But SM aside I think that Midori Days would make an excellent Ranma crossover. The heroes of both series like to fight and Ranma would of course try and hide Midori, what with all the lunatics around him. Nabiki would find ways to make money and Kuno would probably fall in love with Puppet!Midori.
Hmm, depending on how it was handled, it might be interesting. Though, I have to wonder how the activation of a Jusenkyo curse would change things...at least in the anime, since I haven't gotten around to reading the manga yet, Midori was, I believe, projecting her spirit into Seiji's hand or something like that, since she wanted to be with him...as the shaman said, she didn't want to come back to her body.
So, would Hotaru establish her own 'domain' over Ranma's hand, thus having it not change, or would the Jusenkyo curse override it, turning it back into a female hand? Or would it only be temporary, and then shift back, if you assume that the curse only takes care of the initial transformation from male to female and back?
And, of course, there's the who sailor transformation. Since it works via reincarnation, I believe (not that I've ever seen or read Sailor Moon), hypothetically, the power should come with the spirit, though it would likely only affect that 'domain'...ie, his hand. Though, there could well be leakage, having some of it infusing Ranma's body. And, of course, in that case, there's the question as to how the Jusenkyo curse would react with that magic, especially since it
is Sailor Saturn...then again, you could always argue they're at least partially on different 'frequencies', so to say, and thus don't mess with each other in the slightest. Depends on what you want to do with it.
Also, I can't help but envision something like, "Of course I'm freaked out! I've just been informed that my right hand could destroy the planet!"
And eh, I know there's some people around here who like fuku fics somewhat. There's also plenty of people who aren't, and are, in fact, fed up with 'em, so, in my opinion, they tend to be more vocal about it. While I don't have a problem with fuku fics in
theory, I do object to almost any piece of fanfiction where Ranma starts thinking that his sex affects his gender (or, if you prefer, gender identity)...and a lot of fuku fics tend to wind up with Ranma thinking of himself as a woman in some capacity. :mellow:
Edit: Also, now I'm imagining Jusenkyo curses working in a
completely different way...ie, Ranma has a redhead attatched to his wrist, Ryoga has a little piggy, Shampoo has a cat... :snigger:
