Harry Potter Different Birthdays

#1
Okay this is an idea that I've had bouncing around my head for a while so I thought that I should post it up here for adoption

What if Harry wasn't born on July 31st, what if he was born later in the year in September, (I know that doesn't fit in with the great prophecy that has to be true, but I checked wikipedia and it says that septem is the latin word for seventh, and september was the Roman calender seventh month so his birthday could of been 31st september)

Anyhow, nothing much changes, old Voldie still goes to Godric hollow on all Hallow eve and kills Lily and James, Harry is still foisted off on the Dursleys thanks to the great desision making skills of Dumbledore and still lives in the cupboard under the stairs

But then Dudley turns five and goes to school, but Harry is still till young what happens to him?

Does he stay home with Aunt Petunia and maybe bond with her?
Is he simply sent off to a daycare centre for a year?
Of he could be left to on his own till it's time for dinner

Then he starts school in a class without Dudley in it, will he do well in school, will he make friends, will his friends stick by him when Dudley comes at break to play Harry Hunting? or will they not be friendly with him because Dudley is bigger than them? will he make closerfriends when Dudley at his first year at Smeltings

And then we come to the big change, Hogwarts but in a different year without Ron and Hermione making up the Golden Trio, instead Harry will be at Hogwarts with Stalker!Colin, Stalker!Ginny and her Protective!Brothers, and Loony!Luna

And then we have the Villian of the year, is it Quirrel trying to steal the Philosopher stone moving everthing back a year, or was he dealt with the year before leaving the way open for possessed!Ginny and the Chamber, or maybe they're happen at the same time - what would happen if Possessed!Quirrel and Possessed!Ginny meet?

anyway if you want it then take it, or have any ideas about it then respond

An interesting idea, but there are a few assumptions that would have to be made or cleared up.

For instance, Voldie most likely wouldn't go to Godric's hollow that Halloween. He made the same assumption as Dumble's... that the seventh month is July. This would cause him to go to the Longbottom's personally. I'm not saying that he wouldn't show up at the Potter's eventually, just not that night.

As for Dumble's and Harry being the 'One', assuming Voldie tries to kill him personally, his survival would most likely be attributed to something his parents did rather than being some mystical savior. Hmm... this has potential. Would the fan base around his survival be worshiping him or his parents? Boy-Who-Lived or Son-Of-They-Who-Triumphed? A lot depends on this answer.

Voldie would still be gunning for Harry, just for the moral damage that it would cause, but he would be more arrogant, I believe. As far as he knows, the 'one who has the power to destroy' has been dealt with. I think that Dumbles would fall into this trap, also.

Just a few thoughts of mine.

Nitpick: September only has 30 days. "Thirty days hath September, April, June, and November. All the rest have thirty-one, except for February" -- verse used to teach kids the lengths of months.

Harry's birthday is July 31 because Joanne Rowling's birthday is July 31; she's admitted this outright.

As for Harry being in the same class-year as Ginny, Luna, and Colin, it's certainly an interesting AU, but it changes so much that you'd basically have to replan the entire series. Well, Colin not so much because he's a filler character who could probably be excised completely and not really lose anything; and maybe not Luna since we didn't meet her until Book 5, though a Lovegood family was mentioned in Book 4 and we assume it's the same; but Ginny, absolutely.

For the months, if you ever have trouble, here's a trick:

Count your knuckles. No, really, stop laughing.

The knuckle on your index is January (31), the space between the index and middle knuckle is February (non-31), then come the middle knuckle for March (31), ect. When you hit the pinky knuckle, you start back again INCLUDING the pinky knuckle.
