A new idea

Good news and bad: I've had a new idea.

This one is a departure from anime fanfiction, because I felt I needed a change.

This one is was brought about by a discussion with some of my friends and a perusal of this site - what if Superman wasn't so wholesome?

What if instead of growing up in small town America, he grew up with other influences....


No, I have no idea how high a priority fic this will be, and I don't want to give away too many details just yet, but as soon as I can manage to get something on a page, I'll post it for your perusal.

please do so, haven't been able to stand Superman since he came back from the dead in the Reign of the Supermen Arc. I absolutely loved that arc; Superman dead, Metallo pretending to be him, John Henry and his Steel suit, that one artifact that thought it was him, and the clone. :yay:

Superman/Shazam:First Thunder looks like it has potential as an AU though.

heh, thanks i must have had a brain fart or something i never really bothered to understand what was going on plot-wise once i saw a gun-toting commando superman. while i still have the whole Reign set i have never bothered to really read what had been going on after Sup came back, it surprised me to see Eradicator back in 1993's/#30. about the only thing i paid attention to was the fact that Green Lantern's city was destroyed by Mongul.

I have some bad news for this fic idea.

As it stands, I can only see one direction for this new Clark Kent and it's not good.

As entertaining as it would be to see Superman act all badass, he would be little more than a Gary Stu, and that's probably not a good thing.

That said, if you wanted me to write this fic as a parody/comedy fic, then I could try to make it entertaining with my own writing "style".

Have Clark discover the joys of the internet and weed as a teenager. He'll become 133tman, the superhero who single handedly burns down marijuana fields and factories (as well as other drugs,) and breathes in all of the smoke to get his high. Then he'll go home, and and use his super speed and reflexes to spend time on hundreds of forums at the same time as the biggest persona on the web...
