Rei Hino aka Sailor Mars.
Leading to a full year of wondering why Chao is so deferential to her, before she makes the mistake of addressing her as "Your Majesty" during Mahorafest.
Be interesting to see Rei try to explain that, if she's still trying to keep her identity secret, by that point.

Chao just has to keep quiet. Besides, she's not talking about Sailor Mars. She's talking about the queen of Mars.

I think Chaos would be more interesting, after all...she'd meet Tsukuyomi in Kyoto.

Kanazuchi Yuuki (Sparkling Generation Valkyrie Yuuki)

When you get down to it, a boy who has been forcibly turned into a girl so that (s)he can serve as a Valkyrie isn't that strange by Mahora standards.

Who else but our favorite midget otaku?

Yes, none other than Konata Izumi from Lucky Star.

I can see her otaku mind causing her to guess Negi's EXACT reason for being there...and she (and the rest of Class 2-A) thinks it's just her wild imagination.

Cue Negi freaking out that someone found him out and has told the whole class.

Kaname Madoka. Because Cuby really deserves what Negi would do to him.

I was wondering how many extra students could be placed into 3-A and re-read some of the volumes.

http://www.mangafox.com/manga/magical_teac...18/c168/19.html

From the last page of Volume 18 we see the class has 54 seats. 31 Are taken which leaves 23 available. So if someone were to write a "extra students" fic you'd have 23 possible candidates to choose from.

Teen!Hild from A!MG, who was sent away to far away universe as last resort precaution, couple of days before Hagall's rebellion began.

Elzandra Ayla Umbria, AKA X, of A Magical Roommate

The class doesn't have an anti-social explosives expert yet.

Letting Loretta Goldwater near Setsuna, or more accurately, near Yuunagi, would be a bad idea.

I'm pretty sure the last two aren't the same age.
I'm pretty sure the same point has been made for Mana and Kaede. It's not like the author can't regress their ages at leisure.

Jade Chan (from Jackie Chan Adventures http://jackiechanadventures.wikia.com/wiki/Jade_Chan). Originally from Hong Kong, around age 11 her parents sent her to live with their cousin, American archaeologist Jackie Chan in San Fransisco. She is extremely energetic, rarely listens to people when they tell her what to do and often gets into trouble. Jade has a history of involvement with American secret law enforcement group Section 13 and fighting crime groups and major situations with ancient magic artifacts, demon sorcerers and a number of other supernatural items and events. She always gets involved with her uncle Jackie's expeditions despite his wishes and him constantly telling her she can't come. Fairly skilled at martial arts and fighting due to her training with Jackie and misadventures. Jade also has occasionally broken into her great uncle aka Uncle's chi magic stores to practice magic spells without permission.

Jade consistently has trouble making friends with people her own age in a normal setting like school. This is originally most likely due to her personality, particularly her assertiveness and later due to the fact that no one at school will believe her about her adventures or the supernatural things she experiences.

Potential reason for going to Mahora:

A few years on when Jade is still living with her two uncles at the antique shop 'Uncle's Rare Finds' in San Fransisco. She is becoming increasingly bored with her life, after finding ancient artifacts and banishing demons, the life of a young teenager in school is pretty dull. There have been no major situations with magic and Jackie still refuses to let her get more deeply involved with Section 13 until she is of age. Her social life in school is also disastrous, having no major improvement since she was 11 and the few friends she has made before live too far away (in many cases in different countries) to see regularly. She has taken to using internet and online chatting more frequently to converse with some of her friends and she has also gained a lot of talent with computers.

During a visit from Tohru's (the assistant shopkeeper and Uncle's former apprentice in chi magic) mother Jackie is called up for a major archaeology expedition which will likely last several months to a year. Jade overhears and naturally wants to come but Jackie says no claiming she should focus on her education. Jade sulks and goes up to her room. This makes Jackie concerned that Uncle and Tohru won't be able to handle Jade alone without him and that Jade may try to follow him again despite his wishes given her history of doing so. Tohru's mother becomes interested in Jade's situation and is given a description of some of Jade's problems ranging from how energetic she is and her current problems at home and school. Mama Tohru makes a suggestion about sending Jade to the school she graduated from, Mahora Academy in Japan, stating that the school has a large population of foreign students and has a huge variety of things to offer. Hopefully the sheer variety of possibilities at Mahora will keep Jade busy. Jade has become fairly fluent in Japanese from both Tohru and Mama Tohru and some online lessons.

Jackie mulls it over and decides on sending Jade to Mahora. If nothing else the change in environment may be good for her and Jade can assert some independence by having to care for herself albeit in a more managed and safe environment.
Jade is upset at first but gradually is talked into as Jackie says it is a chance for he to assert herself and be more independent like she has wanted for a while. Jade reluctantly agrees, thinking that she'll check out the place and if nothing else can eventually track Jackie down later on anyways. Jade goes back to Japan with Mama Tohru and spends a week getting ready for Mahora. On her first day she is expecting to be incredibly bored in english class since she already knows the language and only is taking it as a requirement. Instead she is surprised to find her homeroom teacher is a 10 year old kid and that the class goes crazy over him. Things evolve from there.

IN THE NAME OF KOTOMINE, KU'NEL SANDERS AND HAZAMA, BE THIS THREAD RAISED AND TRANSFORMED INTO THREAD-RA THE EVERLIVING!!!

It is necro, I do not care, the idea is too big to be silenced by similar useless details.
After reading the pieces of A Matter of Timing here on this forum, I've found the best/worst extra student for the Class 3A.

Minnie May might be better than Rally. After all, 3-A doesn't have an explosives specialist.
