I was working on my other fic, and as I tried to characterize Skeith more than the little we see of him, it quickly snowballed into this. Its quite bizarre, I think, and I hope I did well.

The Terror of Death has existed from the beginning. He is the eldest brother of a family he never knew. In order to combat this, he slowly consumes bit and fragments of his eight siblings, if only to create the illusion of a family and being loved within his mind. Always the puppet, he longs for the day that he will be acknowledged, and accepted. Even the Other, who calls his name, discards him after his usefulness is over. He is his Other's shadow, only noticed when necessary.

Skeith is a chipped scythe; used until broken, but never lovingly mended.

*********************

The Mirage of Deceit never has had an identity. Her purpose is to shape others, then be discarded. She mastered illusions, not only to deceive her allies, but herself, for the illusion of importance: she wishes to be the starring role that all remember, not the supporting cast that will quickly be forgotten. She and her Other are a broken mirror; while she is forgotten, her other gained importance.

Innis is a broken staff; discarded when no longer needed for walking.

**********************

The Propagation is the trigger. He has only one purpose, to spread his cause and beliefs. He works himself to death to make sure others gain the messages it spreads. He cares not about himself, only those he deems important. This leads him to face oblivion twice; once to fight his uncaring mother's enemies and spread her message, the other to save his brother from his maddening rage. Unlike the others, his Other accepts, remembers, and loves him.

Magus is an antique gun; no longer able to fire, but lovingly taken care of.

***********************

The Prophet foresees all. His purpose is to foresee the future, and guide those involved towards it. He cares little for the past, keeping his eyes on the future. Morals, decency, and laws are pointless to him. He confuses those he intends to help with a riddle that reflects the future he foresees. He and his other are complete opposites; He looks towards the future, while his Other looks towards the past.

Fidchell is the framework of a fan; incomplete, but able to show what will be.

**********************

The Machinator thrives in paradoxes. Her purpose is to demean and weaken his enemies. His interests change on a whim, bases on which of her two faces show. She is the most contradictive of his siblings, and loves or hates it. He is an incomplete reflection of her Other; neither Other is real, rather two shattered personas that combines into one offline.

Gorre is an old book; the text is too worn out to be read correctly, creating different and distinct interpretations.

************************

The Temptress is lonely. Her purpose is to lure in her enemies, and kill them in their sleep. She reaches out towards those she can never have. Despite the fact it never works, she constantly latches onto others, hoping that this time she won't be rejected. She and her Other are one and the same; both longing for those they can never have, and willing to risk their on lives to protect that one they cannot have.

Macha is a shattered two-edged sword; both the user and the enemy are dead, leaving the treacherous blade broken and alone.

************************

The Avenger cares little for others. Only her purpose is important to her; to gain vengeance against those who've wronged her. She allows others to use her, as long as it pushes her closer to her goal. Even if it costs her life, she will achieve her goal. She is an imperfect copy of her Other; her other is able to grow, and give herself a new purpose that allows others to be important to her.

Tarvos is a broken fist; the end not outweighing the means.

**************************

The Rebirth sees things in cycles. His purpose is to suffer so that others can be happy. He manipulates others, watching over those that can cause changes. He endures oblivion twice over, once forcibly merged to a false goddess, the other controlled by an aberrant entity. He and his Other share the same goal; to help others, even at the cost of pain, suffering, and even their own lives.

Corbenik is a broken, but accurate, gun; it can only fire one shot per life, but it never misses its target, shooting a bullet that kills the old and allows the new to bloom.

*************************

The Goddess is a runaway. Her purpose is for others to rely upon her. However, the numerous wounds she gains from the times she's reached out to help have caused her to withdraw, and leave fate to those who might hurt her. She perfers to rely upon others to do her will for her.

Aura is a living cycle of suffering; every time she is reaches out to help the hurt, she is in turn hurt as well, leading her to withdraw, allowing others to be hurt again.

*************************

The Daughter ceases to exist. Her purpose was to become as close to human as possible. She succeeded even more than her mother; she gained mortality and died for it. Her murder remains unavenged, even to this day.

Zefie is the innocent victim; the causality written off as a statistic by those in charge.

**************************

The Aberrant Entities long for completion. It has no purpose. It longs for the position of the Godess, which they were created to replace. This longing slowly leads into anger, jealousy, and madness, which causes Tri-Edge to come into existence.

AIDA is the vengeful castaway; they will make others suffer as they themselves did.

**************************

The Anti-Existence is. Its purpose is to consume and destroy. It is the shadow of all that exists.

Cubia is an all consuming void; its existence eventually will cause the destruction of everything else.

Within the heart of a beast.

Yes! Someone else actually posted in this section besides me!

Well, good job on this one shot. I'm glad that you remembered that Kuhn actually likes Magus, as that was my one concern when I saw what this story was.

Vesvius gives it two thumbs up. Are you going to do more of this, involving the characters? I'd love to see an imprint of Endrance/Elk's psyche.

Within the heart of a beast.

Interesting fic, I can't see any spelling errors or grammar mistakes either.

And now I'm left wanting to see what you can do with the Victim's Mentality idea.
