Damn.

Sometimes I forget the sheer number of Special Attacks the gogglehead's partners get.

Guilmon has:

Fireball: Shoots a red-hot fireball from the mouth.

Kch Fireball: Unleashes a "Fireball" while airborne.

Rock Breaker: An attack dubbed such for its claws' sturdiness, enabling them to smash even boulders to bits!

Fire Rock Breaker: A burning version of the original "Rock Breaker" which draws strength from the Digital Hazard element which ignites its claws into flame.

Wild Scratch: Descends on the adversary while frantically scratching with its claws.

Kurenaimaru: Attacks foe with an armor-slicing katana. (Following normal Digimon procedure, this sword presumably appears out of nowhere.)

Neck Stretcher: Uppercuts foe with flaming punch.

Fire Grenade: Spits out a layered "Fireball" which detonates on contact with explosive might.

Fire Breath: Breathes out burning fire breath.

Surudoi Tsume: Attacks the opponent with its sharp claws.

Rock Crusher: Slams the adversary from the air with its claws interlaced; the shock is fierce enough to start a small tremor if it strikes the ground.

V-mon:

V-mon Head: Runs at the foe and attacks with an intense headbutt.

Boom Boom Punch: Attacks by windmilling both fists around and around.

Hopping Kick: Leaps forwards to kick the enemy.

Volley Kick: Jumps and does aerial kick attack.

V-mon Punch: Dashes towards the enemy to punch with force.

V-mon Head Drop: Jumps up and uses V-Head to land with force like a meteor.

Long Sword: Attacks with a sword made of Chrome Digizoid. (Standard Procedure, though seeing V-mon and Guilmon try to have a sword duel out of nowhere would be amusing, Especially if V-mon starts quoting old samurai movies.)

Agumon:

Baby Flame: Releases a fiery blast from its mouth.

Baby Burner: Fires a powerful stream of flame.

Spitfire: Spits out fireballs.

Battle Hawk: Brandishes an axe made of Chrome Digizoid.

Cross Fight: Viciously bites the enemy.

Surudoi Tsume: Tear into the enemy with its razor-sharp claws.

Mach Jab: A punch thrown faster than the eyes can see.

Mach Jab Combo: Throws punches faster than the eyes can see.

Dynamite Kick: While aerial, the user drop kicks its opponent.

Uppercut: Throws a mean uppercut.

EDIT: Oh, I forgot to list what this was for.

Way I figure it, more moves means you can be more dynamic, and making up moves pisses off the fan base, so I posted this for quick reference.

Thanks for the List, Aarik; forgot about some of those.

Anyway, here's the first part of chapter two
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

DevilÆs Advocate
Chapter Two: Wakeup-Call Boss

They found her at the edge of the PyocomonÆs village. She was on her knees crying, Taichi noted in surprise.

He rushed to her, not paying attention to anything else.

ôMimi, whatÆs wrong?ö He asked worriedly.

She only sobbed louder in reply.

ôOh, GodàTaichiàlook.ö Sora said; bring his surroundings to his attention.

He looked around, and he saw what was wrong. He could see why he hadnÆt noticed the first time around, since it was pretty subtle. The only obvious sign of something wrong was the lack of any Pyocomon.

But there was something else, too far away to see. Sora had apparently noticed it first, and was standing by it.

Taichi hesitated for a second; heÆd heard SoraÆs voice and the words she said. He wasnÆt sure he wanted to see.

But he was the leader. He had to put up a strong front, no matter what. If he couldnÆt be strong, who could?

He stood, and walked over to his longtime friend, and looked over her shoulder.

His face just sort of went blank, as though his brain was such a whirlwind of emotions that it wasnÆt sure which expression to put on it.

There were gouges in the wall; three parallel gouges.

Claw marks.

Something had come through here, and left claw marks. And, if MimiÆs sobs were any indication, heÆd done a lot more than that.

God, where was Agumon? Hell, where were Biyomon and Palmon? TheyÆd said theyÆd be here.

Taichi froze. What if whatever had been here had gotten to them?

