I'm not a writer, but every so often an idea pops into my head and bounces around for a while before drifting off. here one of them.
harry tries to learn to apparate, but of course, its not that simple...

Harry stood with the other testees, waiting for his turn to take the test. he was fairly confident he could pull it off, after all, hermione had all but-no, she had forcefed him all the theory she could dig up on apparating, and then some...though, come to think of it, there was so much theory, that he had no time to actually practice...
"note to self, talk to hermoine about her, umbridge, and too much theory" he muttered to himself. "Number 42! Number 42! Please come to the front of the room." called the instructer. harry shook himself out of his musings, and made his way twoards the instructer, who then motioned for him to stand in the designated area. "right then, stand there, apparate over there, and you pass. splinch yourself and you fail." the man said tiredly. right, nothing left to do but to do it thought harry as he prepared himself for the task.
=bah dum, chhhh=
"er...you pass?" was the second thing harry heard, the first being the sound you hear when late show comedians make a joke. harry calmly took his certificate, and walked outside to the aparating zone. he then apparated to the burrow with a =sploosh=, and his right eybrowe bagan to twitch. he then apparated to grimmuald place with a =elephant trumpet=, then to diagon alley with a =mmmbop=. by now his eybrowe was doing 80 in a 50 mph zone. finnally, he apparated to a random dentists office with a =ff7 victory theme=, and saw hermione sitting in a chair reading a book.
he looked at her suprised face and said"where was this in the theory?"
