Curse.com is giving away a half million Elder Scrolls Online beta keys. First come first serve. Just register with the site, fill out a couple of registration forms, input the key, and download the client.

I expect they'll go fast, so nab one while you can if you're interested.

Haven't booted it up yet as I decided to drop in and let you guys know while I was downloading and installing it.

Got a key, went to the site, looked at the NDA and stuff it wanted me to fill out.

Decided it was more trouble than it was worth for something I didn't care all that much about.

Just so those interested know, the Beta does not start until the 7th at 12pm. So you can't start it up and jump in right away once it's downloaded. You can have a look at the splash screen and adjust your graphics settings and such, but that's it for now.

Also, be aware that you have to sign an non-disclosure agreement. Meaning no screenshots and you're not allowed to post information about it. It's not an open beta and runs for a limited time starting tomorrow through the 10th at 12pm, so get in there while you can.

Checked my email and I'm actually still in the beta from before. Hm. Not likely to bother downloading it again though, since last time it turned out there was a bug and I couldn't play at all.

I'm a good ways into the game now and I've decided I'm going to get it. I'll play the hell out of this for a long while.

I've encountered a few bugs here and there, but all of the normal late beta flavor. The game is working fine and I've had no issues playing for the most part.

I recommend this for ES fans. It's epic so far and I've been soloing the whole way. Well, sort of, occasionally I'll help out other players if I notice they're in trouble and I've had other players help me out here and there. Saving my ass from enemies that were about to kill me on occasion. Other players are also useful when dungeon diving even if you aren't in an actual group. Usually by throwing in together to take down tougher enemies or large numbers of mobs in short lived alliances. No chat communication required or needed or any sort of coordination.

Can't give any details about it because of Non-disclosure and all that, but I'm really liking it so far. Definitely a buy, and I figure I'll get more out of this than I would in a typical month with Netflix, and they'll both cost me about the same after the initial game purchase.
