Not sure if anybody else is paying attention, but coverage for E3 officially began today, starting with Microsoft's press conference. Excuse my jitteriness, but I'll get to that in a bit.
It's all over various sites - Gamespot, IGN, etc. You don't need to look too far, really. E3 will be going on from the 11th to the 13th. It's shorter and smaller now, due to a few changes, but the same feeling and intensity is there. Seeing new footage of games - already announced or new - is always great.
Case in point - HALO FUCKING 3
I haven't even gotten to watching to Mass Effect (coming in November! 360 fans, rejoice!) and Assassin's Creed (in particular! FREAKING awesome) yet. It's like I'm undergoing some sort of Halo-overdose here, and that it requires me to follow Halo only at the moment. I'm very much hyped up, so excuse me if I'm a little...off.
So, is there anybody else following E3? Anything we're waiting for in particular? The Sony and Nintendo press conferences will be starting tomorrow, I think. I'm expecting a lot from Sony, especially, since Killzone 2 will be demo'd and not pre-rendered like last time.
Now, excuse me while I find more videos and drown in my own drool.
UPDATE:
Well, I looked around a bit, and I'll say, Microsoft's press conference was rather disappointing. There isn't much in the way of new footage of new games, but rather, minimal new footage of games people are already waiting for.
And even so, the Halo 3 trailer, despite the rush it gave me due to campaign details and all the fine rest, seemed to be suffering from very poor video compression. I don't mind, but then again, I want answers.
I will make a prediction that the Sony press conference will be better this year by quite a bit, that is, assuming they don't start late and don't accidentally start yet another set of new internet memes.
