Best Intros and Themes

So, what Intros, themes and songs used in television really stuck with you? Which are your favorites?

Babylon 5 <a href='http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=etYHWZyRSMU' target='_blank' rel='nofollow'>No Hiding Place.</a> I like the song, but it's the scene it's associated with that elevates it to classic for me. Lord Refa had been asking for it for a LONG time and well I'll just post a link to the whole thing. <a href='http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=yYKloZRwLu4' target='_blank' rel='nofollow'>Seen Here.</a>

When Lord Refa turns and makes a break for it, my only thought is "Run little piggy, RUN!"

....yes I do have a burning desire for justice (vengence) that I usually keep under wraps but sometimes...that part of me REALLY wants out.

Justified:
<a href='http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=q__bIJUWZv4' target='_blank' rel='nofollow'>Long Hard Times to Come.</a>

<a href='http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=6exa4fueQzI' target='_blank' rel='nofollow'>Gunslinging Rambler</a>

Doctor Who

<a href='http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=yESKH04t02U&feature=related' target='_blank' rel='nofollow'>Doctor Who Series 6</a>

I used the remastered version, because you can hear the music better.

No linky, but I've always liked the Quantum Leap theme music. It's something I find myself humming every so often, more often lately now that it's being rerun on G4.

I give you <a href='http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=9ix8Vy3mEHk' target='_blank' rel='nofollow'>The Japanese Version</a> sung by Masaaki Endoh.

Here's my contribution: <a href='http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Jvr6X054xLY' target='_blank' rel='nofollow'>"Who Do You Think You Are Kidding, Mister Hitler?"</a>, the theme to Dad's Army.

To elucidate: It's sung by Bud Flanagan, part of a famous comedy double act from WWII, and much like the Home Guard it celebrates, it isn't flamboyant or bombastic, just genteel defiance against the "Nazi Hordes", and a wry sense of humour at the absurdity of the situation.

Possibly because it's too obvious, that your mind just automatically skips it?

<a href='http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Ae-Pl-Q34ng&feature=related' target='_blank' rel='nofollow'>Transformers</a>. I'd add The Touch too, but that's from the G1 movie so it doesn't fit.

Pretty much every song used on a certain show involving ponies except the opening theme. Which is still good, its not a <a href='http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=UzsxfO7dBlA' target='_blank' rel='nofollow'>"This Day"</a> or <a href='http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=mNrXMOSkBas' target='_blank' rel='nofollow'>"Smile Smile Smile"</a> or <a href='http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Cu3zt5T7gYM' target='_blank' rel='nofollow'>"At The Gala"</a>, or <a href='http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=G39GSXsBTmU' target='_blank' rel='nofollow'>"Winter Wrap-Up"</a>, or <a href='http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=L2s1I_U8xSw' target='_blank' rel='nofollow'>"Art of the Dress"</a>, or <a href='http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ys8gg-NKdD0' target='_blank' rel='nofollow'>"Becoming Popular (The Pony Everypony Should Know)"</a> or even a short feature like <a href='http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=CorI4Wq8dSU' target='_blank' rel='nofollow'>The Hearth's Warming Eve Carol</a>... well, you get the idea. :)

Every Canadian alive in the 70's, 80's, and 90's will insist on the inclusion of <a href='http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=P-zY3XGml-M&feature=fvwrel' target='_blank' rel='nofollow'>the HNIC theme</a>; regardless of their actual opinion of hockey. It was just that ubiquitous.

BSG has a good one. I still get goose bumps when I see the numbers and music just adds to the effect.
