Your story with SRT

Simple. How many Super Robot Wars/Taisen games have you played, and which one?

My story goes back to the SNES (via emulator), with SRW 3, EX, 4 and Lord of the Elementals. Back then, I only knew about Mazinger Z, so everything else was totaly new for me. Also, that was the time when I started to hate the Valsion Custom, the Ispectors, and the Guest. Those nights replaying the last few scenes from SRW4 again an again are going to stay with me forever. DAMN YOU ZEZEMAN! :blue:

The GBA games were next. SRW A, R, D, OG2 and J (I played halfway thru OG, but I got bored).

And then, thanks to some friends, I got copies of SRW Aplna 3 and MX for PS2. MX has to be the easiest game ever; there are scenarios with 15 of your units + the battleship against 6 grunts that can be killed with one hit.

And finally, SRT OG & OG2. Finally getting all the conversations translated was glorious.

Now tell us, how did you get started in the SRT/SRW world?

Being Italian, I already knew pretty much every series in SRW3 (my first SRW) al?ready. Italy had a flood of super robot shows in the '80/'90 period, including Great Mazinger, Mazinger Z, Getter Robo, Grendizer, Jeeg Robot, Giant Robo and many others. So for me it was like a wet dream come true. :snigger:

I then proceeded to play pretty much every single cartridge-based SRW game. A list would be:

-SRW 3, 4, EX and Masoukishin (SNES)
-SRW Compact 1 and 2 (WonderSwan)
-SRW64 (N64)
-SRW A, J, D, R, OG and OG2 (GBA)

Note that I played every game regardless of language - any SRW fan worth his salt should know by heart what each command in the menu does, so it wasn't too hard, and taking note of the Seishin's effects was easy. I didn't play the NES ones, though - while I'm not normally a graphics bitch, they looked far too ugly to bother.

I was a bit disappointed with SRW64, though. And I loved SRWJ. Whee, first time on non-CD console with animations! And the Nadesico is there too!

hmm...I'm a recent SRW player, a friend of mine (Lord Rance) convinced me to try out our SRW 4 for SNES (sense it had the most unit I was fimular with at the time), from there I got all the first timeline games, Gaiden Maso Kishin, 2, 3, EX and 4 for the Nintendo Family.

I've played every one of the GBA SRW's Advance, Reversal, Destiny, OG (J and U), OG (J and U), and Justice though I've only beaten OG 1 and 2, and J

For the Wonderswan I've played Compact 1, Compact 2-1 Earth Chapter, Compact 2-2 Space Chapter and Compact 2-3 Galaxy Chapter and also Compact 3 (this one's mix I've enjoyed it's rare to see an SRW take place on another planet)

via iso's and PSX emulators I picked up Alpha (I'm in the upper 40s mission wise in this game), Alpha Gaiden (just found the earth cradle in the alternative future), F Final and Complete Box (I'm still waiting for F before I dive into this version of the original timeline).

Games I have yet to play Shin SRW, SRW Alpha 2 and 3, Impact and MX (which I've heard means Cross Impact.)

.... huh, which SRW games I played?

The real question is... which games haven't I played yet?

So... yep. Got 'em all. Even SRW2G.... black and white wonder for the GB... Bian Zoldark's death. The stars dominating 2G are V Gundam and God Gundam.

*shrug*

..... huuu.....

Oh... and Light-san, you might not like Shin SRW. It's not the... 'deformed animation' as it was in the others. Huh.... though Gaiking's pretty rad....

Personally, I'm still waiting for Original Generations for PS2. I pray to God that Atlus decides to be the wonderful, wonderful gift-giver it is again and brings it overseas once it's done.