What if that was why Mimi was crying?

ôTaichi!ö A familiar voice broke in.

TaichiÆs heart did its best attempt at an Xenomorph impression, and tried to pound its way out of his chest in response to his surprise. He was honestly surprised it failed.

Taichi swung in the direction of the voice so fast that he pushed Sora away by accident.

ôTaichi!ö She shouted in a mixture of surprise and anger. She noticed Taichi was paying her no attention, though, and looked in the same direction he was. ôBiyomon! YouÆre okay! I saw the marks and I was so worried youÆdàö

She trailed off, seeing the looks on their faces.

ôAgumonàö Taichi said, grimly. He knew that look. It didnÆt mean anything good.

ôTheyÆre dead.ö Biyomon choked out. ôTheyÆre all dead.ö

Sora jerked back as if sheÆd been slapped.

Agumon continued; he could tell how much this hurt Biyomon. She often came to the Pyocomon village. They were her friends.

And now they were gone.

ôWe searched the village after we met up with Mimi. TheyÆre all gone; thereÆs not a single Pyocomon in this village.ö

ôB-but,ö Sora cut in, unwilling to believe this. ôThat doesnÆt mean theyÆre dead! They could have run, or hid, or something!ö

Agumon just shook his head.

ôWe had set up places to hide, just in case something happened. And if they had to abandon the village, MeramonÆs Mountain was the only place for them to go, andàö

ôAnd what?ö Taichi asked. ôWhat happened to Meramon?ö

The two Digimon looked at Mimi.

Taichi swallowed and walked back to his sobbing friend. He crouched by her, and put a hand on her shoulder.

ôMimi, I know this is hard for you, butàI need you to tell me what happened to Meramon.ö

She took a deep breath to stop the sobs, but that only meant she shed silent tears.

ôI got a message.ö She said, dully.

ôFrom Meramon?ö Taichi asked. ThatÆs what the message had said, but he needed to be absolutely sure he didnÆt miss anything.

She nodded, her face expressionless but for the tears.

ôWhat then?ö

ôI came into the Digital World. The gate was open.ö

ôHow? Why?ö He knew the gate was open; see also, exhibit A, B, and C, also known as Mimi, Taichi, and Sora. But he didnÆt know why or how; and he hoped Mimi did; he figured it would be important.

She shook her head, not even looking at him.

ôI donÆt know.ö

Taichi swallowed. He couldnÆt put it off any longer. He had to ask.

ôWhat happened then?ö

Her poker face shattered, and she started sobbing again.

ôI went to MeramonÆs Mountain. He wasnÆt there. A few of the Digimon around the Mountain said theyÆd seen him running for the Village, so I came here. He wasnÆt here either. No one was here. There were broken walls, and claw marks, and burn marks, but there wasnÆt a single living Digimon in the entire village.ö She said through the tears.

Taichi took another deep breath.

ôListen, Mimi, I know it looks bad, but that doesnÆt mean heÆs dea-ö

ôThe message he sent me said, and I quote, æMiàmiàhelpàusàÆ, and then it broke off.ö She cut him off fiercely.

Taichi shut his mouth with a click. That was pretty damning evidence that he was not okay.

ôTaichiàwho did this?ö Sora asked, walking over.

ôI donÆt knowàbut IÆm going to find out. For nowàö He looked over at her and then glanced towards Mimi. ôPerhaps we should head to the Village of Beginnings.ö

Sora nodded.

ôBiyomon, can you fly all three of us?ö

The little bird nodded, but then hesitated.

ôSora, actuallyàI think I know who did this. Recently, there have been rumorsàö

Taichi turned towards her.

ôWhat kind of rumors?ö

ôRumors about someone who enslaves Digimon. A human who calls himself the Digimon Kaiser.ö

The first word should be they not the.

I'm still trying to find a way to get the damn scene breaks to work though, when I do I'll post here.

EDIT:...

*Scene Break* works.

Huh.

You meant sobs.

She nodded, her face expressionless but for the tears running down it.
Sounds awkward.

