Commander Katsuragi Misato grinned widely at Shinji and his father, the esteemed Dr Rokubungi, posing justfully to fit the scene of triumph. The good doctor only rubbed his eyes in disbelief as his teenager son let the toothpick drip from his mouth in surprise, the wooden article rolling along the cold metal floor.
Katsuragi was insane.
"Whaddaya think?" the Genius Commander proudly puffed her chest, "Designed it, engineered it and patched 'em together with the Construct Crew in 4 days, 11 hours 17 minutes and 33 seconds!" she hugged one of the monstrosities. Shinji could just see the little pink anime heart puffing above her head as he tried to place logic.
"Isn't it cool?"? :wub:
"C-Commander..." his father began, tentatively trying to restrict his bark, "Just what the Hell is this?" he said with great restraint, trying not to kanpai her with his infamous fan.
"Ya never watched Gundam?" she cocked her head to one side, ever the teenager trapped in a 35 year-old body.
They both shook their heads.
"It's how we're gonna beat the Angels, of course!"
Shinji's left eye twitched.
"Commander-san!" Shinji's ears were met with that of his cheerful sister Rei, who had suddenly appeared with a clipboard. "I - I finished the diagnostics, desu!"
"Good job, Captain!"
"A - Arigato, desu!"
And all of a sudden, his Commander donned herself with a red cloak, cackling as the twenty deployment bays opened, maniacal feminine laugh echoing throughout the base. The monstrous creations of Katsuragi were raised to the surface.
Misato gave the order.
"ZAKU SQUADRON, AWAY!"
