Just finished playing Empire at War.

This... Game...ROCKS.

Utterly.

I had severe doubts when I heard of Star Wars RTS being made, what with that Force Commander crap and all but...

Words can't express the joy and fun I had playing EAW.

Ground battles with awesome units like AT-AT for your satisfaction... Space battles played using everything from classic trilogy, from X-wings to freaking Star Destroyers...

Hero units.. Goddamit, Darth Vader fucking PWNS as both ground and space unit, and the Emperor is a Sith killing machine in the best Star Wars style! And Han Solo shows just what a badass he is during the mission on Carida showing that Force or no Force, he's The Man! Him and Chewbaaca against whole planet full of IMperial soldiers - hell! One that TRAINS imperial soldiers in droves. And he STILL wins in thebest smuggler style.

Yeah. I'm a Star Wars fanboy. And I love this game. It has everything your average SW fanboy needs or wants.

And now with the Forces of Corruption expansion avaliable... Heh.

I'm a bit mixed on Empire at War.

On one side, the space battles were amazing. Hands down, freaking awesome. 'Nuff said about them.

On the other, ground battles were sinfully boring. I don't know why, but I couldn't hold in long enough to keep with them and it ultimately killed my experience with the game. Can't be sure why it exactly did that, but it did.

For Star Wars games in general, I'm still waiting until somebody brings out another decent FPS, like Republic Commando, once again.

Well yeah, ground battles were sub par, but I can overlook that small detail for the sheer awesomeness of having a fleet of Star Destroyers and a Death Star to blow up planets with along with Darth Vader flying around in TIE Advance and shooting down X-wings by the dozen.

Though I admit, I wouldn't mind a sequel to Republic Commando. It was a very good game and not only because it was Star Wars franchise.

Another KOTOR wouldn't be bad either.

I'm planning on purchasing the PC KOTOR/KOTOR 2 two pack when the KOTOR II project ends. I've been trying to decide if I wanted it or not since I have the X-Box versions.

Never hand an X-box, so Ic an't help you here, but from what I heard, PC version KOTOR is actually better in terms of looks. though I'm not sure how much truth is in it.

Well, the PC version was basicall an updated version, they fixed all the reported problems and retooled the controls for the PC as well as adding a planet and a few other things to it. most of these same things were put up for download on X-Box Live (Which I wish I had). A lot of people like the PC version because of the ability to Mod the game
