Well, the other topic is going to be only for discussing the setting, so I'd appreciate it if those who want to participate would C&P their characters here and remove the entries over there. Be sure to leave the questions, though... :p

Also, I'm submitting my own PC:

----

Name: Morgeth Leshnear
Age: 41
Race: Nagah
Sub-race: Mutant
Length: 741 cm. (from head to tails)
Weight: 208 kg
Hair: Blue
Eyes: Dark blue, glow slightly in the dark when Morgeth is angry
Class: Huntress, Wanderer. She's not above being a hired soldier, but due to her being a loner, she rarely accepts such jobs.

Background info:
Morgeth was one of the few nagah who lived outside the Esterk forest, instead living in the Unisvel area's richest hunting grounds, where she and a small pocket of nagah led a fairly nomadic life, moving along with the animals they hunted for food.

When the Unisvel area was struck with what came to be known as the Disaster Wave 15 years ago, Morgeth and her brood were caught in it. All but Morgeth died, while Morgeth was violently (and painfully) mutated by the Wave, which stripped her of her ability to use and sense Nature magic and gave her four extra arms and glowing eyes, as well as impressive physical strength and the ability to sense the presence of Wild Magic - something that came in handy to avoid the sudden magical storms that rip through the Unisvel Desolation.

Due to the changes the Wave brought upon her, she was deemed tainted by other nagah, and was marked as an outcast. Embittered and angry, she took up residence on the blasted remains of Unisvel's area, hunting the other mutated animals and keeping away from most other living beings.

About the only being she trusts is Leen Rivendell, the young would-be human Monster Huntress she saved a few years back as she was about to be killed by a mutated lizard. Leen took to following her around, as she's supposed to be on a journey of learning and training, and thus believes that by sticking with her, she'll learn much about fighting and surviving in hostile areas.

Extra info:
Morgeth cannot use any kind of magic at all, but is exceptionally skilled in the use of almost every one-handed weapon there is, as well as several two-handed ones. Due to her exceptional strength, she can wield some two-handed weapons with only one hand. Unlike most nagah, she doesn't use bows, preferring instead to use javelins as distance weapons.

Over the years she learned to use all six of her arms in battle, allowing her to launch consecutive attacks with truly devastating results.

Also, due to the taint of Wild Magic that mutated her, she can now perceive its presence, and predict where a magical storm will hit. She doesn't appear to have any ability to actually call on it, though, although a large part of it may stem from her hatred of it.

Morgeth is a cynical, disillusioned woman who tends to view things in the most pessimistic way possible - a stark contrast with the ever-optimist Leen. However, she also is a very stubborn person who will never give up if she thinks something is worth doing.

While Morgeth resembles a marilith, she's not one. Thus, she shouldn't be treated as such.

----

Also, her support character:

----

Name: Leen Rivendell
Age: 23
Race: Human
Sub-race: Unknown (she definitely isn't a pureblood human, as her pointy ears indicate, but it is unclear who her father was and her mother is not talking)
Height: 166 cm.
Weight: 59 kg.
Hair: Pink
Eyes: Blue
Class: Apprentice Monster Hunter. She's on a training journey.

Background info:
She's pretty much Morgeth's only friend. The nagah saved her when she was about to be killed by a large mutated lizard, and subsequently saved her *again* when she all but ripped her off the path of a sudden burst of Wild Magic. Since then, Leen has taken to following Morgeth around, learning about hunting and survival skills from her. She looks up to and respects Morgeth, and after the initial discomfort, she quickly got over her peculiar looks and feeding habits.

Her mother, Celesia Rivendell, is a retired monster hunter herself.

