Apart from the seven Classes from F/sn, there are two alternates in other games: Avenger in F/ha, and Saver (Savior?) in F/E.
Since alternate classes are clearly possible, here's a thread for them, and for characters (historical, mythical, or fictional) that might fit into said classes - for example, the God-Emperor of Man (WH40K) as Servant Savior (False Savior, to be specific, unless he's not fictional in that timeline, which brings in a huge mess), as could Superman or Harry Potter, for slightly different reasons. Anyone who is regarded as a god in his/her legend, or seen as someone there to save 'everyone', qualifies for Class Savior, AFAICT, and thus most or all Saviors have Divinity, often at a high level. So, Jesus Christ, or any Buddah, would qualify as Saviors - its not limited to one religion. Demi-gods who became gods, such as Herakles, could fit. The Doctor could be called as Savior, or Savior (False). VelspertheCat did an awesome job of turning Rider Medusa into Saver/Savior Medusa.
Some alternative classes that have occurred to me:
Commander: Known in life and legend as a leader in battle. Nearly always has a mass summon Noble Phantasm, similar to Rider Iskander's Army of the King, but some can maintain it longer, or have warriors with a higher level of Independent Action. If Arturia Pendragon were summoned as a Commander, for example, she would be able to call forth the Knights of the Round Table, while King Leonidas of Sparta could call forth his 300 Spartans. Brigadier Alistair Gordon Lethbridge-Stewart would actually be quite threatening, if summoned in this class, despite being both a modern hero, and probably fictional, because calling forth UNIT means calling forth the Doctor - possibly all of him.
Defender: Those heroes who have a defensive Noble Phantasm as part of their legend, such as Ajax, the warrior for whom Rho Aias is named, or Siegfried (Sigurd), who wore the Tarnhelm. Herakles' God Hand could also qualify him. Captain America, Iron Man, Akemi Homura, and Wonder Woman are among the fictional characters who could fit.
Fighter: Heroic Spirits with great ability in unarmed combat, and/or with weapons that do not fit the knight classes, may be summoned in this class. Herakles, who among other things, wrestled the giant Antaeus, might be called as Fighter, as could Bruce Lee, Chuck Norris, and others. Kwai Chang Caine could also be summoned, though you'd have to decide if Caine is fictional in this timeline. Superman and Wonder Woman, along with many other superheroes, could be called as Fighters.
Thief: Those Heroic Spirits known for stealing, even if that was not the only focus of their legend, fall within this class. Like Assassin, they have the skill of Presence Concealment, but generally not to the same degree. Autolycus, son of the god Hermes, is the King of Thieves. Robin Hood and any of his better-known Merry Men can be summoned in this class. Arsene Lupin and Catwoman are among the probably-fictional members.
Wanderer: Also called Explorer, Walker, or Traveller, this is the class of heroes whose legends include a great deal of drifting from place to place, whether aimlessly, or with a purpose. Like Archers, they tend to have high Independent Action, even as secondary summons (i.e. Servants of a Servant). Sun Wu-Kong and Herakles both fit this class, but the Doctor could be called King of Wanderers, even when fictional. Many Wanderers can also fit the Rider class, but not all of them.
James Tiberius Kirk qualifies for, among others, Commander, Rider, and Wanderer.
