Create a Star Wars Forum

Star Wars fanfiction is currently spread out between both the Book and Movie forums and there are many topics covering it that it deserves its own Topic forum like Naruto, Bleach, or Harry Potter. I have counted over 40 various topics pertaining to the Star Wars fandom. This is more then some of the other topics like FMA, FMP, Hawkverse, and Super Robot Taisen.

Per the above, he has not been on the forum since May 10th... that is just under 6 months since he was even last on.

My definition of "once in a while" is a bit more sparse than yours, apparently.

I never once said he gets on regularly, or that he gets on more than two, maybe three, times a year, if that.

We know about May, I think I recall once early April, and I know at least 2 times in Jan. He was on very late Dec 2008 as well.

If you absolutely needed him, you could get someone who has an active WoW account to get on his server, make a level 1 toon, and shoot him a whisper once he logs on.

He did post in the armory thread, he hangs out on the Balnazzar server, and has a mage called Owyn.

He's also in the guild Shiver, so you could bug someone from there to bug him once he logs on if he's not on.

That's probably a lot of work just to get a new sub-forum up, but you -could- do it. ^_~

But if someone were to go through all the trouble to get into contact with Hawk, I would think that the first thing that they'd ask would be for him to give someone here moderator status so they could patrol the forum in his stead...

Hawk doesn't want forum members to have moderator powers. So that's not going to happen. A couple of people have moderator abilities over their own rant subforums, but it doesn't extend to the rest of the site and nothing happens in those subforums anyway.

Ummm... I'm not entirely sure he even handles the members approval anymore. I know he recently changed the lemon access to 'everyone has it' (when I say recent, I meant the beginning of the year). So he probably changed the approval too since he's too busy with WoW.

And it's true that Hawk doesn't want a mod for the forums. Of course, this was when HE was active in said forum. Things do change. <_<

Are you sure about the 'Hawk is too busy playing WoW to check on TFF' thing?

Because if it turns out that he's gotten married and had a kid or that his work has been more demanding, your faces are gonna be soooo red.

Red faced? Why? I admit until someone actually talks to Hawk and talk to him about what he's been doing, it's all idle speculation. Still, even if it turns out to be something like him getting married or not, doesn't change the fact he isn't here.

Him playing WoW, that's what he said the last time he was online. That's right. Heard it from the Hawk himself. Cuze you know, Hawk does have MSN which he rarely uses. Also, Kayeich did mention that he has a WoW account and if he still uses it, hop onto that server and if you see him, proof he plays.

I'm assuming he plays on the European servers and for us non-Europeans, no help at all.

The other reason given (at least the last time he updated his FFN) is work as well. So yes, that is possible too... But keep in mind, work and WoW are not mutually exclusive. Hawk can spend his off hours playing WoW, and also being very busy with work. WoW would take time away from TFF more since, well, WoW isn't as important as work.

Now, it is again, all idle speculation since, the last time I talked to him was in May. A lot could happen between then and now. Which brings me to the third point...

Him getting married and have kids, eh, possible and I'd be happy for Hawk etc. But like many things, we don't know besides what he has told us before. And... AFAIK, Hawk was single when I talked to him. Now things change, could have found someone, have a 'shotgun marriage' and have kids for all we know. And Hell, if I was Hawk, I'd go "Fuck you" to the forum too if it was between family or a bunch of losers hanging out a stupid forum. Hell, even WoW should be a higher priority to this forum. I just don't think this is the case. But until Hawk comes back and tells us what he's been doing, we don't know.
