Akamatsuverse Evangeline Has A Husband??!!

#1
This is a little something I came up with while watching the entire six DVDs of Negima. What if before Evangeline had a husband before she became a vampire witch and infatuated with chasing the Thousand Master? Well, Here is my take on it. Be aware, OC is in use, as are some elements from various animes/mangas as well.

DISCLAIMER: I, the DarkHeart Of Ice do not own Negima-Magister Negi Magi, nor any other anime/manga elements described within. They belong to their respective manga-kas and production studios. I am merely writing this story for fun and other lovers of both Negima and fanfiction.

It was the night of the showdown between Negi Springfield and Evangeline A.K. McDowell with their respective ministra magi Asuna and Chachamaru standing beside them.

"Come at me with everything you got, Negi-bozu, and don't think of me as one of your students right now," Eva declared. At that point, they activated their pactio spells to empower their ministras' abilities.

"Lic Lac La Lac Lilac/Rastel Maskil Magister: Ministerium Magoram Asuna/Chachamaru!!"

Whle Chachamaru and Asuna fought, Evangeline taunts Negi. "You think you can beat me without your silly little staff?" Upon hearing that, Negi pulls out from wandspace(think like Mousse's Hidden Weapons technique or Akane's hammerspace) what looks like a training wand. Evangeline sees this and laughs at him. "HAHAHA!! Pretty soon I think you will be expected to use Tinkerbell's fairy dust!" She then chants, "Lic Lac La Lac Lilac: Magical Archer-Seventeen Arrows of Ice!"

Negi counters with a Fulgoralis spell and then dodges behind an archway on the bridge. 'I can't believe that she was beaten by the Thousand Master. But if he could do it, then so can I.' Negi then called out to Eva. "Evangeline-san, let's finish this with our strongest attacks!"

Evangeline smirked and said, "I agree, Negi-bozu, let this be the end-all, be-alldecider. And once I win, your blood will be mine!!" And just like that, they began chanting their final spells.

Lic Lac La Lac Lilac/Rastel Maskil Magister: Come Water and Dark Spirits/ Come Wind and Thunder Spirits!!"

However, once said spells conflicted with each other, Asuna's strange ability to negate magic attacks kicks in, while creating a side effect using the power of said spells create a rip in dimensions above all the combatants. What they all didn't notice was a young-looking man that was pulled out of the rip hovering above everyone.

"Blasted warp zones! And I didn't even have a mission requiring me to leave the place I was at originally!! All I was doing was eating dinner and hanging out with Naruto and the rest of the rookie nine. Which reminds me, I need to talk to Kyuubi-chan again. I like her stories because they are entertaining and funny. Oh well, time to find out where in the multiverse I am. Terminal!" Just then a transparent computer blinked into existence. "OK, this dimension contains a lot of magic users, even if there are other elements at work here as well."

While the unknown man was figuring out where he was, Evangeline was floating above Negi, her clothing in tatters. "Perhaps you aren't as weak as you look, Negi-bozu. You certainly are the Thousand Master's son."

Just then, the lights all over Mahora started to come back on. Chachamaru noticed this, and warned her master. "Master, be careful. The barrier spell has become active again." As those words left her lips, red-colored lightning surrounded Evangeline, causing her to fall to the river, her life flashing before her eyes. One memory in particular struck her like a ton of bricks. An image of a man she was in love with before becoming a vampire witch and her infatuation with the thousand master. 'Why am I suddenly thinking of him after all this time?' Eva thought as she plummetted to the water.

Just as Negi was about to call his staff to him in order to save Evangeline, a flash of light streaked down from the sky to her position. A few minutes befure, the unknown man noticed a barrier spell being activated, causing him to look down and spot a familiar face falling to the water. "Hold on, Eva-chan, I'm coming!!" And with a burst of ki-enhanced speed, he dashes straight for her.

Everyone on the bridge witnessed these events occuring, including the hiding Takamichi Takahata. 'So, you have finally returned to this world. The changes that have happened since you were on this plane of existence may or may not surprise you. At least Evangeline will be able to open up more now that you're here, God of Balance and Energy.'

Evangeline's first thoughts when she opened her eyes were, 'How am I still alive, and why do I feel so warm?' As soon as her eyes were able to focus, she sees a face. A face that had disappeared so many ages ago, taken from her by Kami-sama's will through a tear in the space-time dimension. The face of Evangeline A.K. McDowell's one true soulmate. The face...............of her husband.

AN: So what do you all think? Like it? Love it? Think it is so cool that you would recommend it to your friends? I have an idea on the way it should go, starting with the background of the "so-called husband". But I am willing to entertain ideas on the direction it should go, as well as other matchups.

Hit me up you guys and dolls with your happy, happy compliments.

Thanx--DarkHeart :evil3:

First, Eva was transformed into a vamp as a nine or ten year old, and even then, a nine year old wife is a bit young. Maybe not so much if she was a peasent, but she was being fostered by noblility, which indicates probably noble or royal blood. They tended to marry a few years later.

Second, your character sounds a bit too much like either a Gary Stu, or a self-instert (if not both) which will have most fans after your head.

Sorry, it doesn't work.

Was it that necessary to necro a five month old topic? Actually, I rather agree with the DragonBard. Though you are correct in that there's little information, the way that little information is presented makes all the difference. Mainly these two points:

'So, you have finally returned to this world. The changes that have happened since you were on this plane of existence may or may not surprise you. At least Evangeline will be able to open up more now that you're here, God of Balance and Energy.'
And

A face that had disappeared so many ages ago, taken from her by Kami-sama's will through a tear in the space-time dimension. The face of Evangeline A.K. McDowell's one true soulmate. The face...............of her husband.
The first one shows a blatent Gary Stu/Self Insert vibe in the bolded section. The second reinforces it. I mean it couldn't have been anything simple as to why the husband had been gone, it had to be 'a tear in space-time dimension' by 'Kami-sama's will'. How blatently obvious can it be that the OC's going to be a GS/SI?

I admit that since 'Evangeline's Husband' would most likely be strong, being that Evangeline was powerful before Nagi's 'School Hell' curse. However, it really depends on how such a character is introduced and used that matters. When the OC is introduced as the fucking 'God of Balance and Energy,' my personal GS/MS/SI alarm kicks in and I lose interest in the topic fast.

Furthermore, why the hell is Evangeline in Nagi's school hell curse if she had a husband who was 'Evangeline A.K. McDowell's one true soulmate.' Last Time I checked the manga (a few moments ago) Eva followed around Nagi because she at least had a crush on him, which eventually escalated into Nagi being forced to use the school hell curse on her. This is obviously something that shouldn't have happened if she had a husband who was her 'one true soulmate.'

The fact that it introduced such a twist without altering canon itself in the process, along with the major 'Gary Stu/Self Insert' warning alarm going off, would probably had me not reading anymore and declaring the story as 'crap,' IMO.

Not to mention, it was the DragonBard's opinion which, IIRC, he's entitled to have.

Side comment:

Never underestimate the stupidity of humans. Even in our days we have girls being married off at the age of six!

Back on topic. Cosgrove sums it up well.

True.
I was just saying I don't believe it was that common in the culture/time period. A couple of years later, and I could see it, or in a different culture, yeah. Just not that one.

Of course, my knowledge of history isn't perfect, so I could easily be wrong.
