BtVS: The Village Hidden in the Valley of the Sun

For some reason (his own amusement is enough), Ethan has a lot of costumes available for ninja from a non-canon Hidden Village. Xander wins an in-store contest, the prize of which is the battle-armour of the leader of that Village: the Shodai Kinkage of Tenpisawagakure no Sato (First Lord Gold-Shadow of the Village Hidden in the Valley of the Sun).

Buffy might be a kunoichi, or might still be Lady Useless. Perhaps she'd be an ANBU-equivalent, or a chuunin on a courtesan mission. :snigger:

Willow would probably be more comfortable in a full Jounin uniform, than she was in the hooker dress she had on under her ghost sheet. For that matter, she might just wear the jounin vest and a forehead protector over the hooker dress, since we've seen her in short skirts, before.

Cordelia or Amy could make an interesting med nin, perhaps wearing a Tenpisawa forehead protector with a 'naughty nurse' outfit. :drool:

While the thought of Ms. Calendar in a fishnet shirt would be very hot, I doubt she could get away with it, at least in the open. Something like Kurenai's 'dress-of-bandages' would work, though.

Dawn and her friends as genin could be interesting. Cassandra (from s7 'Help') with a bloodline limit that lets her see the future, or Billy (from S1 'Nightmares') as a genjutsu specialist, for example.

If he's aiming for maximal chaos, let there be a basket of forehead protectors there at checkout, one free with every purchase, refilling from big bags he has in back.

And, of course, there are two symbols, minimum, available.

After all, what could be more chaotic than a full-on ninja war between costumed vampires and other icky critters? And to get as many people as possible actually wearing them, declare a post-Halloween prize drawing with a bunch of cash awards - your entry being a picture of yourself on Halloween, in costume, with the headband on, and contact information on the back so he can notify the 'winners'.

Its the sort of thing you'd want to be VERY well protected from, however, so I could easily see Ethan having a pre-Halloween contest for giving away a very elaborate Kage costume, and a dozen jounin, all from the same village and with the mission to protect him for the night embedded somewhere in their fibers (perhaps in sanskrit on the back of the tab with their washing instructions? Or literally sewn into the seams using a sewing machine that spaces stiches in morse code? - In the later case he could also detail long lists of specific abilities for that ninja to have).

Since he'd be preparing these as his own personal bodyguards for the night there would be an effort on his part to cover all of the specialties and make them as tough as possible. Bloodlines, both real and made up, are a distinct possibility. After all, how can you do better than to have a few Hyuga bodyguards with Byakugan sight? It's invaluable for stopping surprises.

However, he might easily overlook the fact that, with their Kage RIGHT THERE, those ninja he was relying on to guard him can afford to change their minds according to evidence, if they should find out some facts that would cause them to question or abandon the mission.

Or perhaps just to kill him themselves.