Her poker face scattered, and she started sobbing again.

ôTheir dead.ö Biyomon choked out. ôTheir all dead.ö
They are*

Still excited to see the fall out from this chapter.

Taichi swung in the direction of the voice so fast that he pushed Sora away on accident.
on accident sounds weird, try 'by accident'

ôThat doesnÆt mean their dead! They could have run, or hid, or something!ö
their should be 'they're.'

A few of the Digimon around the Mountain said theyÆd seen him running for the Village, so I came here. He wasnÆt here, either.
the comma after 'He wasn't here' isn't really necessary.

ôSora, actuallyàI think I way know who did this. Recently, there have been rumorsàö
the 'way' got in there somehow.

It's going to be interesting when we see the Digimon Kaiser's reaction to being accused of this little atrocity.

Huh.

Now that I'm rewatching Adventure in the subbed version, I realized a subtle joke you could do.

When you put up the Omake I put up with Daisuke watching the anime, have him, in story, know things without being told about them and reference stories none of the older kids have told him about.

Keep it subtle enough and it would be hilarious, up until he get's one or some of them to MST the anime with him.

Possibly Hikari, since she would be the one he'd pester most about it and the one most curious since she wasn't there for most of it, then Miyako and Iori tag along out of nowhere.

I'll probably write an omake about THAT.

Soon as I'm done with this anime.

EDIT: I just started with the Meramon/Pyocomon village episode.

This is gonna feel anvilicious...

EDIT2: Oh hey, I forgot how FUCKING TINY everything in Pyocomon village was, Guilmon must have felt like Godzilla up in that bitch.

Seriously, looking at it and comparing sizes, the tallest Pyocomon house I can see would be up to Guilmon's waist.

Though now I wonder why Takato was able to find a bench if Pyocomon don't have legs, and even if they did, any bench they would have would be far to small for him, though he could have just sat on one of the tiny houses, they're about the same height as a chair.

EDIT3: I've been trying to find pics of Long Sword, Battle hawk and Kurenaimaru being used, particularly the pictures of the cards they're on, since they're holding them on them.

I'll update this part here with the best picks I can find.

V-mon's Long Sword. (Still looking for the card, I have it's number, but I just can't find the picture.)
Guilmon's Kurenaimaru.
Agumon's Battle Hawk.

Also, after looking at those, I find it hilarious that V-mon, the smallest of the three, has the biggest weapon, it's like a freaking buster sword for him, while Guilmon, the biggest of the three, has a 'katana' that's so small for him it's more of a knife, while Agumon is in the middle on both fronts.

EDIT4: Now I'm getting more ideas...

-----

Battle.

It is terrible, it is painful, it is terrifying.

"FIRE ROCKET!" Fladramon shot down upon Guilmon like an angry meteor.

It is fun as hell, or, at least, for Digimon it is anyway.

Guilmon hopped back out of the way, but it didn't save him, not completely.

Fladramon landed on his foot, and used the explosion to cover his movements is his right claw became alight with flames, burst from the blast sight trailing smoke and fire and roared "KNUCKLE FIRE SHORYUKEN!"

Totally worth it.

Daisuke made a note to stop letting V-mon play his Video Games with him, on second thought, that was awesome, never mind.

Guilmon filed away the fact that getting uppercut by an exploding fist HURT LIKE A BITCH.

Takato put this image aside in his brain to fanboy over later, that camera was the best idea he ever had, that one was going right up on his wall.

I think I'll slip a copy to Daisuke, the irony...

Guilmon, being the ridiculous Juggernaut he was, promptly got over it and used his powerful legs to propel himself at Fladramon.

"WILD SCRATCH!" As his frantic slashing wained he raised his right paw and "SURUDOI TSUME!" tearing three gashes into Fladramons stomach.

Fladramon screamed in pain and rage, and FIRE "FLAME SH-" "NECK STRETCHER!" The uppercut sent Fladramon flying.

Unfortunately for Guilmon, he recovered fast enough to complete his attack from the air "-OT!" using his head blade to fire a projectile blade of flames, which Guilmon blocked with his left arm.