Extra info:
Leen's preferred weapons are the spear and the crossbow. She's a decent fighter, but nowhere near Morgeth's level, predictably enough. She doesn't know any magic, but has knowledge of herbs and potions, and knows how to make some useful medicine with ingredients found in the wilderness. She also is a horrible cook.
:snigger:

Name: Maris Kahn, aka "Silvermane"
Gender: Female, for the most part.
Species: Human (born as one)/ Mutant
Age: mid to late-20s

Maris is perhaps best described as a fighter/ranger. A freelance tracker by profession, she uses a cavalry-type sabre, and wears chainmail armour with pieces of leather stitched on to act as a crude defense against bows.

Description: 5 foot 11, with silver hair and chocolate coloured skin (a common trait from her home region in Kesora). Dark grey eyes.

Background: Maris was an ordinary human on a quest in the outer parts of the Unisvel region when a freak mana storm occured. The effects had mostly dissapated by the time it reached her, but it was still strong enough to merge her with her pet, a wolf she had tamed some months before. Ever since then, she has been slowly mutating into a half woman/half-wolf creature. At the moment she looks like the portrait I uploaded.

Extra Notes: She's considered to be quite beautiful, by both men and women, and is also an "equal-opportunities" lover. Also, she has a very fine coat of steel-coloured fur covering her body.

Is this all right?

I'm not sure I want to allow werewolves. Could you submit a different one, please?

That was the only thing I could think of, to be honest.

Well, I suppose I could make her a human with polymorphic abilities?

As long as the price for that ability is enough then i see no problem with it. Remember, this isn't a magic loving enviroment so rare abilities such as this require a huge cost. Also be carefull to balance the character acording to his/hers race.

Wait, I had a better idea while I was in the shower.

Tell me, when did Unisvel become a wasteland?

A few years before the start. It's a relativly recent accident.

Name: Carus Diligo
Age: 22
Gender: Male
Race: Baltan
Class: Warrior/Psionic
Hair: Black
Skin Tone: Tanned
Though not a high ranking warrior among the Baltans, he gained a name as "Crimson Wing", because of how he dyes his feathers red. Always easy to spot in battle or out, he enjoys the attention of the enemy, and the excitement as he clashes his weapon with an opponent's, though he is not above using what little fire magic he knows.

He has humbled somewhat in recent times, after an unfortunate excursion into Unisvel Combine nearly killed him as he tried to hunt down one of the mutants by himself, but still has an air of arrogance about him.

Extra Info:

What he uses isn't really magic, rather the psionic gift that his many fellow Baltans seem to have as well.

His weapon was originally just a ceremonial long handled Warhammer, but has been reinforced to be able to handle the stress of combat. About a foot longer as Carus himself is tall, it also has a spike on the opposite side of the head. He also has some proficiency in bows and crossbows, but prefers to only use those when hunting.

The purpose for dying his wings red isn't simply to attract attention. It also serves as a reminder of his first battle against a draconian, which ended in a draw. His wings match the scales of his opponent.

Name: Taranok Ulgrdate
Age: 102
Gender: Male
Race: Draconian
Class: Warrior
Scale colour: Dark purple

Taranok is a tall and massive Draconian, standing slightly under ten feet with a large wingspan and bulk. He is almost rarely seen without his colossal suit of plate armour which covers most of his body and almost presents him as even more of a giant than he already is. Due to his large physical presence, he is often seen at the front of any attacking force, acting more chances than naught as a glorified meatshield or, quite simply, a wall.

His weapon of choice is a large halberd, which stands three feet taller than him. Taranok's combat style is a little on the slower side, due to his own size and size of his weapon, but he is capable of inflicting great amounts of damage with a limited number of swings with his halberd.

Personality-wise, Tananok is quiet and unassuming. Even in battle, he chooses to stay quiet and express himself through actions. Outside of battle, Taranok is softhearted and does his best to be gentle and courteous, despite his hulking presence. Failing that, he is also extremely loyal to whomever earns his trust and respect.

Hmm, looks better. I'll wait for Mosh's opinion.
It's ok, wild magic always has unexpected results so this shouldn't be surprising. It's going to be interesting to see how the mutation is going to evolve.

