Yeah, looks a lot like that SNL Black Widow parody, and it still looks like a better live action Superman property than Man of Steel.

CGI is hokey, but not super awful in some parts.

I'll give the pilot a shot at least.

Does seem similar to the Flash more than anything else.

Jimmy Olsen being a buff handsome black guy just seems weird. Not the black part of it, the rest.

Toymaker being her bestie is a bit strange. Haven't seen him in a long time and this was not where I expected to find him. That's some oldschool DC shit there.

Hank Henshaw being in this is interesting I guess. That's something that won't pan out for at least three or four seasons assuming it lasts that long.

I didn't hate Man of Steel, but like I said, this seems more like Superman than it did, even with the weird romcom trappings. Some people are suggesting it's an urban Smallville, but the later part of the series, which I'm also okay with. I believe Dean Cain has a cameo in the pilot, as well as Helen Slater, no word on exactly what they are doing in the show.

I'd have preferred the modern 'I hate humanity and this planet sucks' Kara. They could have easily played it for laughs and she would have been more interesting. Unfortunately, they kind of need Clark around to pull that off.

Also, I think she's going to be dating Jimmy Olsen. Let that sink in for a moment. Here's an image to help with that...

When is DC going to wise up and give us a live action Teen Titans show? I'd watch that in a heartbeat if it has anywhere near the level of writing the original did, and given how Flash and Arrow came out, I can't say they couldn't pull it off.

I'd take that as a replacement for Gotham gladly.

Lol. wow. That was the Black Widow SNL sketch that played during the Pac-Man-Mayweather fight.

I'm okay with it though because it is hilarious. Not sure how I will like the actual show though. The trailer highlights things that I don't really like.

I'm willing to give it a chance, if it happens to be on at a time that I'm not doing something I can't delay. The second half or thereabout was at least better than most of the first.

I felt the only real redeeming thing from the last half is Black James Olsen.

So, I watched the "leaked" first episode.
A little slow in the being, mostly because themes I don't favour, it gets good once it's going.
I'll wait the regular airings.

Still, I have three issues with this episode:
1. her costume NEEDS to be BRIGHTER. Especially given they are likely to show her often in broad daylight.
2. they wasted VARTOX, the HYPER-MAN! And he wasn't even in the traditional fighting garb of his planet!
3. Jimmy Olsen. Now, the actor is good and the character works for the role.
The problem comes mostly from a personal cognitive dissonance: in the comics Jimmy always been the young adult sidekick photographer with a peculiar look(when he wasn't a giant turtle)

Here Jimmy both sports a completely different look and, by virtue of being 30 or so(and therefore ~10 years older than his usual comics counterpart) he's wiser and more mature. He doesn't even want to be called Jimmy!
Therefore everything screams "THAT'S NOT JIMMY OLSEN" to my inner comic books nerd.
Well, he didn't have much of screentime in this episode, maybe we'll see more Jimmy-brand weirdness in the next ones.(I totally want him randomly cross-dressing, referencing the weird-ass silver age stories and being all "been there, done that, got the t-shirt, turned into a human-porcupine")