Hissing at the large diagonal gash in his left arm, which revealed his damaged wire framing Guilmon loosed upon his foe "FIRE GRENADE!".

Fladramon, not having reached the ground yet, enveloped himself in a sphere of protective fire with "FLAME SHIELD!".

Burning sphere struck burning sphere, and Fladramon escaped the collision with nothing but minor jarring.

Guilmon charged his foe as he landed, Guilmon would FEAST upon this one's data.

"FIRE ROCK BREAKER!" tore from his throat as his paws exploded with fiery wrath.

Fladramon responded the only way he knew of as acceptable, being a colossal, awesome, dick.

"EXPRESS CLAW!" using his counterstrike, he redirected Guilmon's left arm over and, along with both of his own claws, directed them down and back, slamming all three clawed limbs into the red reptiles Hazard sign, which sent Guilmon flailing, ass over end, into the air, arcing over Fladramon.

Unfortunately/Fortunately Guilmons left paw was still charged, and Fladramon's back was wide open.

Guilmon twisted his lower body and spun his left side around, and slammed his flaming fist into Fladramon's lower back, his three claws going straight in, and would have severed his spine.

But since he was a Digimon, Fladramon was just textures slapped on polygons layered onto a wire frame wrapped around a Digicore, and thus had no spine to sever, no blood to bleed, and no organs to puncture.

Still hurt though.

The charge of Hazard flame blasted Fladramon forward, a stream shot out his being, becoming orange light and streaking back into Daisuke's D-terminal leaving a tired but uninjured V-mon up against an injured, weary but INCREDIBLY angry Guilmon who had been denied his Armor level dinner and would have to settle for Child.

To be continued...

EDIT5: After watching episode 12, I realize that Daisuke watching the anime would probably screw Takato over.

Because in ep 12, it shows that Digimon can charge the 'Evolution gauge' by fighting a near evenly matched or stronger opponent.

With knowledge of this (which the original kids never learned, as far as I know.) he would probably grab Miyako and Iori and set up some kinda Fight/Sparring ring where they have their partners just beat the shit out of each other in some park or something.

XV-mon, Aquilamon and Ankylomon would show up on the first day if the Patamon Vs. Elecmon incident is any indication on how fast this works.

With this proof in hand, they would then proceed to... Probably do it whenever they can, Daisuke to get Perfect so he can show off (Whether this would work I have no idea, the D-3's ARE much stronger then the D-1's, though if it did they would have to go Adult and spar at least every day for a few weeks to get any results.), Miyako either to prove herself or out of Idol worship for either Sora or Mimi, and Iori... Iori understands the needs of training and practice better then Daisuke or Miyako, if it works, he would at least understand why it would be necessary, and I think he would do it just so he would be useful.

And the Digimon would be perfectly fine with this, getting stronger and fighting? Win freaking Win.

Oh, and 'Primary Village' should be 'Village of Beginnings' if your using the Japanese version.

I just read through all of this and Man I have to say this shit is good.

I was originally looking for a Yugioh fanfic when I came across this, but this is good.

If any of you do know a good Yugioh fanfic, that would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks

Sorry for being so late in replying, this week was really busy for me, especially since I was also working as another writer's beta. But I'm back, and the next part of this chapter should be ready before too long. Anyway:

Aarik: Sorry, I didn't even notice that you'd edited in another snippet until awhile ago. It looks cool though; I'll remember to use some of the other attacks in my story. I've fixed the Primary Village thing, too.

dr.michael: Thanks.

Aarik 2: Yeah, I'll go back and fix everything when I get a chance.

biigoh: Thank you.

Here's the next segment; a bit small, but hopefully emotional.
------------------------------------------------------------------------------

ôI thought IÆd be seeing you soon.ö Elecmon said in a tone Taichi didnÆt like at all.

It was way too grim.

Sora apparently didnÆt notice the tone because she was too busy being surprised.

ôYou did?ö She asked, blinking.

Elecmon gestured vaguely over to a tree nearby.

