The sound effects are terrible.

The lipsync is nonexistant.

The voices (especially Rukia) are painful.

The ungodly horrible first 3 minutes where he tried to make 4th wall style jokes made me skip through it because otherwise, i'd have broken my headphones.

Overall, its pretty bad.

The best abridged series, bar none, is the Yugioh one. Either YuYuHakusho or Naruto is next best.

But this... this is terrible.

Hell, the enjoyability of it doubles when I just listen to it, instead of forcing myself to deal with ther terrible lipsync.

The voices are pretty much always painful in abridged series. The rest usually makes up for it. Haven't watched enough to give an official verdict yet, but nothing really stuck out from what I saw. :huh.:

Hey, the voices in Yu-Gi-Oh Abridged are hysterical.

I'll watch Bleach Abridged later, but the only one I've ever liked is the original.

Oh well, it's not for everyone. But, the guy does a mean Patrick Warburton AND Heath Ledger!Joker impression.

The Yugioh ones are insane. They actually sound like what I remember the characters sounding like (except Tea, but she sounds hilariously awesome, anyway... and like an actual woman), and it flows very very well.

Rukia sounds like freaking Kurama from YuYuHakusho, here.

And the complete lack of lip sync.... ugh.

Maybe it gets funnier later, but as it was, I had to skip the first few minutes of the first episode, and then just listen to the rest of it.

True. He uses the particularly strange set of voices to his advatage. But taken out of context the voices would be incredibly dull in some cases (The kind you'd expect on Peter Francis Geraci), and in others outright annoying.

Okay finished it. Started off pretty meh, and the voice synching was annoying at first, but it got better down the line. However what I'm particularly surprised about is that this guy has his own style when he goes about this. Chad's voice and who it was obviously made to represent completely caught me with a left hook to the balls, and thus was hilarious, and later with freaking GRAND FISHER... man... Though some of the age old Abridged classics are still there, he managed to make his version somewhat unique in application, which is a thing in itself.

I think it has to do with the fact that the guy is attempting to become a voice actor himself. Rukia is particularly annoying though it did get somewhat better down the line, but I don't honestly expect guys to play good girls, and frankly Sakura's Abridged voice is pretty much on the same level for similar reasons. Chad's was hilarious, and Ichigo's was pretty good. Needs a bit more umph, but overall I could actually take that voice seriously.

Edit: Forgot to mention. Decent overall, but the other two are probably better. Although, Scottish Urahara was the most epic thing ever. Completely blindsided me.

"Man I love that song."

The thing that annoys me the most about the series...

was in the first episode where they poke fun at voice actors.

*shakes head* Honestly, I never get why people hate American voice actors so much. Honestly, the English version of Bleach has a near all-star cast of voice acting talent. (Wendee Lee is Yoruichi for crying out loud!)

I have indeed seen worse voice actors. I'm none to fond of the kid they cast for Hitsugaya though. I'm pretty sure he's the same guy they ripped on in Naruto Abridged using Shino, but I haven't checked names yet. I rather liked the tone he had in the original version, that one seemed less strict...

Hitsugaya's voice was just plain wrong. He's suppose to sound like a mature kid, not some 20 year old.

And yes, Scottish Urahara is fucking epic.

Looked it up. Apparently Hitsugaya is done by the same guy as Neji. And apparently both Shino and Zaku are voiced by the same person, so now I really don't get the Naruto Abridged joke... :hmm:

And yes, Scottish Urahara was epic laddie.

I'm hoping that Byakuya sounds like Rimmer from Red Dwarf. And for some reason I have the weirdest notion that Renji would be epic if he sounded stereotypically Mexican.

I really like how he introduced Orihime. That was my favorite scene. The part in Ep. 4 where kon!ichigo kisses her hand was also pretty funny.

Also: "Dynamic Entry #58!"

It's a pretty good series with the quality improving in the later episodes. I espically enjoyed the whole thing with the Grand Fisher in the latest episode.

Why couldn't Urahara be Scottish in the actual anime? :(

I know.

Well, given khenpoe's update rate, I think we can expect to see episode 9 this month. Anyway, I found another guy who does some pretty awesome Bleach parodies:

Bleachers by Sehanort

Granted, it's often disjointed, but Kenpachi running around and acting like Snake from Metal Gear,, Aizen wishing to be the Lord of Halloween,, and Orihime beating Ulquiorra in DDR and getting a job as an assistant teacher to the Espada are all epic. Also, Urahara acting like Quagmire from Family Guy and naming Benihime's special attack his "Pimp Smack" are pretty funny as well.

It's clever alright. Wish there were more voice actors.

I actually like semisoma1's version even though it sucked at first and I hate some of the voices. What I DO like is how they handle the recent Ichigo-Rukia interactions.

Apparently they're dating without any of Ichigo's knowlege

I thought this one was dead, just like G Gundam abridged.
