Harry Potter Another Alternate Harry idea.

Just an other take on the Harry raised by someone other than the Dursleys idea.

In this idea, Harry is raised by someone that would get labeled Dark by the wizarding world, but is not (too) evil, relatively. Preferably one that has a different form of magic so that we can make this Harry feel even more off (and be a little less of a weakling).

So, perhaps we have a Harry raised by Elric of Melnibone, or Lejes Rimuels, or even Blue.

Edit: or your average Euthanos.

Done a million times, in other forms, I know.

Edit #2: Psychic Harry as an alternate idea.

Ahem.

LEZARD VALETH.

You're playing VP. You should know how deliciously deranged the idea of Harry acting like Lezard, or even better, being Lezard himself, would be...

Just because GH has the overlord sig:

What if you have him raised by an overlord? One mean critter that would bring out the best(worst) in Harry. :p

Or since we're on a Magic: the Gathering binge: what if he was raised by a Planeswalker like Urza or Taysir?

VOLDIE: "Avada Ked..."

HARRY: *casts Obliterate, annihilating Voldie, his armies and everything within several kilometers from Ground Zero*

EVERYONE ELSE: "O_O Geez, talk about overkill."

Heh that could work out nicely.

You can also have him with blue type powers you know the whole:

I CONTROL YOU!!!

I have no idea why, but this idea hit me.

Harry raised by Rincewind. So, we actually have a Harry raised by a wizard less potent than almost every other wizard ever. On the other hand, this Harry is going to be much more proficient with a sock with a half a brick in it.

This reminds me of an old idea i had before joining TFF:

Harry raised by no other than McGyver, don't ask me how i got to this :p

I'm actually half tempted to write that.

If I can find any old tapes that have Angus on them.

If not, then I'll find Doctor Who and get a bunny for that idea.

McGyver? Well I guess we'll know that Harry will be resourceful with a stick of gum, floss, and a paper clip.

Consider that one of the subjects that Hogwarts teaches is transforming one thing into another.

Consider the lack of logic that most of the Wizarding world shows.

Imagine how dangerous Harry would be if he could turn anything into a stick of gum, floss, and a paper clip.

Right there you have perhaps the most dangerous incarnation of Harry Potter almost anywhere.

The "Power He Know Not" woul be a stick of gum, floss and a paper clit then ?
Yeah, why not ? It's funny and it could be it since it's muggle product...

Now you're tempting me...

I can see it:

Voldie: Aveda Kedavra! *trips due to a trap prepared by Harry and aims the spell in the wrong direction.*

Heh, I was wondering if anyone was going to notice that, I wasn't going to say anything but it did make me do a double take first time I noticed it.

This 'kid' is 10 years older than you.

And I found it amusing, is all. :unsure!:

Heh, just because out body ages doesn't mean we necessarily have to grow up, I am proud to say that my maturity stopped developing when I was about 11 years old, hehe.

Yeah, you already said it before...I was kidding by the way, but it's true that sometime I wonder if my faillure as an author came from the fact that I'm not a 10 year old in my head...

I'm proud to say that i think the same way... hey if our bodies grow it doesn't mean that we have to mentally mature too...

Although sometimes... i'm thinking like a very old man.

How about Harry being raised by Deathwing from Warcraft (Namely the Day of the Dragon version). I think that even dragons would realize that annoying someone adopted by a being of pure death, destruction, and mayhem would be a bad thing. Also the goblins (If connected to the Warcraft ones [Just love the pyromaniac psychotics]) would do anything they could to please him since they worship the black dragon as a god.

Another pair of wierd people raising Harry that I've considered were Dr. Nico Tatopolus (Godzilla/Godzilla: The Series) and Robert Muldoon (Jurassic Park [Either version]) and then perhaps by Hammond if Muldoon dies.

Wierd people raising Harry huh? Thats an easy one. Joint work by Virgel and Dante from DMC as his father figures. Having both as part of his life despite haveing them hate each other would leave Harry with most of their weeknessess and strengths canceling each other out to leave him strong, well balanced, and haveing so many quirks you couldn't help for feel for the first impresion he would leave on you.

I had the idea of having The Thousand Master, Nagi Springfield (Negima), raise Harry Potter instead of the Dursley, but then I was too lazy to write i. :p While Harry may or may not be able to learn most 'His' world's spells, but at least he won't be a pushover, especially Nagi is a Warrior/Swordsman Mage and has cooler spells.

I've seen the start of a fic where he was the son of Nagi... was it here? was it on ff.net? I can't remember, but it's not like people are lazy enough not to search for it. :p

Oh ya... how about Dan Hibiki? :snigger:

PS: Welcome Rei II to the realm of insanity.

Don't know much about Dan Hibiki, but what about an older Ryoga Hibiki raising Harry? :snigger:

*Imagines Harry screaming out 'Where the Hell am I now!?' before blasting his way through the Forbidden Forest, only to end up in Swindon.*
