So, apparently it's finally happening. Ryan Reynolds is reportedly still attached to the role and will most likely once again portray Wade Wilson on film.

It's pretty much definite this time and production is expected to begin next year.

There's no "official" confirmation, but rumor is that we may actually be getting an R rated script as the extremely violent R rated test footage leak is what likely pushed it over the edge and into production.

The word is the film is using the definitely R rated Rhett Reese/Paul Wernick script. Reynolds has been pushing for an R rating as well.

From the looks of things we may actually get a decent Deadpool film in 2016. That would be awesome.

Oh, god. I haven't gone to the movie theater in years, but it looks like that's going to change, in two years.

I think this is really going to make or break Fox's hold on the x-men ownership. They'll more than likely lose F4 though.

Why would Fox lose Fantastic Four over this? And how would the success of Deadpool 'make or break Fox's hold on the X-men'?

No, Fox seems likely to lose Fantastic Four given the reboot they're trying to make. If it doesn't fold during production, I doubt it'll bank its budget back at the box office. Doesn't help that some reports are saying the film has little to do with the franchise at all.
