Since this is one of the few Fowl threads anywhere, I figger this is as good a place as any to pose a question. Writing a fic right now, and am kinda stuck on a point. And I can finally have a reason to use this smiley: :help:

So, question: after the events of the Eternity Code, how would an imprisoned and disgraced Jon Spiro act when paid a visit by one mind-wiped Artemis Fowl? I reckon he would be furious, for the most part, but exactly how furious would depend largely on how 'disgraced' he is, no? As in whether or not he still has any influence, mob-related or otherwise, while behind bars?

Setup is Artemis, post-mind-wipe, somehow noticed these strange gaps in his memory; he's trying to figure out what the fuck is up with that and, during his contemplation, recalls very clearly that he had a great deal of interaction with Jon Spiro fairly recently (which, somehow, did not end well); semi-logical conclusion, visit a prison and have a chat with Jon, see if he knows of anything that happened during their meetings that might explain anything.

I've got it writ up to a very awkward 'hello' between them, but I've not a clue where to go from here. Suggestions? Ideas? Ridicules?

Artemis was not completely mind-wipe. Foaly just edit out all info about fairy for the last 3 year form his mind. Everything else was lift untouched. His brains will fill in all the blank spot in his mind by false memory on its own. So he will only remember taking down Spiro with the help of Butler and Juliet. Artemis might find something to suspect if he talk to Butler or Juliet about what happen that day and get very different stores about what happen.

I'm aware of how it worked; I'm just taking it in a different direction. Artemis has had several chats with Butler and gone over a great deal of research of his going-ons in the last three-ish years, and in doing so has found a lot of things he can't really explain. Places he went to that he can't exactly remember why, large sums of money spent in ways he can't recall, etc, etc. Butler and Juliet have a bit of the same problem. So Jon Spiro is the most available person he can question right now about what's up with that, aside from Pex and Chips (Arno Blunt's dead. and Nyugen from book 1 is in the wind, as it were; Butler's trying to track him down), but I'm not about to touch them in any literary sense. <_<
