Nasuverse Zero no Tsukaima/FSN idea

I know fatous was creating a FSN/ZNT xover, but I was reading Volume 8 of ZNT manga at Baka Tsuki. There were a fact in the Volume that came at me.

1. Saito did in fact die at the Battle of Albion. Tifa was the one who brought him back from the dead. The result was that he lost the mark of Gandarfl.

My supposition is this. Tifa's magic worked a little too well. The elf magic brought back to life a former soul of Saito. The Emiya Shiro from the bad ending of Unlimited Blade Works. Who sacrificed his life to seal off the Holy Grail. And was reincarnated as Hiraga Saito

The effect was that Saito's memories from the time he was transported to Halkegenia was either partially or totally erased. I like the partial overwrite version. He may have at least flashes of memories of the events in ZNT prior, the the feelings associated with them are gone. And Shiro's memories (and skills) are beginning to come back. And instead of the runes of a Void familiar, the mark of a master of the Grail War appears instead.

The interesting questions for this idea is this:

1. Will Saito be fully Emiya at the end or a fusion of both? Does that mean he becomes Archer in the end?

2. The reaction of the people around Saito to his new transformation.

In the novel, Louise was able to reestablish the contract between her and Saito. Does it happen this time or not?

Who does Saito get involved in? Louise, Tiffa, Henrietta and Siesta for sure. Who else gets in the act? Agnes? (she does look like Saber)

When I saw the thread title, I thought it was Zero from Code Geass being summoned. I wonder which class he'd be; Rider, maybe.

Some thoughts, from one who has only seen the anime of both series, not the respective mangas/novels.

You would have to deal with how events of the 3rd season occur when Louise cannot summon / control zero magic and Saito being an uncontrolled familiar.

1. Will Saito be fully Emiya at the end or a fusion of both? Does that mean he becomes Archer in the end?

My problem is I've never bothered reading the novels, only see the series, so I've never really liked the Archer connection. Also, could he summon Saber from where he is. I would say maybe, as the summoning would have to be able to bust the dimensional wall, which in Zero series magic could do, but who knows with FSN based magic. If he has the marks, I would say it possible, but there is currently no grail war, which may effect things.

A interesting point would be whether he has *all* of Emiyas memories, so far you've mentioned you prefer the partial Saito memories, but not the state of Emiya's.

A concern here is if they attempt magic to get his memories back. They are essentially dealing with altering a soul. And he is to be at a magic academy and in a land of magic. Either/Both the Principal and Colbert are likely to attempt it, maybe at the queens behest.

I would be doubtful, but I guess it would depend upon whether Saitos power was granted due to his power of personality, or power and state of soul. If the latter, forget it.

I cannot really see Emiya involved with Louise. Closest in personality to Saber would likely be Agnes, but that is no guarantee of anything.

Saito/Emiya from this point on is not a familiar anymore. He is not beholden or bonded to anyone. If anything, Tristania is beholden to him for his actions at Albion. He single handedly saved an entire army. And more importantly, Saito/Emiya is now a mage. Depending on how fast Saito/Emiya can access his former memories he can now trace/image any object..even legenday ones, with the skill to match in wielding it. It'll be almost, but not quite being Gandalfyl again but on a much powerful level. Caliburn or Excalibur in the ZNT world?

Whose memories? Saito's or Emiya's? I'm not even sure what doing that would happen.

Only is this case, Saito is now mage wielding a type of magic no one in Halkegenia has heard off and still able to kick ass. There is going to be great interest in ensuring that Tristania keeps his service.

Well, I suppose it depends on how you want to take it. Remeber how heartbroken Lousie was she thought she lost Saito. What would she do this time? And now every female character from Tabitha to Henrietta has a chance now. You can take it anywhere.
