Dawn's Halloween costume: Nanoha

I don't think I've ever seen this one done. Dawn goes as the title character of Mahou Shojou Lyrical Nanoha. Since Dawn is about eleven in Season 2, she's Nanoha between As and StrikerS.

When Nanoha learns that the girls she's possessing lives on a Hellmouth, and people die often enough that the school paper has an obituary section, she orders Raising Heart to create another Intelligent Device, using local materials, so that Dawn will have a means of defending herself, and her loved ones. (I'm not sure if Raising Heart can do that, but unless it was explicitly stated in the series that she can't, I'm declaring that she can.) The new Device will contain a copy of Raising Heart's software, just as Dawn contains a copy of Nanoha.

So, how does this change the series?

Does anyone feel like writing it?

But...Dawn didn't even -exist- back when the halloween episode happened, at least not as anything but a ball of energy. Even if you assume she was created with memories of the halloween event and having transformed into something, she never really did.

You'd have to use some other character or have the spell recast or whatever or just completely switch time of events, in which case you have to shift various others (such as the Judge needing to show after due to the rocket launcher event and so on).

1 - If one of the Monks is a fan of Nanoha, and is aware of the Halloween incident, its quite plausible that he'd make Dawn better able to defend herself.

2 - We don't know how Dawn was created. It could be that the monks actually sent the Key back to 1985 or 86, to become the newly born, or even newly conceived, second daughter of Hank and Joyce Summers.

3 - Its a TV show, and there are a lot of fanfics that work on the premise that Dawn was there all along, or at least, was there for Halloween.

Easy solution: Give it to Willow, instead.

This way, I doubt we'd have to worry to much about Dark!Willow, either, given the memories Nanoha has of what evil magical girls tend to be like.

Ive seen quite a few Dawn Halloween stories. Most just simply go with the idea that if she has enough power to open untold numbers of portals, remember how many were opened when she wasn't willing, than she probably has enough power to reinforce a memory to the point were it becomes reality. So she may not have been there, but her power is backing the idea that she was there, so whatever would have happened had she been there happened without her there....and now Im confused.

Basically she is the Key, reality and the barriers between bend to her.