If you are familiar with Berserk, then the typical Draconian is about as big as Nosferatu Zodd.

Yes, they are that damn big...

*Looks up Zodd*

...Carus might as well be carrying a toothpick, compared to what the Draconians must be wielding.

Baltans are supposed to be smaller, but more agile. And despite the smaller size, they still hit very hard.

For the record, average sizes are as follows:

Average Draconian male: 305 centimeters
Average Draconian female: 320 centimeters

Average Baltan male: 225 centimeters
Average Baltan female: 205 centimeters

Keep in mind that despite being bigger than humans, Baltans are perfectly proportionate - that's why despite the difference in size, they are still extremely attractive to humans.

Here's my character, moved from the other topic:

Name: Lok'nar Hammerhand
Age: 30
Race: Human
Sub-Race: Keltoi
Gender: Male
Height: 6ft
Weight: 120lbs
Complexion: Pale
Eyes: Dark Blue
Hair: Black
Class: Journeyman Blacksmith, Apprentice Runeweaver.

Background info: Lok'anr is something of a loner. Ever since his arrival on Falgaland, he has always kept to himself for the most part, only interacting with the native inhabitants and communities of other shipwreck survivors when absolutely necessary. Despite this fact, he has become moderately well-known among the various merchants and arms-dealers of the island because of the quality of weapons and armour that he creates.

Moved...(and slightly edited)

Name: Captain Davin al'Dora
Age: 27
Race: Human
Gender: Male
Class: Swashbuckler
Height: 6' 3"
Weight: 123 lbs
Hair: Light brown
Eyes: Hazel

Background info: Davin al'Dora was once the semi-prosperous Captain of the Washala ; a schooner that specialized in transporting cargo around the island of Falgaland. As a "Breach Runner" (as such ships and crews that routinely travel the area between the coastline and the Etheria Breach are called) Captain Davin made a modest living as both owner and captain of the Washala transporting cargo (the majority of which was legitimate :sisi:) around the coast. Skilled with his rapier and dueling dagger and his pair of flintlock pistols that have seen action against the occational pirates and less than honest customers and never without his tricorne hat with its blue Ostrich feather; Captain Davin was on his way to making a name for himself when tragedy struck in the form of a freak storm that pushed the Washala too close to the Etheria Breach; destroying the Washala and killing most of her crew.

Since then, the once happy-go-lucky Captain is now somewhat sullen and bitter about his lot in life. He no longer has the funds to buy his own ship and he in unable to hire on with any of the established Trading Companies; as the feel he is 'unlucky' due to his 'Brush with the Breach'. Davin now spends his time (while husbanding his remaning funds) trying to find his was back out to the sea.

And now for the first minor PC

Naomi Rivvanbough
Age: 51
Race: Half-Elf
Gender: Female
Class: Mage (Elements: Wind (major) and Water (minor))
Height: 5'9"
Weight: 98 lbs.
Hair: Sliver-Blonde
Eyes: Crystal Blue

Background info: While young (for a half-elf), Naomi is a skilled Navigator and has been with Captain Davin al'Dora since she first hired on for the maiden voyage of the Washala using her skills with Wind and Water Magics . Extreamly loyal to Davin; she is the only surviving crewmember to stay by his side since the loss of the Washala. With no family willing to acknowlage her existance and her bitter guilt for her part in the fate of the Washala (even though there was nothing she could have done to either predict or prevent the 'Brush'); Naomi will remain with Captain Davin until they can one again find their way back to the sea.

(Note: There is NO romantic relationship between Davin and Naomi)

BTW...how far away is the Etheria Breach from the coastline? I'm asking for the simple fact if these character premissis even work, if it's too close then I'll have to alter my character. If so, I need to go look for a good pic of them!

