Can you just picture Shinji at Otori. exposure and understanding of the female viewpoint, swordfighting, strange and surreal situations.

I bet that would serve him well going into the Evangelion storyline.

Actually, Tony wasn't nearly as much of a jackass, before they did the Civil War thing. I would have no trouble believing that he was possessed, replaced by a Skrull, or whatever, around the time Nitro blew up that school.
