Zero no Tsukaima

I just started watching the new anime "Zero no Tsukaima. It's basically about a young female wizard(Louise) and her familiar (Saito). The young wizards, at the magic school she goes to, summon familiars that will be their helpers for the rest of the wizards life. Creatures are always summoned,( i.e. frogs, cats, dragons, etc, etc) but Louise summons a human(Saito). It's pretty good IMO.

Anywho, my request actually is... I need some info. To be more precise, I need sites/references with info on the "world" of Zero no Tsukaima. (i.e. Timeline, magic system, creatures etc, etc) Any info like that. Also, I believe it was/is a novel. I've got an idea in my head but I want some info before I go charging in headfirst trying to put together a story/crossover. I'm looking for info but coming up with next to nothing.

Any help is very appreciated.

When in doubt, always consult wikipedia. :)

Well, the anime is quite recent it seems so information sources are quite scarce, and only bits and pieces can be found right now...

By the way, there seems to be a game for PS2 with the same name at the origin of the anime.

I'd like to update. Zero no Tsukaima was a novel before it was anime/manga. There is a translation in the works. Also I would like to thank runestar and Mosh for posting.

As for my idea.... seems i'm not the only one to think of this.

The art style looks similar to Pani Poni Dash!, and that worries me for some reason... :ph43r:

edit: Nevermind. Just a passing similarity in the pics posted. Still, I might give it a look.

I watched a few episodes on YouTube (since I really have nothing better to do...other than wait for the next episode of Strawberry Panic!). It's pretty good, I like it. Decent amount of fanservice, typical anime slapstick violence, etc. Not a lot of info about its world just yet. Only thing I can say is that various people and objects from our world end up there every often or so. Eg. a 1970's porno magazine (LOL?)

The bit with the Staff of Destruction had me ROFLing pretty damn hard, actually. A bit of a 'HOLY SHIT' moment, really, but that was where the inherent humour was coming from.
