Author's Notes û

Yes, another new project from me. Enjoy if you will, tolerate if you must, but let me know what you're really thinking.

Yeah, I originally had this idea for Ranma 1/2, but wondered if it might work better with LH.

Thick clouds rolled overhead, a violet glow emanating from the sky, hinting at the power of the approaching storm. The cool springtime air felt heavy and oppressive as the lone figure approached the compound. Many people waked by the strangely dressed man, thinking little of him as they scurried home to prepare for the coming storm.

A long flight of stairs led him towards the isolated building. The building towered over the rest of the village, providing a perfect view of the humble burg, as it stood atop the hill. But it was the sight of the building that warmed the man's heart.

With a sigh the raven haired youth walked through the entryway, closing the doors forcibly with only minor effort on his behalf as a gust of wind slammed the door close.

"I'm home," he proclaimed as he entered the main lounge.

"Keitaro-sempai," a soft voice greeted. "When did you get back?"

He smiled at the buxom blunette as she emerged from the hallway leading to the kitchen. "I just got back."

"Good timing," the beaming woman smiled pleasantly. "Dinner will be ready in a minute. Could you go get Naru? She's supposed to be helping board the windows. Tell her that dinner is almost ready."

"Sure thing Shinobu," replied the young man.

He couldn't help but finger the box in his jacket pocket as he ascended the stairs as he sought his girlfriend. Though they had lived together in the Hinata Sou for years they had only been dating for a few. Smiling, he knew that both of them were now ready to take their relationship to the next level.

For the past year he'd been forced to leave the Hinata Sou several times for weeks at a time. The last job wasn't even finished but he'd managed to convince the others to allow him to return to Japan briefly for this special occasion. Though Naru hated seeing him leave, she always looked forward to his return. And this time would definitely be memorable.

It didn't surprised him that no one else was around, with everyone's schedules it was hard for them all to always be home when he returned. The silence was punctuated by the brewing storm outside, giving the empty building an eerie feel.

"Naru?" he called out to her as he knocked on her door. The moment his knuckle struck the wooden door he felt something. A feeling of great unease ran through is hand and arm, filling his soul with a sense of dread he hadn't felt since fighting Saffron.

Instinct prompted him force the door open. "Naru!"

Most would have thought the room barren. Most wouldn't have thought to look up at the ceiling. Ranma wasn't like most.

"Naru!"

He could only stare at the auburn haired beauty as she was pressed against the ceiling, her mouth agape in a prolonged scream. A long, bloody gash ran down her breast and across her stomach as a trail of blood and entrails threatened to spill from the wound.

The sound of light footsteps pounding against the wooden steps behind him barely registered in his mind.

"Urashima!" a desperate voice called out.

He could feel the slender kendoka grab his shoulders as she sought entry into Naru's room. The slight contact was enough for him to feel her body falter at the sight of Naru's tortured and silent scream as the older woman was pressed against the ceiling.

"Narusegawa!"

Flames suddenly burst, consuming the still living beauty, flooding the room with overwhelming heat.

"Naru!"

"You can't help her!" Motoko screamed as she pulled him away at the last moment, barely avoiding the flames as they shot out into the hallway.

"Naru!" he cried out again, struggling against the other woman. "Naru!"

This section needs obvious changes.

Well, as I said in the other thread, I like Supernatural so I'll give this a chance.
