Harry Potter Copy Wizard Harry Potter?

Another one of my ideas I've decided to give up to the public to do with as they will, a slight HPNaruto crossover, though only one thing is taken from Naruto. Harry Potter gains the Sharingan :ph43r:? What sort of things could he do with the power to copy every spell thrown at him as well as see his enemy's movements before they even happen? Lot of possibilities for this one. Preferably no other elements of the Narutoverse besides the Sharingan as I hate 99% of those HPNaruto crossovers where they bring characters over , wizards and ninjas DON'T mix.

Hm, interesting. The power he knows not, indeed. :)

Wouldn't even have to be the sharingan, it could be some sort of enhanced mage sight or parseltoungue variant thereof that Harry picks up from some forgotten tome or something, if one doesn't want the relatively minor Naruto influence of the sharingan.

Exactly, if one wants to avoid anything from the Narutoverse altogether than he could just as easily gain roughly the same powers through some obscure ritual or something to that effect :ph43r: . It's just having the Sharingan makes it a bit easier since all the powers come in a nice little pre-established package B) . I would love to see you try this Hawk, it would be very interesting.

Mebbe as a side result of gettin bit by the Baskalisk and the phoenix tears prematurely activate and mutate mage sight he woulda (or coulda perhaps is a better word) activated at a later time anyways? Kinda like the vision that lets Dumble look through cloaks and whatnot (makin it a genetic skill rather than a learned one or soemthin like that) Or he could just be muckin bout with some obscure half-legible potion to correct his eyes (time setting whenever) and it gives him sharingan like abilities. Though perhaps without the freaky redness...the comma dots're neat so they should stay. Just tossin out thoughts is all; personally I can come up with ideas but Hell'll freeze over before I can flesh out an actual plot on my own.

Or you could just use the variation on the Sharingan I created for my Naruto fic.

The way it works in my fic is simple too... all it requires is at least eight seconds of eye contact, and then the power of the eye will automatically take all knowledge of jutsu from the victim's brain and copy it in your own.

The catch?

It only lasts five minutes from the last eye contact. In order to hold it any longer you must periodically make another eight-seconds eye contact at regular intervals... which might not be simple to do in the middle of a heated battle. ;)

So if he can hold eye contact for 8 seconds, he can (in theory anyways) pull off anything that his opponent knows, but only for the next 5 minutes, then he forgets it all? Or am I reading that wrong? I suppose that could be usefull...but he wouldn't necessarily have the chakra control needed to use the jutsu...and he doesn't get to keep em afterwards as I understand it. And I'm gettin off-topic since this is a Potter idea ^^;

ps: Been meaning to read Twisted Fates for ages now, get around to it sometime this year.

Yes, that's the gist of it. As long as it's not a Bloodline-only skill, the character in qustion will know how to use a technique. Even if it's a bloodline skill, she'll get the insight necessary to understand how it works, and thus be able to more efficiently counter it.

Now, back on topic. This CAN be used in a Harry Potter fashion. :p

Sounds interesting. I'd take it on, but I try to limit myself to only writing one story per fandom with a similar premise at a time and it's a bit too much like Absorbing Man for me to take on at the moment. ( Moment for me and my slow updating schedule meaning that it'll take at least one year, probably two, before I'd do it. )

So, I'd probably better stay outta this one. :)

Meh sounds alright but I've bever been fond of techniques where you only acquire a skill for a short amount of time, I realize this makes it less 'broken' and thus helps to not make it some super skill but still. Anyway I still think the Sharingan in the Potterverse would be friggin sweet, and no you can't take the redness away the Sharingan is awesome as is and should not be messed with  . I actually own a pair of sharingan contacts, I love sharingan that much. if you're interested this is the website where I got them from.

A cool idea might be if Voldemort was the one who originally had the sharingan (or Potterverse-version thereof), and Harry is starting to develop it based on the fact that he got some of Voldemort's powers when the Dark Lord tried to murder him as a baby. Most likely though, Voldemort's sharingan would be stronger (possibly even mangekyou).

Meh, but then that would require the shifting of a great amount of aspects relating to Voldemort and the HP-verse in general and I intended this to be a 'start from point x in canon, introduce change, then continue, but if you want to do that then go right ahead.

I would leave the eyes red, maybe even glowing red. Then at least there's a decent reason for everyone (read The Press, Schoolmates) to be afraid of him. "OMG!!! Harry's eyes look like Voldemort's!! He's gone EVIL!!"

Oh, first post :D

Oh, first post
First post and already beginning your career as a necromancer, bringing back threads that have been dead for well over two months, but meh, regardless, glad to see people are still somewhat interested in one of my old ideas. Welcome to the board Snthsnth.

Yeah, sorry about that, I was only looking at the first 10 - 15 threads, and forgot to look at the date.

Meh, it's no problem, if you have something to say then you shouldn't let anything hold you back from posting it up, hell you could be breathing life back into an old thread, just don't go raising old threads form the dead with useless, irrevelant, or inane comments, but I know you wouldn't do that, right? ;) ^_^
