was when it was literally fresh off the conveyor line.

Pretty much this. There is a specific taste/texture combination of the fresh ones that made them exemplary. I had often said they have a very short half-life, at which point they start going downhill. Eating, say, a box of them before they started degrading was impossible for a person who is at all concerned for their health.
