Apparently Sasuke stopped straightening his hair when the new artist took over.

Also I just realized that Sasuke is still carrying around a scratched out Konoha headband even though he's not a missing-nin anymore. That seems pretty darn disrespectful to me, I bet it really rubs a lot of the veteran ninja the wrong way. I imagine that Sasuke isn't very popular with his fellow Konoha-nin.
First, he would have to be home long enough for it to get noticed. XD

Secondly, Sasuke could walk around Konoha in nothing but a fig leaf and painted on his chest "DIE LEAFY, DIE" and they really can't do anything other than suck it up because he outclasses everyone but one person by orders of magnitude.

also, the scratched forehead protector is something only Akatsuki did... so either he's mistaken for an Akatsuki or, more likely, people take it as some sort of mark of pride, like scars

Pretty sure it must be Itachi's. Sasuke kinda developed a bit of hero-worship for him after getting rid of his obsession with killing him.

It's his original headband that Naruto returned to him in Chapter 699.

In that case people would hate him even more. Akatsuki tried to enslave the entire world, and started a war that killed tens of thousands of shinobi. Sasuke did join their group briefly, and the fact that he is carrying a headband scratched out in their style would seem to imply that he still holds some loyalty to that dead organization. Seeing that headband on his belt would almost certainly royally piss off a lot of ninja who served and lost loved ones in the fourth shinobi world war.

Then again, it's not like he'd care or they could do anything about it... And he doesn't really show it off.

I flipped back to the Rasengan training since I could vaguelly recall Jiraiya mentioning hand-seals. Turns out that in the official translations he was just saying it doesn't use them so they likely weren't involved in the creation process at all.

However I also saw that Jiraiya specifically says that the Fourth Hokage spent three years "perfecting" the jutsu, not "inventing" it. Bringing the six months thing into question again.

"Perfecting" doesn't mean "mastering".
He took him three years to develop the technique(inventing) and make it have constant results(perfecting), then six month to master it enough for effective battlefield use.

So Sarada continues to be the best thing about this continuation. Boruto's still an obnoxious little shit.

First images from the Hokage Day special

Anime gave Himawari an even better Stealth Byakugan, now without swollen blood vessels, which means it's even more stamina-effective than Kaguya's!

Truly, the Keikaku cannot be stopped

Damn, Himawari is the perfect example of how the Hyuuga should have always looked. People with normal eyes that turn white when they activate without freaky blood vessels popping out of their skulls. Weird design was weird.

The new artist, Mikio Ikemoto, he really likes curly hair doesn't he? It would be one thing if he only drew new characters with curly hair, but it's honestly kind of weird how he changed the hairstyles of characters who previously had straight and/or spiky hair. He also draws their faces much softer and rounder than Kishimoto did. Sasuke, Hinata and Sakura are almost unrecognizable.

...I'm honestly cool with the other guy continuing with the edits.

Especially if it means that Hinata no longer looks like a walking penis.

So, Boruto will be the one to bring about the end of ninjas.

Simply because he's a spoiled little shit that wants shortcuts.

What the father built, the son will destroy.

so the new Sand Three are the children of the Kazekage again? I'm guessing he adopted

So the world has gotten so peaceful that they've even have train tracks connecting Suna and Konoha now. And that is one gigantic pimped out train car that they riding in. Clearly Gaara always travels in style.

Kankuro looks like a freakin' Sith Lord now. I love it.

"Science Ninja Weapon." That sounds like something from a power rangers cartoon.

That first test was hilariously awesome. I can't believe none of them suspected a thing though after being asked to stand on those specially marked weird looking platforms in order to answer a random trivia question. It was so obviously a trap. Ninja these days, jeez.

Seriously, why doesn't Naruto use clones to help him go through those massive piles of paperwork? I can understand why people might get offended if he sends clones to meetings in his place, but who would care if it was a clone signing his mission reports and approving logistics requests and whatnot?

Oh my god, the pose Boruto strikes on this page. So sassy. I can't even.  :snigger:

Didn't Boruto brag before about having already mastered wind, water and lightning nature transformation? So how come he literally has never used any elemental ninjutsu aside from cheating with the ninja science weapon? He's got such a reputation as a prodigy that most of the proctors don't suspect that he didn't perform those jutsu himself. Only the guy in a labcoat apparently noticed. Is he just a big phony who talks a good game and has got everyone fooled into thinking he's way stronger than he actually is?

As anime fan I feel insulted by you!

he probably DOES and those are the important paperworks he cannot let clones do(sameway he can't let a clone in the office)

I think he mastered elemental recomposition but never learned any technique.
He's kind of lazy and right now his main driving force is being acknowledged by his father... he probably learned elements to impress him but it wasn't enough so he gave up improving further

I'd imagine Naruto considers the Hokage office something too sacred to dick around in, hence why he stays there and does all the work himself while shooting off clones to handle other duties.

The concept of "cheating" doesn't really exist in the world of Naruto, since, you know, ninja. In fact, they were actually encouraged to cheat -- just don't be sloppy and get caught doing so. Some might be let down if Boruto was claiming the skills as his own strength, but as a weapon. it should be perfectly acceptable if weapons and tools are permissible.

So, what does Tumblr and Narusaku.com think of Salada?