Age: 20
Race: Human
Sub-Race: Planet-Touched
Gender: Male(and if EI chooses to play the game, ignore any of her comments on this)
Height: 183 cm
Weight: 54 kg
Complexion: fair
Eyes: Dark blue
Hair: snow-blonde
Class: Apprentice Mage, has learnt some swordfighting while outside Falgaland. Works primarily as a merchant.

Background information:

An orphan, once an apprentice mage in the care of a rather weak but kind mage, Alcair Methers, who was in the service of Niculae Grathin before Unisvel was reduced to Desolation (I don't know how long ago this happened). During the catastrophic incident that turned Unisvel into the Desolation it is now, Alcair helped young Zeni Marivellis escape and, with the help of the last bit of magic he had, he sent him away beyond the confines of Falgaland.

Now, after spending a few years outside Falgaland, Zeni finds himself back on the Etheria beach, his ship wrecked, and the crew missing. After wandering Falgaland for months, he finally came upon the village of Lambda where he befriended mercenary extraordinaire Frell Oth'Thnar and War God priestess Eterna Flamewright. He found a living as a travelling merchant and was afterwards rarely seen by the villagers of Lambda save his occasional visits.

Lately, nightmares have been plaguing his sleep, and little could he do to stem the dark thoughts.

Will he find the truth behind his past? Will he have a hand in shaping Falgaland's future? Or will he just run into a Nagah and get swallowed whole?

Additionaly background info:
Zeni, being an apprentice mage, is capable of simple spells, mostly in the fields of Destruction, Conjuration, Mysticism, and Illusion.

He can handle most weapons but excells at the arts of the sword. He can wield both one-handed and two-handed blades and is not too picky when it comes to weapon quality. Anything's good as long as it's got an edge and a handle.

His life as a merchant has allowed him to come in contact with Baltans, draconians, even Nagahs, and quite a few of the other less dominant races and his speechcraft and language skills have improved greatly through his experiences with the most hard-headed of races. His skills at negotiation and diplomacy, as well as haggling (off course) are quite exceptional.

Which coastline? Falgalands or the closest on the rest of Worgaia?

At any rate, the Breach is about four kilometers away from the closest shore on Falgaland, and a whole heck of a lot more (think 150/200) from the closest dry land on the rest of Worgaia.

Four kilometers... (runs off to do the conversions ...)

Ok, assuming that the Etheria Breach does not roughly follow the coastline; then the idea of merchant ships traveling around seems possable. If the Breach is cicular and assuming that said closest shoreline is near some Cape; then it's concievable that there are quite a few areas that there is much more room.

(I'm running on the idea of an Australian-shaped island here....any chance we might get a picture/map of what Falgaland looks like sometime soon?)

In case you're woundering, I'm trying to make a releastic character here. If it's unrealistic for the Washala to have been in use as a merchant ship traveling around the coat of Falagaland then I'd have to do one of two things: Either revamp parts of my two characters (I want to keep Davin and Naomi...I like the interaction I'm seeing in my head) or have them come from outside the Breach (which seems so clichÚd).

Let me know what you think...

The Etheria Breach is circular (it's essentially a standing hurricane, with Falgaland in its exact center), while Falgaland is irregularly shaped, with the closest coast to the Breach being the Unisvel one, since it's a peninsula. There's quite more room along the other areas' coasts, so having small ships act as trading vessels is entirely possible, especially since Mekanos is smack in the middle of Falgaland, and prevents aerial and land contact between areas such as, for example, Kesora and the Kortair Swamp.

Thus, water travel can be convenient. It's riskier, as freak changes of winds can send you in the Breach, as you stated, but it's also faster and consumes less resources than land travel.

In that case, Captain Davin and his navagator, Naomi, are ready to go off in search of their fame and fortune (and a new ship...can't forget that...then a crew...and someone willing to hire them...or just someone who's willing to hire them. peroid.)

Unless you think I'm missing something. It's been a long time since I've done any sort of RPG'ing.

Still looking some some character pics....