Palmon sat on the ground, staring off into space.

Taichi took one glance at here and it cemented the idea that something was very wrong.

ôIs something wrong with the eggs, Elecmon?ö Taichi asked, no, demanded.

The Digimon looked away.

ôI guess you could say that. If you consider the fact that they arenÆt here at all a problem. Which I do.ö

ôNot here? You mean they were stolen.ö Taichi asked, confused.

ElecmonÆs head snapped towards him so fast it was amazing he didnÆt get whiplash. Taichi winced when he saw his face begin to twist with righteous indignation. He cut him off before he could get chewed out.

ôSorry; of course not. But then why arenÆt they here? Digimon are always reborn at the Village of Beginnings. Hence, the name.ö

ôNot quite, Taichi; remember when Patamon first became Angemon? When he was reduced to an egg, he did so right next to Takeru.ö

Taichi pointed at her.

ôGood point. Could that have been what happened, Elecmon? Could they have formed eggs at the village?ö

ôThere werenÆt any eggs at the village, Taichi.ö Agumon told him.

ôAnd besides Angemon, IÆve never heard of that happening with anyone else. I think it was because he was TakeruÆs partner; I donÆt think anyone without a partner could do. Actually, I donÆt know if anyone else could have done it, even with a partner; itÆs never come up.ö Elecmon said skeptically.

ôBut thereÆs a precedent.ö Taichi argued. ôWe donÆt know why it happened that time, so we canÆt just dismiss the possibility that it happened this time.ö

ôSomething that happened one time, as far as we know, happening a thousand time, over the course of a day?ö Mimi said, dully. She moved towards her partner. ôThat sounds a lot like grasping at straws, Taichi.ö

Elecmon nodded in agreement.

ôAnd even if it did, where are the eggs?ö Elecmon asked.

ôMaybe whoever did this took them?ö Taichi suggested.

Next to him, Sora had lowered her gaze to the ground.

ôTaichi.ö She said.

She was ignored.

ôWhy would someone take a thousand Pyocomon eggs?ö

ôWhy would they kill them in the first place? Hell, we donÆt even know if they were taken. There are no eggs! That could mean theyÆre alive!ö Taichi refuted.

ôTaichi.ö Sora repeated, lifting her gaze.

Again she was ignored.

ôI think someone would have noticed somebody gathering up and transporting a thousand Pyocomon and a Meramon.ö Elecmon told.

ôThen what?ö

ôI donÆt think they formed eggs at all.ö Elecmon told him seriously.

Taichi reared back as if slapped.

ôWhat? ThatÆs ridiculous! Digimon always form eggs when-ö

ôTaichi!ö Sora screamed.

And this time, she wasnÆt ignored.

Taichi stopped talking, stunned by the outburst. He looked at his friend, and he listened.

ôStop.ö She said; one word and nothing else.

Taichi sank to his knees.

ôNo. Please no.ö He said.

Who is saying this?

Taichi sank to his knees.

ôNo. Please no.ö He said.
Maybe it's just me. But Taichi sounded a little flat after such a shocking realization. Maybe mention a little more detail or more of Tai's thoughts as he accepts the fact that all these digimon died.

Other then that. I really liked snippet.

Maybe an ellipsis after please? Mmm, though that sounds more like a dismissal than denial.

A few more words might be called for, "Please don't say..." or "You can't mean..." but adding too much will detract from the awesome set-up.

Can't wait for more man. =3

Ask and you shall recieve. I worked on that scene a bit.
------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
ôTaichi!ö Sora screamed.

And this time, she wasnÆt ignored.

Taichi stopped talking, stunned by the outburst. He looked at his friend, and he listened.

ôStop.ö She said; one word and nothing else.

And he did. He stopped talking, he stopped looking for excuses and explanations; he stopped trying to lie to himself.

Taichi stopped and looked at what all the facts pointed too, and then sank to his knees.

