Naruto Anko-sensei and Sakura-chan

A year or two before the formation of Team 7, Sakura's parents decide to hire a tutor for her, to help improve her chakra capacity, and maybe teach her some useful jutsus that they can't. They aren't rich, so they have to get someone skilled who works cheap.

By the time she joins Team 7, Sakura is going to be quite divergent, in a very scary, but potentially sexy, way (well, she'll be sexy once she grows up, but to the twelve-year-olds in her genin class, she's close enough). I think Anko could probably kill Sakura's pointless crush on Sasuke, at least. Not sure how she'll feel about Naruto, but this could be an interesting combination with the Ruthless!Naruto idea on the 'Miscellaneous ideas topic' thread.

Yeah, I agree with this entirely.

She's already very book-smart in canon (supposedly), and at the very least the amount of physical training she's going to get running away from Anko means that she's probably going to be in a lot better shape -- which means her overall class ranking won't drop as much.

Sasuke = Genius

Gai = Obsession over hard work.

They are incompatible.

Actually, if Gai points out that speed is the ultimate weakness of the Sharingan, then Sasuke would be willing to train under Gai.

Remember, Gai is considered THE best taijutsu practioners in Konoha, and he has enough chakra to pull of a summoning technique. Even if Sasuke would rather rely on ninjutsu, he isn't stupid enough to limit himself.

As for the story idea...

You guys are assuming that Naruto interacts with this new version of Sakura in the same manner that he does in cannon. Naruto may have a different crush beside Sakura in this AU.

Hell, Anko might tell Sakura to go on a date under, "how bad could it be". Well, that or "free dango".

True, but you forget one thing, Naruto's crush on the big forehead girl starts before Sakura's training with Anko.

but Sasuke didn't even activate his bloodline until after he became a genin, so any skills he had beforehand were a product of hardwork...
And hardworker or genius, Gai would definitely want to try to bring back the Youthfulness that was snuffed out in one so young.

In canon she's quite willing to beat on him till he's just a twitching mass of flesh (though yes, he does get back up again fairly quick) A Sakura that had her already existing violent reactions augmented by Anko's bloodthirstyness would likely use sharp pointy things, not just her fists, and keep on going till nothing was even twitching/gurgling anymore.

Naruto still might get up afterwards but it'd still count as a slaughter.

In fact I seem to remember a pic from the manga which showed Gai at least TRYING to teach Neji and TenTen how to open their Gates for Lotus...but only Lee was able to actually do it.

Which is...odd, to say the least.

Not that opening the Gates would be especially useful for Neji, or indeed, any Gentle Fist user. The speed and power increases just aren't worth the potential cost in a style which is so utterly indifferent to physical strength; if Neji really needs a lot more chakra all of a sudden, it'd be a lot safer for him to just pop a soldier pill -- not Chouji's special three, but the ordinary kind.

If Sakura is twisted by Anko, then she might just like having Naruto after her. If she can twist him around her finger like it seems like she could do in canon if she just paid attention to him, then she would have a boyfriend she could do anything to and he could heal any damage from it. Anko seemed to me like the kind of person who might get pleasure from inducing pain. If she passes that to Sakura, then Naruto would be the ultimate boyfriend, one who would let you do anything to him and he would just bounce right back. :evil:
