Naruto different take on a silly cliche

I've seen several fics that have a rather sily premise: A female Kyuubi no kitsune that takes on the form of a young humanoid woman that is in love with Naruto. The whole attack was a misunderstanding or she was under a genjutsu. She is also very knowledgeable about the ninja arts and trains Naruto to be an awesome ninja with awesome jutsus.

Why would a giant fox with chakra that is poisonous to humans know anything about chkara control, human jutsus, or human fighting techniques? Granted the "able to turn into a hot woman" might allow for the latter.

Still what if instead the fox is still able to take on human form and was under a genjutsu, but is really something of an airhead/bimbo and doesn't know anything useful to help Naruto in his quest to become Hokage besides being a loyal girlfriend and source of emotional support? Heck, what if when letting her out to try to fight, she tends to cause massive collateral damage as she can only really fight in her giant fox form? Picture summoning her during the battle with Zabuza...Bye bye Wave. I'm also thinking of the panic if she's summoned when fighting the disguised Orochimaru during the Chunin Exam (or when fighting Gaara/Shukaku) and levels the Forest of Death.

Has anybody tried that approach, or is that type of fic all about wish fulfillment and giving Naruto a Mary Sue girlfriend? I think it would be kinda funny approach to the otherwise silly "The Kyuubi is really a sweet girl that is in love with Naruto".

If nobody's tried it, the bunny is up for adoption to a good home. Just link back here.

The whole idea make me think of a nine-tailed Mihoshi Kuramitsu from Tenchi Muyo...

But isn't the whole "Poisonous Chakra" thing fanon too? As far as I've understood it, it's problems are because it's too dense or something like that, it puts too much power in and fries the circuit.

I thought they said in the Shippodn dub that using the Nine-tails chakra poisoned or damaged Naruto, but I don't recall for sure. Sorry, been a while since I've seen any canon, and none of the new stuff.

As I understood it, the chakra itself was so dense and intense that it puts too much of a strain on a human body. It kills and burns off cells, but at the same time regenerates them.

Luckily I've seen the dub episodes in question recently, essentially it was explained that the Kyuubi's chakra causes damage to Naruto's body... but at the same time his regeneration means that it heals up almost instantly, but this reduces his lifespan in the process.

In my mind this Kyuubi seems to be a bit like Sayuri. Get rid of the other Kitsune shenanigans, give Sayuri a more appropriate age, and there you go.

"Crap. I hope I didn't crush Sasuke and Sakura..."

Wiggle. Wiggle.

And you know, a fair amount of the time, Naruto may not have to fight at all. I doubt Gato could pay anybody enough to face down a giant demon fox, the same for most any filler enemy and even the sound four would probably get their butts handed to them.

And, while she probably can't teach Naruto anything, maybe she can learn with the same drawbacks Naruto has. Can you imagine a bunch of Biju shadow clones charging up elemental Rasengans?

I think that's mostly to do with the nature of the chakra at the time with its toxicity reflecting Kyuubi's hateful nature.

Naruto strolled his way through the sewer-like recesses of the seal, calmly approaching the large cage gate he had become quite familiar with as of late. There, on the other side, was a crouched woman, her shoulders jumping a little with stifled sobs. With a sigh, Naruto slipped between the bars, and put a hand on her shoulder, making her jump. Slowly her head turned, showing Naruto a slightly comical sight, she looked like a child who had been crying too long, tear streaks and running nose and all. Seeing the blonde, tears welled up again and she latched onto her container, burying his face in his belly.

"I'm sowwy, I'm sowwy, I'm sowwy, I'm sowwy, I'm sowwy, I'm sowwy, I'M SOOOOOOOOO SOWWY Naruto-kun." The woman sobbed.

"Shhhh," Naruto said, hugging the woman, "It's okay, it's okay."

"I-I just wanted to help, and it was the mean snake guy, and I-I," She sobbed again, "I shoved out too much power again, and I hurt little Sakura-chaaaaaan," she cried.

"It's okay, Kyuubi, you didn't mean to, it was just an accident."

"Bu-but I messed up, I keep messing up, I'm just one, big meeeeeessssss," She sobbed loudly.

Sakura actually got chakra poisoned by 4 tails Naruto on that mess in the bridge. The fact that his skill was almost burned off should be anough to notice the fox's chakra isn't all that healthy.

Why would a giant fox with chakra that is poisonous to humans know anything about chkara control, human jutsus, or human fighting techniques?
Fun fact: The tailed beasts were pratically the adopted children of the guy who created ninjutsu in the first place. To say they learned a thing or two from him isn't all that far off.

I didn't say it was healthy, but it doesn't have to be poisonous to burn off his skin. Hell, you don't need poison to burn anything, you need an excess of energy.

And Sakura wasn't poisoned. As far as I remember, she just mentioned or thought that the injury still hurt after being healed or was difficult to heal, which could mean it didn't just damage her body, it could have caused damage to her Chakra system like Jyuken, chakra getting pushed in and overloading the lines.

Sakura was poisoned, it was only the fact she was a medic that enabled her to de-poison herself.

Even then there was still phantom pains..

Poisoned the Juubi's right ass cheek! While the anime dub may not bring over every single detail, usually its accurate on the big ones, and I have seen that episode recently, Kabuto mentions nothing about poison while healing her, just that (To the best of my recollection) getting hit by someone shrouded in the Kyuubi chakra is a really bad thing and can be worse than normal blows.

More like Tamamo from Kanokon.

Or perhaps Ran Yakumo from Touhou

(ZUN's art sucks, so I decided to find me some fanart)

Then again, both are very competent, so they wouldn't quite fit.

The hat is stupid but practical. On the other hand she does have superior tails.

The hat covers her ears. And it is awesome.

The hat might look good if she was under fourteen.

The snake is disintegrating on contact with 4T!Naruto's chakra. It's safe to say that it's, at the very least, caustic as hell, and you wouldn't want to be in contact with it for any amount of time.

I have to admit, the hat does look silly on her. I'd rather the ears just poked out through holes in the hat, or remain flattened beneath it.

Seeing how we've been told that Kurama's chakra is filled with life energy, could that be the reason for Naruto's body being continually destroyed? The life energy is what enhances Naruto's healing but due to the sheer quantity/concentration as well as hateful nature chakra, it ends up destroying his body at the same time.

Do you mean like that ancient healing device on Stargate:SG1 that was too powerful for humans?

I...guess? I was thinking of Brionac from the Arago manga; the protag causes living things to rot and wither like "overfertilised plants".