ôNo. Please, please, no.ö He said, clenching his eyes shut. They were dead? They were really dead? But, Digimon werenÆt supposed to die. This wasnÆt how the story was supposed to go. He and the other Chosen would get a call for help and theyÆd come and save the day; thatÆs what they were supposed to do. That was their job, damn it! He didnÆt even know what was going on and heÆd already failed!

It was like a bad dream. That entire village had been destroyed, and for what? Why? Why would anyone destroy that village? Was there something they didnÆt know? Was there something special about the Pyocomon Village that no one had told them about? It was possible, but Taichi didnÆt think so. He had a better explanation; one built upon a childhood of dealing with senseless, power hungry villains.

An explanation that had always been horrible, but never quite as horrible as it was now that the rules had changed. Two of them, actually, he realized, thinking about it and getting angrier by the second.

Someone had probably killed them, every single one of those defenseless Pyocomon, for their amusement, for their own pleasure. As though this was nothing more than a sick and twisted game for them to play; as though lives werenÆt being lost and destroyed!

But there was another explanation, and it was one that Taichi hated even more. But that hatred didnÆt stop him from looking at things rationally. There was, apparently, someone new on the block. If so, then it stood to reason that they could have heard of the famous Chosen, the children that had defended the Digital World so many times before. And if they heard of them, then maybe theyÆd wondered about them.

Would these children, whoÆd shown up whenever the Digital World was in danger, do so again? Would they catch wind of the stirring of a new enemy and come back to save the day? Would they come and try to ruin of his plans?

Taichi had certainly thought so. And heÆd thought they would have succeeded, as well.

So, if theyÆd heard of them, and if theyÆd pondered such thoughts, maybe, just maybe, they didnÆt even try to run. Maybe they didnÆt even bother to attempt to hide. Maybe theyÆd butchered off an entire Village of innocent Digimon, and even one of the ChosenÆs friends and allies, for the sole purpose of sending them a message- no! Sending them an invitation!

Taichi grit his teeth and in his mind he thought of the Village. With one major difference. In front of the village, he pictured words written in the sand.

æCome Get Some.Æ It said.

Fine. If that was their goal; if that entire senseless slaughter was for the sole purpose of drawing their attention, then someone should congratulate whoever did it.

TheyÆd succeeded.

ôAgumon, Biyomon, ask around. Scan the area. Do whatever you can to find out who did this. I donÆt care how you do it, just do it. Sora, you and I are heading back to the Real World.ö Taichi lifted himself from his knees. ôWeÆre getting back up.ö

He turned his head to the last two people he needed to address.

ôMimi, Palmon, you stay here. If whoever did this shows up againàö He thought about telling her to be careful. He thought about telling her to run. But he didnÆt say it, because that not what she needed to hear, and it certainly wasnÆt what he wanted to say. ôàKick his ass.ö

WeÆre coming you son of a bitch. And Taichi had a feeling all his friends would agree with him when he said they all wanted a piece.

Aarik is amused!

Though, seriously, without Lilimon(And even then, I'd have doubts, Guilmon's fucking strong(there's a reason I call him Juggernautmon.) and has a double advantage.), a Wood element Data type like Togemon has no chance in hell against Fire element Virus Guilmon, especially if Takato slashes the Meramon card.

Though I recall that Lucemon said Takato wouldn't be visiting this area again...

I really enjoyed this version. Taichi seems a lot more in character.

Jyou is probably going to be just as bad as Taichi when he learns what Takato did. Not only did he kill Meramon and the Pyocomon, he traumatized Mimi and that's just unforgivable.

Aarik: True.

But it's more like Taato won't be visiting that place today then anything else. He'll probably hang around File Island from time to time. Probably wont meet Mimi right now though, but there will be an eventual confrontation.

Seiya: Thanks and yeah, he probably will be.

Also, just so you know, Taichi's right. Even more then he thinks. Both of those plans he came up with are correct. Takato is, unknowingly, doing the first one; this is indeed all just a game to him.

But the second plan is right, too; Lucemon had Takato butcher that entire Village in order to, among other things, give the Chosen the finger.

As I've said, Lucemon's kind of a dick.
